Is the Dow an accurate gauge of the market?
This is controversial. Some financial experts question
the value of the Dow as an accurate indicator of the
overall market. For one thing, the thirty companies
on the current list are largely manufacturing companies.
But the majority of the US workforce is employed by
service industries. Another problem with the Dow is
its small size. Because there are only thirty companies
on the index, a dramatic change in any one of them can
dramatically affect the Dow. The Dow is based on the
closing price of a single share of each company's stock,
not on the market value of the whole company.
In Wall Street lingo, what is a "falling knife"?
Ever buy a stock that is falling in price, in the hopes
that it'll stop plunging and start rising again and
you will have found a bargain? That's called catching
a "falling knife" in Wall Street lingo. You face the risk
that the stock will continue to nose-dive. Wall Street
analysts have interesting lingo. A few others:
Dead cat bounce: When stocks make a slight upward
move right after a steep market decline. Hey, even a
dead cat will bounce if it falls far enough.
Zombie: An insolvent or bankrupt company that continues
day-to-day operations.
Goldilocks economy: The economy of the middle and
late '90s. Not too cold, not too hot, but just right!
Air pocket stock: A stock whose price plunges like a 747
hitting an air pocket. The fall is usually caused by
panicked shareholders rushing to sell after hearing
unexpected bad news.

What Do Successful People Do?

When I first began surfing on the Internet in 1997, I
easily believed the messages saying that all I had to
do to become successful (please read wealthy) was to
build a web site, join affiliated programs or start a
newsletter.
Well, after doing all of the above and repeatedly
failing, I quickly reconsidered online marketing.
"You have these two choices", I said to myself:
a. to become an expert by making all possible mistakes
of internet marketing and to try to make some money
advising people to avoid what you've already done, or
b. to change the aproach and hope it's a winning choice.
After six years I've neither succeeded to make every
mistake in order to become an expert, nor found the
right approach to lead me to the big money. But I'll still
try to find new things and ways that will improve my
expert knowledge. Certainly I shall inform you about
my accomplishment. Just stay around for another
six years!
But, one thing is crystal clear: do what successful
people do, unless they are internet experts. Anyway,
you won't live long enough to make all possible
mistakes on your own.
What do successful people do ?
1. They act when the right time comes.
As you already know winter is the time for the sales
fiesta on the internet. Then start pushing. Even if you
live in Australia or New Zealand, I've heard some rumors
that Santa will come soon. After the holidays try weight
loss treatments. People like to look gorgeous in the spring
and summer.
2. They are consistent.
Their messages are clear, concise and attention
getting. They create interest, desire and a call
to action.
3. They use the most appropriate form of communication.
A postcard is much more easily read than a nice letter
covered in an envelope. A website is perfect when
a substantial amount of traffic is driven in.
4. They know to whom to send messages.
Putting products in front of potential buyers is the
key to marketing and selling. No potential buyers
means no selling. If they miss the target audience
they create one using a newsletter or/and optimize
their sites to meet search engines queries.
With these four components outlined, you can
differentiate what's working in your business and
what's not. Now take a little time to think.

Copy text from one page, and insert
it into another.
Grab the mouse and hold down the
LEFT button so that the cursor lands at the beginning of the
text you wish to copy.
Keeping the button depressed, scroll the cursor to the end of
the text.
It's now highlighted, so release the button.
Now, click the right button on mouse over the highlighted text.
A small box pops up on your screen.
Click on 'COPY,' and release the button. This saves the
highlighted section onto the clipboard.
Go to the place you wish to copy TO. This could be another
document, an email you're sending, or another part of the
same page.
Placer the cursor over the starting point of where you want to
place the copied text, and LEFT click.
Now RIGHT click.
Another box appears.
Click on PASTE.

To Be Vaccinated Or
Not To Be Vaccinated ...
PART 11 of 13
The next one is a bit of a challenge to understand. If you
are taking a beta blocker medication, we want to know if you
have ever had a severe allergic reaction to any medication
or bee sting ... The problem is not the drug, but the action
of the drug we MIGHT have to give in case of an allergic
reaction. The beta-blocker will not work as well and we
would need to be aware of that. We also need to know if
you are allergic to latex rubber. How can you tell? The
easiest way would be to see if your hands are itchy and
red after wearing household or cleaning gloves for a specific
period of time. The nurse must follow a certain protocol if
this allergy exists. How does all this work? How do you get
the actual vaccination? You will receive the flu shot into a
muscle in the arm (Deltoid). To make this even easier for
yourself, relax your arm as much as possible. If the arm is
relaxed, the tissue inside will have lots of room for the fluid.
Stiffen it up and it's painful and will most likely bleed. Most
people have little or no reaction (side effects) to the flu shot.
There may be some redress, swelling, or soreness at the
site of injection for 1-2 days. Some people can experience
fever and achy muscles (flu-like symptoms) 6-12 hours after
the injection. These flu-like symptoms can last 1-2 days.
Taking acetaminophen may help alleviate these side effects.
Understand that you could also have red itchy eyes with
some drainage and swollen eyelids combined with a
cough, sore throat, difficult breathing, wheezing and/or
swelling of the face.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places. As you read on, enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

