ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -

How much is a "zillion"?

A zillion is defined by Merriam Webster's Collegiate
Dictionary as "an indeterminately large number." So yeah,
I'd like a zillion dollars, whatever you want to say it is.

According to Mattel, the maker of "Barbie," what is Barbie's
last name?

Bet you didn't even know that Barbie had a surname! The
long-legged fashion doll, who has worked in just about every
field you can imagine and still finds the time to dress
stylishly, has the last name "Roberts." No word on Ken's
last name or whether she'll take it if she ever marries him.

OPTIMIZE LIFE NOW!™
with Dr. Rhoberta Shaler
---------------------

Risk It!

"Often the difference between the successful man or woman
and a failure is not one's abilities or ideas, but the
courage one has to take a risk and to act on those abilities
and ideas." Those wise words from Maxwell Maltz remind us
that success in life is likely to involve some intelligent
risk.

Those closest to you are not always supportive when you want
to take a risk, are they? Sometimes this is because they
are unwilling to take risks themselves. Sometimes it is
because it threatens what they define as security. No doubt
there are other reasons, however, will you let that stop you
if you know that this is the best thing for you to be doing
next?

The key to risk is make it "intelligent". That intelligence
requires the mind, the heart and the gut operating
simultaneously If the heart and gut say no, it will be
clearly very difficult to bring passion to anything, no
matter how mundane. If only the mind is interested in the
project, it may never get off the ground. Things considered
"calculated" risks, are easier.

Think of the times you have not taken a risk--times when you
talked yourself out of doing something only to regret it
later. What can you learn from these times? What held you
back? Was it lack of self-confidence, funds, time, or some
other commodity? Was it fear of failure? Where would you
be now if you had chosen to proceed?

Risk it.intelligently!

The Relationship of Oral Health to Overall
Health and Longevity
by Tom McGuire, D.D.S.
PART 19 of 31

Each medium-sized amalgam filling contains about 50%
elemental mercury, or about 1,000 milligrams of
mercury. Numerous studies have proven that mercury
vapor is released from amalgam fillings. Up to 80% of
that vapor is absorbed by the lungs and passes into the
blood. From there it is transported throughout the
body, including the brain and central nervous system.

When mercury from amalgam fillings (or other heavy
metals) enter the body and accumulate faster than the
body can remove them, they will gradually build up
until early symptoms of chronic mercury poisoning are
expressed. In the filling, mercury is in its elemental
state. However, when elemental mercury is released from
the filling, bacteria can change it in the mouth and
intestine to an even more toxic (100 times as toxic)
form of organic mercury, called methyl mercury.

Toxic levels of mercury are measured in micrograms.
This is an extremely small amount. For example, one
microgram is equal to one-millionth of a gram (28.4
grams equals 1 ounce). Depending on the number of
amalgam fillings present, measurements of mercury vapor
in the mouth can range from between 20 and 400mcg/m3
(microgram of mercury per cubic meter of air) or more.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized a
time-weighted average (TWA) for occupational exposure
to mercury vapor at 25 mcg/m3. If set higher it
believes that those individuals most sensitive to
mercury toxicity are the young, the elderly, the fetus
and nursing baby.

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
(ATSDR) takes the most prudent and realistic approach
to mercury vapor exposure. After a lengthy study it
established a minimal risk level (MRL) of 0.2 mcg/m3 of
air. According to the agency, this is the upper limit
to which a person can be continuously exposed to
without exhibiting any observable effects. This makes
the most sense because anyone with amalgam fillings is
being exposed to varying amounts of mercury vapor 24
hours a day, 365 days a year. As you can readily see,
in many people with amalgam fillings the amount of
mercury they are being exposed to daily can exceed the
safe levels established by many regulatory agencies.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby

--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts

The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.
It will change your life. Go to
http://www.the-pebble.com OR order yours from
your favorite bookstore. ISBN # 1-4137-4723-X

The trainees nearly all thought the exhibition of pain
was funny, in fact, hilarious. Some of them really didn't
hear what was going on but what they saw they thought funny.

That is to say, they thought it funny until Sam turned
around, and holding his arms in the air as if to sway them
over the entire group, he pronounced the same sentence on
each of them.

Some of them had to ask buddies what was going on, not
having heard. Upon seeing this, Sam repeated his message,
quietly, but made sure each word was felt in the soul of
each man.

From that moment none thought things were funny. They
each suddenly knew they had made the wrong choices in coming
here.

When each looked into their motivations they knew they
were on ego trips, that they thought they were heros and
wanted to place themselves in a position in which they could
act out the part.

