TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -
-----------------------
How many ships per month crashed off the coast of
North Carolina in the nineteenth century?
Who invented the peace symbol?
--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
What causes the rough weather around the coast of
North Carolina?
Water currents and air currents around the coast are constantly
pushing into one another. The Gulf Stream pushes warm water
north, smack dab into cold water from the Arctic pushed south
by the Virginia Coastal Drift. This causes sand and shells to
pile up and form a chain of barrier islands known as the
Outer Banks. Submerged shoals that jut out from Cape Hatteras,
Cape Fear, and Cape Lookout, are particularly treacherous.
Why so many hurricanes off the coast of North Carolina?
Next to Florida, North Carolina is hurricane city. Air currents are
colliding endlessly, causing devastating nor'easters. Waterspouts
are common, caused by warm air from the tropics running into
cold air that builds up on the eastern side of the Appalachians.

My husband and I are both in an Internet business,
but he's the one who truly lives, eat, and breathes
computers.
I finally realized how bad it had gotten when I was
scratching his back one day.
"No, not there," he directed. "Scroll down..."
Man! We do get attached don't we?
Intense, persistant work ethic is the way to getting results
from your internet business, indeed any business. Go for it!
However, unless you are "centered", unless you have
"quiet time", unless you are able to "detach" - then this
intensity will lead to trouble, not success.
I am not going to speak of stress. What I am concerned
about though is that if you don't follow the laws of the universe
then you will miss out on all your Maker has available
for you.
Success is in the quiet. It lies in developing a relationship
"inside" with the real you for that is where you find power.
You kind of have to "SCROLL DOWN", getting beneath
the surface thoughts to see the gold mine below.
Going to work with intensity is fine if it is an intensity that
is empowered from within. It is fine if the power is coming
from deep inside and you are "carrying out unspoken
instructions". It is fine if you are following the "laws".
Only under these conditions will you avoid harmful stress
while enjoying enormous prosperity. You have to
"SCROLL DOWN" to get the benefit of "the real you".
Remember that real power is not something you force,
manufacture or attempt. Your real power lies at the
hearth of "the real you", deep inside. Once you meet
this "real you" empowerment is forever. Joy is forever.
Peace is forever and prosperity just never
stops coming.
"SCROLL DOWN", empowerment is yours.

MEDICAL COLUMN - - - -
by Karin Henderson
Diabetic Clinics And A Few
Concerns To Share
PART 3 of 6
Many times I told someone that this was their body: not
their doctors body. They have to suffer the side
effects. I frequently wonder if they had really read
the accompanying instructions when they picked up their
prescriptions. I doubted it. The same goes for any
prescription or even over the counter (OTC) meds.
There is so much you can do before you have to resort
to any medications. Your doctors office staff should
be able to direct you to a more helpful lifestyle or at
least to one of the many teaching sites that are
available. The Internet is full of good places to get
healthy living information. Yes, there are questionable
sites too, but you have to persist. It was really
interesting to note that the people who attended the
clinic with the highest participation rate were going
to go to the local library as they had no Internet
access.
A lifestyle change doesnt have to be expensive or
complicated. It simply takes a bit of effort and I
guess a fear of living a less than desirable
functional future, to start. But it sure beats having
your toes numb and bleeding from frequent bashes into
chair legs because you cant feel pain. (Impaired
circulation is a possible complication of long-term
diabetes.) We met one gentlemen and his concerned wife
in their early fifties. He was on diabetic medications
but had never been tested or giving any sort of
teaching before being put on the drugs. Please know
that this should be far down the road. Long after you
have tried changing your eating and exercise habits.
And blood pressure as well as cholesterol-lowering
medications!!! My goodness...the whole world seems to
be on them, plus tranquilizers! Frequently, as I took
their blood pressure I asked if the person had an
elevated reading other times, as mine was quite low.
Often people would tell me they were a bit lightheaded
or dizzy. They had no energy. I came across several
people with muscle pains in their legs. (If you are on
any meds, PLEASE read the possible side effects. They
happen very frequently.)

