How old is the game of bowling?
Very, very old. Bowling pins and other bowling
equipment have been discovered in an Egyptian
child's grave dating back to 5200 BC. Bowling games
have been popular all over the world. The Germans i
n 200 AD rolled stones at nine wooden clubs called
kegles (bowlers in Germany are still sometimes called
"keglers"). The English were bowling as early as the
1100s. The Dutch are the ones who introduced the
sport to America in the 1600s. They called it "Dutch pins"
and Dutch colonists in what is now New York City liked
to bowl in a particular section of the city so much that
it acquired the name "Bowling Green."
Why isn't bowling an Olympic sport?
Bowling isn't an Olympic sport yet, but the International
Bowling Federation would like it to be. According to the
IBF, bowling is like many other Olympic sports in that it
requires accuracy, stamina, concentration, and muscle
control. The IBF points out that bowling meets the
minimum requirements set by the International Olympic
Committee for gaining acceptance (the rules state that
an Olympic sport must be contested in 75 countries for
men's competition and on four continents, and 40 countries
for women on three continents).

Email has changed the way we do business. Sure,
people complain about the amount of Email they receive.
But when all is said and done, using Email has impacted
business in a positive way and has the edge over
other methods of communication.
Here are five advantages of using Email:
Managing Email is Easy
You can manage all your correspondence on screen
and so can your customers. Your proposal can be
answered, revised, stored, and sent to others, all without
reams of paper involved.
Email is Fast
Mail is delivered instantly...from your office to anywhere
in the world. No other method of delivery can provide
this service. Timely buying and selling decisions can
be made in a heartbeat.
Email is Inexpensive
Compared to telephone calls, faxes, or over night
courier service, Email is less expensive.
Email is Easy to Filter
The subject line on an Email makes it easy to prioritize
messages. The reader can identify ritical correspondence
quickly and dealt with it immediately. Unlike regular mail
which needs to be opened and reviewed, or voice mail
which requires you to either listen to or scan all your

Registry
Occasionally, something happens to cause damage to your
Windows 95/98 registry. If your computer is completely dead, and it
appears that the registry is the problem, shut down, your computer.
Now turn on your PC, and while booting, hold down the F 8 button
until the startup menu appears. Select the "Command
Prompt" option. When the DOS appears, type SCANREG/RESTORE
at the prompt. Now, Press Enter at the MRC (Microsoft Registry
Checker) screen to restore the most recent of the five
backups that Windows creates. Now, reboot.

To Be Vaccinated Or
Not To Be Vaccinated ...

These reactions can begin 6-12 hours after the vaccination
and last 1-2 days. Should there be a prolonged reaction: fever
nausea, vomiting, tenderness, and redness or swelling at
the injection site beyond 48 hours, see your physician. You
must also notify the clinic, as we have to track these
reactions. Immediate - presumably allergic - reactions
(such as hives, angioedema, allergic asthma, or systemic
anaphylaxis) occur rarely after influenza vaccination.
These reactions probably result from hypersensitivity
to some vaccine component - the majority is most likely
related to residual egg protein. Individuals with anaphylactic
hypersensitivity to eggs should not be given influenza
vaccine. How do you know if you are allergic to this? If
you eat any egg products and end up with hives, swelling
of the lips or tongue or experience acute respiratory
distress or collapse, DON'T BE VACCINATED. Anaphylactic
reaction, which is rare, BUT THEY DO OCCASIONALLY
occur. I have given you some general research information
and my own experience. I would encourage you to become
knowledgeable about this flu situation. I see many of us
have serious health challenges that reduce our ability to
fight something as "simple" as a flu episode. You may
notice I "preach" a lot about rebuilding your immune
system. With a weak one, you are prone to everything
coming along. With a strong one, you can fight off most
that comes at you. So the question is: which would you
rather have? Daily I see the effects of degenerative
conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc.
You don't have to accept them as inevitable. A strong
body will help overcome all kinds of diseases. Please
use this information for educational purposes only.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places. As you read on, enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

The kids immediately started a game of ball. This time
most of the adults played too. They played out faster than
the kids but the whole game was fun.
There is something about adults being kids again that
creates memorable times, both for the real kids and for
the adults. The kids love it when an adult plays the games
they, the kids, are interested in. It says to the kids they
are somehow doing right. Coaching and encouraging is
not the same as participating.
It was not long, though, before the adults were tired out,
completely, and had to rest.
"Wow!" said Bob Hunter. "I haven't played that hard in years."
Pam came to sit down beside him. "I know, Dad, nor have I."
David, Boolanga, Mazunta and Eloise lasted a little longer.
Mae and Lynn were sitting on the sidelines enjoying the
game as spectators, as was Karmuz.
Soon, Eloise came over and, herself, became a spectator.
"Gee, playing like that in this hot weather can wear a person
out. It's fun though. We likely don't do it enough."
"You'd best be careful, what with that baby and
all." said Karmuz.
"Yes, Eloise, I keep forgetting about that. You don't show
much yet and you get away with a lot. You must look out.
Over exertion is not the best way to go." said Mae,
suddenly remembering Eloise was in a family way.
"How long have you to go Eloise?" asked Lynn.
"I think another five months, Mrs. Hunter." she answered.
Soon, only the kids and young adults were playing. The
others were now sitting in the sun and soaking up the rays.
"Anyone for a beverage?" asked Eloise.
All said "Yes."
She manifested a tasty fruit drink in plastic containers,
placed right in front of everyone. It was not a surprise to
anyone but Bob and Lynn. They all drank their drink
and quenched their thirst.
"Anyone want anymore?" she asked.
Three of them wanted more, and their glasses were refilled.
The others said no, and their glasses disappeared as
quickly as they had appeared. When the three who wanted
seconds had finished their drinks and put their glasses
down, they, too, disappeared.
The subtle, quiet, unassuming way this was done, and
accepted by the others as common fare, was a little
unnerving for Bob and Lynn. It seems that everyone but
them had come to expect this kind of thing in their daily
lives, Mae Wiley included.
This was an example of the daily, possible use of higher
law. No one thought anything of it except Bob and Lynn.
They laid out a woven grass mat on the ground in the
shade of the trees and there spread out the things the
ladies had packed for lunch. It was now well past mid
day and in the heat of the day. It was a time for
refreshment and rest.
The group sat around the woven mat, campfire style,
and talked the afternoon away. From time to time they
would eat, but they were enjoying the mix of North
American and South American cultures.
"Have you been to Pinehill, Mazunta?" asked Bob.
"Yes, Mr. Hunter. Many times. I had to see the environment
in which my wife was raised. I like her parents very much
and they always make me welcome." answered Mazunta.
Bob Hunter might have imagined that would be Mazunta's
response. What with living by higher law, Mazunta would
be able to do anything. Somehow it made Bob feel
inadequate.
"Mr. Hunter, Pinehill is a very nice place to live. Pam,
Eloise, and David have told me quite a bit about it. Then
when we were wed we had many guests down here from
Pinehill. They all told me different snippets of life in your
city. It sounds nice." said Mazunta, knowing what was
going on in Bob Hunter's mind.
David spoke up, "You know you guys, I've been watching
those clouds and I think we are going to get rain here pretty
quick. It doesn't look like it will last, or spoil the fire tonight,
but we're going to get wet before we get home."
In Pinehill that would mean that folks would scurry inside.
The rains were cool. Here folks didn't seem to move. Rain
was so much a part of life here they simply accepted
David's observation and kept on talking.
