Simeda Sells Cell Sounds
Wired News reports on the use of prerecorded sounds
on cellphones to boost caller’s alibis when they lie to
their spouses, bosses and others on a phone call. A
German company called Simeda makes a product
called SoundCover, compatible with Nokia phones,
that has the sound of traffic jams, parades, a ringing
phone and a thunderstorm, among others, and can be
played beneath a person’s voice. The company’s CEO
defended the product, noting that some people use it
to play mood-lightening music underneath their calls,
or use other sounds as a joke.
Crackdown on Cameraphone Crimes
Legislation is in the works in the US to make it a
federal crime to use devices such as a cameraphone
or hidden camera to record, photograph, and broadcast
people in an illicit fashion. Unauthorized uses of this
technology include capturing the image of a person
naked or in underwear in a place they would expect to
have privacy. The “Video Voyeurism Prevention Act,”
which would only affect people on federal property,
has been approved in the Senate, and will likely be
passed by the House.
Wi-Fi Borrows TV Space
The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) has
endorsed a plan that would allow wireless technology
to employ unused airwaves reserved for television
service. The hope is that this will allow people in
underserved rural and urban areas access to the
Internet. Television broadcasters oppose the move,
saying that television signal delivery would be
disrupted, but proponents note that Wi-Fi and other
technologies are able to detect used channels and
find other parts of the spectrum to use, avoiding
interference. The usage would not be permanent,
and would be based on the availability of space
on the spectrum.

Word 2000 Outline view is a great way to see at a glance
how your document is organized and whether you need
to organize it differently. To take advantage of this feature,
you must have used the Style menu to assign heading
levels to the headings in your document. In Outline view,
you can see all the headings in your document. If a section
is in the wrong place, you can move it simply by dragging
an icon or by pressing one of the buttons on the Outline
toolbar.
To see a document in Outline view, choose View, Outline
from the main menu.
To change how much of a document you see in Outline
view, use these buttons:
Headings: Click a Show Heading button (1 though 7) to
see different heading levels.
All: Click the All button to see the whole show.
Headings in one section: If you want to see the
headings and text in only one section of a document,
choose that section by clicking the plus sign beside it
and then click the Expand button. Click the Collapse
button when you're done.
Normal text: Click the Show First Line Only button to
see only the first line in each paragraph. First lines
are followed by an ellipsis ( . . . ) so that you know
that more text follows.

It's As Easy As Pulling The String!

A few days ago I found the perfect pair of pants!
Color, size, length, material, PRICE! Everything was
perfect EXCEPT it was labeled "maternity wear"! As
all women know, that allows for a little growth and
expansion - a little "outpouching " of the abdominal
"contents" a.k.a. as the tummy - to fit comfortably.
I thought I would figure out how to work around that
one drawback, but a customer and the sales clerk
thought it would be a "poor buy". Still, I decided to
take the pants anyway. When I got home, I forgot
about them till I suddenly thought this would be a
good day to wear them. I didn't have much time to
make adjustments so I just put them on. I looked at
the wide string-like elastic insert - and PULLED!
Out popped some buttonholes! So I pulled some
more - more buttonholes. It suddenly dawned on
me these were the BEST POSSIBLE PANTS I have
ever bought - Classic and comfortable (adjustable)
fit And ALL I had to do was PULL THE STRING!
How many times are you faced with what seems
like a poor choice, but something inside of you
nudges you to try? GO FO IT! DO IT! TRY IT! Make
a personal commitment TODAY that you will never
give up until you have tried at least three times.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places. As you read on, enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

was wanting to touch base with those he brought
here.
"So, you guys, how are you making out?" asked Sam
of Ben and Helen Striker.
"Sam, this is wonderful. Why did I not see it
before? I was scared of some witchcraft or voodoo
or something, I guess. Ben has been showing me how
this all works. It is so simple and straight
forward I can hardly believe it. It's wonderful
Sam." Helen Striker was so excited she came over
and gave Sam a big kiss and hug.
"Slow down there now Helen. I know you like me
but, in front of Ben?" Sam laughed.
"Oh, I know Sam. But what I am learning is just so
amazing and wonderful, and it was you and Alewka
who brought us to this. Thank you Sam." she said.
"How are you making out Ben? Helen picking this up
alright?" asked Sam.
"She sure is Sam, faster than I thought. It sure
is nice to have her on equal footing with me. Now
we can do things together, in all ways. Thank you
for this, Sam." answered Ben.
"Ben, you know it is not of me. Jesus' statement
that all impediments to learning higher law were
now removed only set the scene for everyone to
make their firm and final choice. That Helen made
that choice is to her credit, Ben. But thank you
for your thoughts." said Sam, "Is there anything I
can help you with?"
"Sam, I know the law, 'As ye sow, so shall you
reap.' but how does that concern my thinking?"
asked Helen.
"Well, I'm sure Ben has explained that to you
Helen. What happens is we act on our thoughts. If
our thoughts are impure, for example, someone
angers us and we want to take steps to get even,
and then we realize that is wrong, so we suppress
our thoughts and hold them within, they don't go
away. They affect our actions from this day
forward, especially when we meet that person
again. It is much better to make up your mind you
will do two things: first think only thoughts of
love toward all things, people and circumstances.
Permit no negative colorations to occur for
anything you see. Second, look at all things
without emotion. Recognize something for what it
is. Do not pronounce it good or bad, it just is.
If you see something that needs changing, bring it
to perfection, but do not allow your mind and
heart to think in emotional or negative terms."
said Sam.
"Is that hard, Sam?" asked Helen.
"Maybe, to start, but if you practice everyday you
will find it will become habit very quickly. Once
that happens you will find your world perfect.
Life is so much easier when you aren't passing
judgement on things. And judgement comes mostly
from emotional sponsorship. You must remember that
even death, looked upon by most men as being
awful, is not, for it is a soul returning unto
it's Maker. Now that you have learned higher law
you will also learn to overcome death. That is
neither good nor bad. It is just that you will be
able to control what happens and when." said Sam.
"Overcome death. I never thought of that. I don't
really know what I thought of death. That time you
brought me back, when I was in the hospital, that
didn't frighten me, so I guess I haven't been
afraid of dying." thought Helen, outloud.
"Death is nothing to fear, but to be embraced,
Helen. It is merely the discarding of the physical
mass that is your body, plus all the burdens you
carry with you because you are man. Once you drop
the burdens in this earth then you are in complete
control of your body. Overcomeing death is a
matter of your choice from then on." answered Sam.