"Well yes, dear. I've never done this before. I don't know
what is involved." said Lynn.
"And you have completely lost sight of the fact that if
David can bring you here as he did, then he has the
capacity to keep you in complete safety?" asked Pam,
a little frustrated.
"Pam, we never thought about that. Maybe that is why
we feel so comfortable. We are in complete safety. I never
thought of it that way, Pam, David." said Bob
"Sure, Pam, we'll go, if you would like to go." said Lynn,
coming down off the control pedestal she was used to
with her daughter. She had been learning a lot about
and with Pam, this morning, and the idea that Pam was
a wholly capable woman was striking her hard.
Both Lynn and Bob Hunter had a hard time dealing
with the idea their kids were far more capable than
they were. They were still in the 'parent' mode and
made no allowance for different and newer
experiences. They were bordering on looking at
all the kids did as a sign of disrespect, and it was
getting to them. That David and Pam could live just
fine without them was still an idea that was on the
hurting edge. So, much of the kids life, they really did
not want to see.
Pam made it official and in the open. "Mom, Dad,
I do not mean to be disrespectful. I say this with love.
David and I are perfectly able to live out our lives by
ourselves. With David living by higher law we are in
a position where we need no one. Please look at us
as at least equals. Neither of us are, any longer, the
small children you were raising. Live with us, not
above us. We are your equal in all things not
subservient, nor your slave. I will do anything for you,
with love and caring. However I take objection to you
failing to recognize who and what we are."
That speech put Bob and Lynn back on their haunches.
They had never expected to hear that from their daughter.
Pam had been quietly seething under her outer shell.
Her Mother and Father were now here enjoying
themselves, but they had put her through hell, and
she was holding it against them. There had been no
reason for her folks treatment of her several years
ago, but for their own ignorance and their unwillingness
to absorb new things. That forced Pam to be on her
own with David. She had done marvelously well and
under no circumstances would she ever let her folks
take charge of her life or interfere with her family. They
had their chance long ago and blew it, causing her
pain she was not sure she could forgive. Even so, if
she did forgive, that did not mean they were welcome
back to their old position. They were welcome guests,
but had lost the right to control her as a daughter,
forgiveness or not.
No one spoke for a while. David broadcast love unto
all around. It soothed hearts that were about to flare up
in anger. Pam had set the record straight and let her
folks know they were here as guests, welcome guests,
but that they had better show respect for both her and
himself. For his part, David did not mind. He knew with
absolute certainty who and what he was. Nothing the
Hunters could do would hurt or harm him or his family.
Pam, however, was not living by higher law. She had
lost her dependency on her parents long ago and was
just making certain they knew it to the point they treated
her as an equal. That is very difficult for a lot of parents,
but in this case Pam would have nothing less.
In the calm after Pam's speech, David sent a message to
Boolanga, and then to Eloise and Mazunta. He was asking
them to come along on the picnic they were thinking about..
They all agreed. "Good, you guys, I'll then need one
more paddler for my canoe." he was conducting all this
communication in his mind, as were the others.
"Boolong would be happy to do that, David." transmitted
Boolanga of his eldest son, now near a man.
"Good. I'd love to have him come. Bring the other kids,
too." David transmitted back. "We'll leave when you guys
arrive." he told them all.
That did not take too long. Boolanga, Karmuz and family
arrived within a half hour and Eloise and Mazunta
shortly after.
The talking picked up and the feelings that were about to
erupt were put on the back burner, so to speak. They would
hold for a while, and the further everyone got from them
the weaker those feelings became. Pam had, however,
caused her parents to be somewhat estranged for they
could no longer look on her as blood, but as a friend. That
was just fine with Pam. She was and would guard against
any more hurt coming from that direction.

Some days it seems like it would have been better just
to stay in bed. When I have those days, I know my Maker
is doing some talking to me. Today it did not seem to matter
what I did, successful or not, it somehow just didn't quite
"gel" into what I wanted. I closed the day tired, and
speculating.

HA! HA! HA!
There once was an Illinois man who left the
snow-filled streets of Chicago for a vacation in Florida.
His wife was on a business trip and was planning to
meet him there the next day.
When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his
wife a quick e-mail. Unable to find the scrap of paper
on which he had written her e-mail address, he did
his best to type it in from memory.
Unfortunately, he missed one letter, and his note
was directed instead to an elderly preacher's wife,
