What exactly is a monsoon?

Beatles record label 'missed out'
The Beatles' record label has been told it "missed out" in
the fight against piracy by failing to sign up for Apple's
iTunes downloading service.
London's High Court was told that the "genius" of the system
is that it provides security for music.
But Apple Corps is not distributing the Beatles' back
catalogue through iTunes, said Apple Computer's lawyer.
The label claims the US computer firm has breached an
agreement preventing it from entering the music business.
The case is the latest in a long series of legal wrangles
dating back to the 1980s when the record label took Apple
Computer to court over a logo dispute.
'Very narrow use'
Apple Corps is seeking a court order to ban the computer
firm from using the logo in connection with its online music
store, which recently registered its one billionth internet
sale.
"Apple Computer has been able to persuade every major
content provider to distribute through the iTunes Music
Store," said Lord Grabiner QC, acting for the US firm.
"But Apple Computer has not been able to persuade Apple
Corps in relation to the Beatles catalogue," he added.

The company's lawyer also argued that the case "ignored key
features" of a 1991 agreement with Apple Corps, saying it is
permitted to operate in a wide range of fields including
processing and broadcasting.
"By contrast Apple Corps' field of use is very narrow
indeed, being confined to creative works whose complete
content is music," he said.
Lord Grabiner denied that Apple Computer was preventing
Apple Corps from using the famous logo, and said: "They must
not do their business in a way which might cause conflict
with our marks."
He also claimed that Apple Corps objected to the payment
made on every download from iTunes, but there was no
reference to this in their agreement, calling the record
label's case "inherent nonsense".
Apple Corps, owned by former Beatles stars Sir Paul
McCartney and Ringo Starr and the widows of John Lennon and
George Harrison, was founded in 1968.
Apple Computer, the firm whose home computers helped launch
the personal computer industry, was founded in 1976.
The computer company's logo is an apple with a section
removed out of the side. The record company is represented
by a complete green Granny Smith apple.
An agreement between the two companies to share use of the
Apple trademark was first established in 1981.
But as Apple Computer's business increasingly entered the
world of entertainment, the company sought a less
restrictive trademark agreement and a court battle ensued in
1989.
The case continues.

Medical terminology is quite confusing at times and my
entire purpose in writing these articles, is to demystify
this important part of your life. Mosby defines “disease” as
“a condition of abnormal vital function involving any
structure, part, or system of an organism”. (In this case,
you are the “organism”.) Mosby defines “chronic” as “(of a
disease or disorder) developing slowly and persisting for a
long period, often for the remainder of a person’s
lifetime”. The term “degeneration” is defined by Webster as
“passing from a better to an inferior state: to
deteriorate”. Mosby defines “degeneration” as “the gradual
deterioration of normal cells and body functions
degenerative as “to change to a lower level or dysfunctional
form.” It describes a degenerative disease as “in which
deterioration or function of tissue occurs. Some kinds of
degenerative disease are arteriosclerosis, cancer,
osteoarthritis.”
But now this report mentions that you can prevent these
conditions! Do you begin to get the idea that your life
might be a bit better?
The JAMA study specifically mentions heart disease, cancer,
and osteoporosis. Can you believe that list would stop at
only those “health” conditions? (What a misnomer!) I feel
many more conditions qualify. Let me explain. We know cancer
is a chronic degenerative condition. Medline lists these
conditions as “degenerative”: Osteoarthritis Spinal Diseases

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lists
these chronic diseases and conditions: Arthritis, Asthma, &
Allergies, Cancer, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Diabetes,
Epilepsy, Heart Disease, Hemochromatosis, Hepatitis B,
Hepatitis C, Iron Overload, Osteoporosis, Overweight, and
Obesity Stroke …do you think there could be more?

There is a difference between aging and degeneration. One
does not equal the other. We all age, but we don’t all have
chronic diseases. Lyle MacWilliam, in The Comparative Guide,
writes “attaining extremely old age was not a process of
declining health. Rather than the older you are the sicker
you get, the study showed; the older you are, the healthier
you have been- becoming old and becoming ill are not
inseparable. (Pg 6) Please read this sentence again. It
makes complete sense! This is essence is what I really try
hard to get across to people.
Keep these questions and thoughts in mind as you print off
the abstracts.

