GETTING THINGS DONE

Do you have long-term projects with short-term
expectations? That is a sure path to frustration and,
usually, failure. Lifestyle goals such as exercise
and healthy eating have to become habits, a part
of your routine, in order to be effective. Career
change also takes time and good planning. It
doesn't happen overnight!
Your world has shifted. Voice-mail, email, pagers
and faxes have made the 'waiting' period almost
unacceptable. With information immediately
available, you expect relationships and goal
achievement to be the same somehow. It is not
just the emotional satisfaction of immediate
gratification that you want. It is the actual benefit
package that goes with it. Of course, as you read
this, you know that it is unreasonable, don't
you? Advertisers stay up nights and get big
bucks to write copy to insist that you deserve
it...AND that it is readily and effortlessly available!
When you want to teach and train a puppy, you
know that it is going to take time and continuous,
consistent reinforcement of appropriate behavior.
You're ready for that because you want your puppy
to behave in a particular way. It seems a lot easier
to give that time and attention...and expectation...to
the puppy's changing behavior than to your own,
doesn't it? Why are you so patient with the puppy
and so hard on yourself?
When you plant a row of seeds in your garden, you
tend it. You give it water. You hope for sunlight.
You are gentle with it even though you can
hardly wait to see the flowers. Are you this
nurturing to yourself?
How do you move gently and effectively towards
your goals? The best approach is a reasonable
one. Break your long-term project goal into
sub-goals, or immediate objectives. Break it into
'do-able', short-term chunks. Today you prepare
the soil. Tomorrow you plant the seeds. For the
next several weeks, you keep the weeds away
and provide water. You occasionally offer fertilizer,
shade or pest spray. Each action contributes to
the eventual bouquet. Each step is satisfying
because you know that it is contributing to the
production of the flowers you want to see. You
know you cannot rush nature, however, it is
unlikely that Mother Nature will plant the exact
species of flower you want in the exact place you
want it without your help, isn't it? The same is
true for your goals.
It is much more than "Bloom where you're planted"
when you are the gardener! You choose what to
plant and how to nurture it. Do the same for yourself.
Grow yourself beautifully.

SCREEN SHOTS
If you ever wanted to include a snapshot of a view on your
computer. Windows has a built-in screen-capture function
that can take a picture of what's on your screen.
Here's how: first find the Print Screen button on your
keyboard. There are two ways to use the Print Screen button.
First, you can take a picture of everything that's on your screen
at the moment.
Or you can take a snapshot of just the currently activate
window or dialog box. To capture the entire screen, simply
press the Print Screen key. To capture just the active window
or dialog box, press Alt+Print Screen.
Although it will seem that nothing has happened, Windows
has actually saved the picture to its Clipboard. Now, you
can retrieve that image into your application. Place your
insertion point where you want the image to appear, and
paste it into your file.

It's As Easy As Pulling The String!
Your commitment to finding a stress-free life.
PART 3 of 4
If you apply this idea to searching for the career YOU
want: not what's available, imagine how much less
stressful your life will in the long run. There is no end
to your personal growth. The idea here is to do
something that will move you forward: not stopping
you from doing things because it's inconvenient or
time-consuming. You wouldn't stop looking for your
sunglasses or car keys just because of something
in the way. You would speed up the search, KNOWING
they are somewhere close by. You do this all the time.
You wouldn't think of not completing your day job
assignments and not get the reward of the evening
dancing. You wouldn't think of not going to the gym
and exercising for months to feel the awesome
accomplishment of running under the 10k banner.
Stressful? Yes, but energizing. All the while it moves
you forward, with purpose and determination. There
is no room for impossibility thinking. A major cause
of depression is the perception that you have no
control: that there is no happy future: the feeling of
being controlled by someone else and you have
no say. Once you realize that you can always end
up with success, you won't allow yourself to quit.
Depression will evaporate, although slowly. Making
the commitment will take time because until you
really believe this works, you won't have the energy to try.
By committing to try at least three times, you have a
framework: a process to follow. Then the energy
starts to flow.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places. As you read on, enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

never had any idea this is what Jesus meant. I am
embarrassed I was teaching what other men told me
to teach when all the while it was the wrong
message. Both Hilda and I are very glad we made
the choices we did and we are very glad to have
you as a friend. Thank you for leading us here. We
certainly did not expect to receive this gift at
the wedding. We have been blessed beyond most,
Sam. I know we will have to give back to aid
mankind. That will be our pleasure." said Jim.
"Oh, Sam. I have never felt so safe, protected,
loved. I feel as if nothing will ever harm me
again." said Hilda.
"Good. I'm glad to hear it. That is quite true,
you know. You are now safer than you have ever
been. You are in complete control of all
situations in which you will find yourself and you
can reflect to anyone or anything the conditions
they wish to project upon you. Further, I sense
you also mean you will no longer have to struggle
for money, and I sense you also, now, feel
secure in your knowledge of Jesus and no longer
care what others, in the church, think. That has
bothered you for a long time hasn't it Hilda?"
asked Sam.
"Yes, Sam. I know it was wrong, but no longer
being accepted in the church left me feeling
rejected. I felt as if no one wanted me around.
That bothered me." said Hilda.
"And now?" asked Sam.
"Well, now it doesn't seem to matter. I don't know
exactly why, but I feel safe and secure. I feel
loved and capable. Now it doesn't matter." she
replied.
"And how about you Jim? How are you doing." asked
Sam.
"Well you know men, Sam. They don't look at the
world exactly the same way women do. I'm just fine
with this, but I have to tell you it does bring an
immense feeling and knowing of security, peace and
love. I feel I can do anything now, that I am no
longer fettered by mans limitations and laws."
said Jim.
"That's right Jim, you cast off man's laws in
favor of higher law. Have you been shown how to
use this power to accomplish the things you need?"
asked Sam.
"Yes, Sam. Riata came over and worked with us for
quite a while. We traveled to a temple in the
mountains, we manifested some food, and we spent
some time talking about the ramifications of the
law 'As ye sow, so shall ye reap.' I think I have
a good grasp on it Sam. If I wander or if I need
help I'll just call you. I know we can speak
together, without requiring each other's
presence." said Jim.
"Good. That's right Jim. If you need help, just
holler." said Sam, "And to each of you," here he
looked each of then in the eye, "Welcome."
"Thanks Sam." they said in unison.
Sam and Billy next walked over to see David, Pam
and Mae. Both Pam and Mae were smiling from ear to
ear. They were some excited.
"Hello you guys. Gee I guess you like what has
happened. Your faces are glowing." Sam said
directly to Pam and Mae.
"Oh Sam. I never in the world thought I was going
to be able to live by higher law. I was happy just
being where and what I was. Now a whole new world
has opened to me. Oh, I love you and Alewka for
being my friends, when I needed friends the most.
You guys have always been there for me. Thank you
Sam. This new way, higher law, is wonderful. I can
now do all the things you, Alewka, and David can
do. David has shown me how. Wow! What a way to
live. My how my world has turned around, from the
depths of despair, to the peak of peace and
contentment. Thank you Sam." said Mae.
"Mae, you know it had nothing to do with me. Don't
look to me for giving any credit. It is your Maker
whom you have found and that is to your credit,
Mae." answered Sam.