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

Mae awoke bothered. Here she was in the city
of Lhasa, the city from which the Dalai Lama fled
in the 1950's. Here, she thought, would be
oppression, no religious freedom, persecution and
governmental terror. That, after all, is what
North Americans have been taught. Yet she did not
see any of that.
What was bothering her was the fact the Dalai
Lama was in North America seeking pity and solace
for his condition. He was even selling CD's,
trading on his name and purported position.
In her mind things began to look much like all
other religions, their purpose being to create
money for the organization, not to bring true
knowledge to their audience.
The city of Lhasa was looking altogether
different than the picture painted by the Dalai
Lama and his henchmen. The people of Lhasa were
certainly behaving differently than what he would
have you believe.
As with people all over the world they went
about their daily business in pursuit of food,
clothing and shelter. Life is like that anywhere
in earth where man follows man's rules. It is only
when one follows the rules of your Maker, within,
one is exempt from the toil and hardship man's
rules impose.
That the Dalai Lama, the incarnation, from
God, is trading on his name, amongst the innocent
and ignorant speaks not well for his intent. It is
much like pedophilia within the Catholic Church.
It all appears to be a do as I say, not as I do,
situation.
These people and the organizations they
represent are responsible for creating more fear
and bloodshed amongst men than can be properly
appraised.
It is for one to go inside to find your Maker
that truly brings peace and prosperity.
Mae was feeling betrayed by yet another
purported authority. She had no idea why she
allowed herself to think this way, to get into
this mental state, to permit man and man's laws to
govern her thinking. She vowed there and then to
yield to her Maker within once again and to follow
what she was told from within. She had permitted
herself to live in the world and to become part of
it, lacking, momentarily, the discipline to stay
on track. She made a commitment then and there
that would guide her the rest of her life.
She wondered why she had allowed herself to
think any man was an authority. She wondered why
she had gone so far as to hold any man as being
concerned about his followers. None follow the
teachings of the Masters. All speak of Jesus as
being great, none do as he told them to do.
It is all much like the father, who smokes and
drinks to the point of drunkenness, telling his
children not to do that. It was Ralph Waldo
Emerson who said "Your actions speak so loudly
that what you say to the contrary I cannot hear."
Mae well knew that so long as man put money
into a church or a religion, so long would that
religion tell man what he wanted to hear. It may
not be truth but it would be what kept man coming
back with money.
"You're having yourself a fine morning aren't
you?" Susan knew what Mae's thoughts were. "Got
caught a little off guard, did you?"
"Oh, Sue, I was just frustrated that I
listened to men and their stories about Lhasa. To
hear them tell it the citizens of this city are
oppressed, beaten and otherwise living in horrible
conditions. The only thing that has really
happened is that the ones who are telling the
stories are the ones who are no longer welcome
here. They are crying because they have lost their
power over the people and are, today, a mere
shadow of what they once thought they were. Their
impotence is the cause of their alarm."
"Such is the way of man. You listened and
expected to see something different in this city
that what is actually happening. That is what is
frustrating you. You know better. So do I."
"That will never happen to me again. I know
where I can always go for answers that are truth.
There is no cause to listen to any man and
certainly not over religious matters. One must be
ever suspect of the motivation of religious
leaders. They say they want to help, yet, in
reality, they are really after their reward. That
could be money, power, fame, but they are doing it
for themselves, not for their flock."
"Well, I think that's enough time kicking your
own behind. It's time to get up and face the day.
You have learned the lesson you were supposed to
learn. Now we get on with life.

HA! HA! HA!
An engineer died and ended up in Hell. He was not
pleased with the level of comfort in Hell, and began to
redesign and build improvements. After a while, they
had toilets that flush, air conditioning, and
escalators. Everyone grew very fond of him.
One day God called to Satan to mock him, "So, how's it
going down there in Hell?"
Satan replied, "Hey, things are great. We've got air
conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and
there's no telling what this engineer is going to come
up with next."
God was surprised, "What? You've got an engineer?
That's a mistake. He should never have gotten down
there in the first place. Send him back up here."
"No way," replied Satan. "I like having an engineer,
and I'm keeping him."
God threatened, "Send him back up here now or I'll
sue!"
Satan laughed and answered, "Yeah, right. And just
where are YOU going to get a lawyer?"