4Now for the story
Billy and Sonora, together, spent the next 15 minutes
contacting, mentally, the Strikers, the Sparks, the Whites
and Susan Miles. They also reached Tim and Sharon Henry.
All communicated back and said they were on their way.
They all agreed to meet at the Henry's and leave as a group
from there.
It was apparent all things were set up here in Pinehill.
All the folks from here would be coming to Africa, with the
Henrys.
Next, Billy and Sonora had a bite to eat, then said
their good-byes and left to see Eloise, Maz and the kids.
"Come on you guys! Rub the sleep out of your eyes,
you've got guests this morning." Billy was teasing them. The
couple had arrived early and Eloise, Mazunta and the kids
were still sleeping.
It wasn't long before they were up and the village, too,
was stirring. The sun was now up and the day was clear. This
was the best part of the day.
"What are you two doing here so early?"
"Well, we just had breakfast with your Mom and Dad, got
all things arranged with the folks in Pinehill and now we
are here to be with you for a while and invite you over to
our wedding. We want you to come today. We will go around
the village and ask the others too, but we wanted to start
with you."
"Here, sit and be still. Let me get my morning head
organized."
"Hi Maz. How are you today?"
"I'm fine, Billy. Just a little sleepy still. You sure
come calling early. Big day coming up huh?"
"That's why we're here, guy. That's why we're here.
Sorry to get you guys up. It is just such a beautiful day we
decided you had to get up to see it." Billy winked at Maz.
Within half an hour the family was up, organized and
ready to face the day. Billy and Sonora had forgotten about
the time difference between Pinehill and here. The result
was they arrived earlier than they thought.
"You two look good. It looks like you're up for the big
day. You came to get us to come over to your place today,
right?"
"You bet, Maz. We were sitting over home waiting around
and the wait was getting to us. We decided to leave and to
get all our guests organized. That has us getting pretty
excited. I would say we are looking forward to the wedding."
"Good. Life will only get better for each of you. So,
are you going to ask the others in the village?"
"You bet, Maz, and then we want to stop in Matto Grosso
to ask Miguele, Abetta and Romano and Oomano. Can you think
of anyone else?"
"I'm not sure. I can't think of anyone, but you might
want to speak with Mae about a gal she met and is working
with in China. This young lady is very near to living by
higher law and an invitation like this would really be
good."
"We'll remember that, Maz. Thanks."
"You two want a beverage?"
"I will, thanks Missy." Sonora knew she wasn't being
offered coffee, yet she was thirsty.
Eloise got drinks for all.
"Well, Sammy and AliAnn. You coming over to our place
today? We live on a high hill that overlooks the Serengeti
Plains. That is where we have a huge animal migration twice
a year. The migration is in progress now. You'll see so many
animals you won't believe it. I think you're going to like
it."
"That sounds neat, Uncle Billy. Miss Sonora, do we now
call you Auntie?"
Sonora laughed. She had not thought about this. "AliAnn,
you can call me what you want, but Auntie would be nice. Is
that okay with you?"
"Oh, yes. I'm glad you're marrying my Uncle Billy."
AliAnn sort of brought the whole wedding thing back into
perspective. Yes, it meant family. Maybe especially it meant
family. Sonora thought about that and it gave her a
wonderful feeling to realize she would be a welcome new
member in the Henry family. She hugged Billy's arm.
"That makes two of us, AliAnn." Sonora laughed.
"Billy, Sonora, we'll be over later today. Why don't you
go ask your other guests and they can all come over here.
We'll leave as a group, how's that?"
"That would be great, Sis. Then we can get over to see
Miguele and Abetta. Thanks."
With that cue, Billy and Sonora began walking through
the village. They stopped at Boolanga's place and asked him
and Karmuz to come, as well as the kids. They stopped at
David and Pam's place and invited them, along with the kids.
"Billy, Sonora, we would be delighted. This is a great
day for you and we are happy to share it with you. You bet
we'll be there. We'll just go over to Missy's when we're
set.
Then the couple walked next door to see Mae Wiley.
"Hello, Miss Mae. How are you doing?"
"Hello, Billy. Hello, Sonora. I'm doing fine. You've
come to invite me to your wedding, right?"
"You bet, Miss Mae."
"Well, you two, I wouldn't miss that for anything." Mae
walked up to each of the kids and gave them a hug.
"Sit. let's talk a bit. You're not in too big a rush are
you?"