That they were not very bright was the thought that now
hit them. They had taken steps that would affect the rest of
their lives and now they weren't sure they wanted that. That
point about affecting the rest of their lives was true. Sam
Henry only accelerated and modified the end result. He
arranged for them to bear all their lives the things they
were planning on inflicting upon others.

Some may think this a harsh and cruel punishment for
such young men. Yet, think on the effects multiple rapes has
upon a woman, how murder has a never ending effect on those
who remain within a family of one murdered. Consider, for a
moment, how your life would be like when at any moment some
youngster with a gun and no conscience expects you to do his
bidding and if you don't, then you are shot right where you
are. Think, for a moment, on the affect these things have on
the young whose emotions are torn completely apart as they
witness these goings on. Ask yourself how your life would be
under these conditions and then consider if you really think
the penalty meted out by the law is harsh and cruel. Sam
Henry did not mete out the punishment. He merely took the
law and brought it up front and center in the lives of these
people. He offered a specific end rather than a general
unspecified end yet, all was within the framework of the
law, and he offered it with love and knowledge.

Miguele and Ben were having some time tracking down all
who had been trained by this group. They had spread
throughout the region and were engaged in doing this
horrible work.

The punishment the men offered was the same, but,
knowing that all thugs must have buddies, that none are
brave enough to act alone, they concerned themselves about
finding even singles and ensured that each would pass the
effects of the law on to their buddies alone. That meant any
one they met who was a soldier or trainee would meet a
similar fate. In that way, if they missed any, then this new
condition would spread among them as would a virus.

Wherever this new condition was meted out there was much
wailing and gnashing of teeth. The recipients found
themselves without weapons and alone amongst those they had
harmed or were about to harm. The people revolted with a
vengeance. Life was not good for the soldier who thought he
was a hero. The ego of these young men was beaten and
smashed to a point they clearly understood they were no
hero.

If one who was missed saw what was happening to a buddy
and attempted to come to his rescue he was immediately
struck with the same malady. His weapon would backfire if he
attempted to use it, and he was instantly powerless to
defend himself against a mob of villagers. He suffered the
same fate.

Sam, Miguele and Ben all met, hovering over the land
observing what they had done. In doing so they found three
isolated pockets of men they had not yet reached. Each took
one of the groups and within minutes every man in this ill
gotten army received his reward.

Satisfied, the men left for the village in South
America, and the nightly fire.

Arriving, they settled in, each beside their wives and
enjoyed the fire.

The village welcomed them back as did their spouses.
They didn't talk about what had happened. Their wives lived
by higher law also, and as such, they knew what had
transpired.

Mazunta, also knowing, sent out some food and beverages
for the men just returned. He knew they were hungry and they
deserved a good meal. It wasn't really a sit down meal, but
the snacks offered were certainly filling. Each man looked
at Mazunta and nodded their "thank you."

This kind of thing happens with regularity when living
by higher law. It is amazing the things that go on in the
world that most folks don't know about. Often there is much
killing and terror going on before it becomes large enough
that news people get involved. Life for many in the earth is
a miserable existence made the worse by those who think they
are heros. Often this kind of activity will go on for years
in remote communities far from the eyes of the world.

Some of you will say this must be a result of how man
has lived in past lives, that they are reaping the reward of
what they have done in the past. While that might be true it
is wise to stop the cycle so it no more carries on into
other lives. The work Sam, Miguele and Ben performed
permitted young men, who were not involved, to see what
happens to those who behave in the manner the soldiers
behaved. It gave cause for young men to consider their
actions before following their egos or emotions blindly.

TOMORROW - - - Where?

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

WHY DO WE SAY IT?

Magazine: What is the reason a periodical is called a
"magazine"?

Because it's considered a storehouse for numerous articles.
The term comes from makhzan, the Arabic word for
"storehouse", and was originally applied to a place used by
the Army for storing arms. "Magazine" was first used in its
present sense in 1731 when "The Gentleman's Magazine"
appeared.

HA! HA! HA!

A biker is riding a new motorcycle on the highway. While
passing a car, he knocks on the window. The driver of the
car opens the window, "Yes?"

"Ever driven a Honda motorcycle?"

"No I haven't"

The biker drives on, until he sees the next car. While
passing it, he knocks on the window. The driver of the car
opens the window: "Yes?"

"Ever driven a Honda motorcycle?"

"No I haven't"

Then suddenly there is a curve, the biker sees it too late.
He crashes off the road into a ditch. A car stops and a man
runs to the unlucky biker. Covered in blood, the biker asks,
"Ever driven a Honda motorcycle?"

"Yes I have. I had a Honda for 20 years."

The biker says, "Tell me, where are the brakes?"
