Guilt Can Force The Wrong Conclusion!

Late one Saturday evening, I was awakened by the
ringing of my phone.
In a sleepy grumpy voice I said hello. The party on the
other end of the line paused for a moment before
rushing breathlessly into a lengthy speech.
"Mom, this is Susan and I'm sorry I woke you up,
but I had to call because I'm going to be a little late
getting home. See, Dad's car has a flat but it's not
my fault. Honest! I don't know what happened. The
tire just went flat while we were inside the theater.
Please don't be mad, okay?"
Since I don't have any daughters, I knew the person
had dialed my number by mistake.
"I'm sorry dear," I replied, "but you've reached the
wrong number. I don't have a daughter named Susan."
"Wow, Mom," the young woman's voice replied,
"I didn't think you'd be this mad."
Well I've been there, bought the T-shirt. Even if the tire
was flat the youngster was speaking with who she thought
was her Mother, with a guilty tone or feeling.
If the event was legitimate she still responded as guilty, and
that guilty conscience had her so she was not listening to
the voice. She had pronounced punishment on herself
because that is what she was looking for.
That is the way with all of us when we do things against our
own conscience. The moment we feel those pangs of guilt
is the moment we begin to look for punishment for ourselves.
That is why it is so important for us to seek truth. The more
we do, the more we learn and soon we become strong in
knowledge, if not with real power.
The more guilt, the greater the likelihood we will interpret
situations incorrectly. It comes from looking through glasses
of guilt, rather than those clean, crisp, clear glasses of
brilliant truth and confidence.
It is likely all who read this know this truth from childhood.
Yet some fail to learn its lesson. They continue to practice
these things that sponsor guilt and the consequent result
is less, far less than what one wants, for it is then one is
looking for punishment to once more cleanse the sense
of guilt.
The circle becomes a pattern. A pattern becomes a habit.
A habit becomes a life, and the life is one of repeated
guilt and suffering.
The answer then is to live within the bounds of your
conscience and strive to broaden the bounds thereof so
you can do all you need to do in good conscience.

Now, create the source document, the document with the
names, addresses, and any other text that differs from

You can use an address list that you have already created
and saved as the source document. To use that list, however,
it must be in a table or database format.
Now, merge the two documents to generate the form letters.

Data was also collected with regard to their antenatal progress,
and factorspredisposing to anaemia in pregnancy. Logistic
regression, Chi-square test, Fischer's exact test,
Mantel-Haenszel test were used to assess the relationships
between categorical variables.
RESULTS: The prevalence of anaemia at delivery was 15.3%.
The most common cause of anaemia in pregnancy was due
to iron deficiency (81.3%). The occurrence of anaemia in
pregnancy is related to the socio-economic status of the
women. Multiparous women of the lower socio-economic
class who tend to book late in pregnancy were found to
have the highest risk of anaemia. Multivariate logistic
regression analysis revealed iron prophylaxis, haemoglobin
level at booking, race and previous history of anaemia in
earlier pregnancy as important predictors of anaemia
at delivery. The odds of anaemia for a woman not on therapy
was about 11 times that of her counterpart on prophylactic
iron therapy (95% CI 8.76-14.13). A 55% reduction in
odds of anaemia was estimated per 1 gm% increase in
haemoglobin level at booking. As compared to Chinese,
Malays and Indians who experienced significant increase
in odds of anaemia of 95% and 58% respectively. Further,
a pregnant woman with a previous history of anaemia
is 2.6 times as likely to be anaemic, as compared with
one without history of anaemia. Except for a higher
incidence of preterm delivery, there was no other
statistically increased risk of complications in the
antepartum, intrapartum or postpartum periods.

to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.

waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.

The Bishop called to the workman he spoke to the
Cardinal about. The man came walking up the high
steps. He was puffing when he arrived. It was, of course,
beneath the Bishop to meet him halfway. Now that he
was Bishop, he expected people to come running to his
service whenever he requested it. Such is the arrogance
of the hierarchy. It can be easily seen in every church in
the land.
"Yes, sir." the man said as he bowed, taking the
outstretched hand of the Bishop and kissed it.
"You have some friends, I saw you speaking with the
other day, over there by the sidewalk. They look like they
drink a lot. I'll wager they need a lot of money if they drink
a lot. Do you think they would do a job for me? I will pay
them handsomely?" the Bishop inquired.
"If you say you will pay, they will do the job." responded
the man.
"Then ask them when you next see them. Tell them to
meet me behind the church, by that small, hidden door
at the back, at ten in the morning." said the Bishop.
"I will tell them." said the man who was bowing as he was
backing up. He turned and returned down the stairs to the
task he had been working on.
The Bishop was pleased. That small door led directly to a
darkened hallway that led to stairs down to level one and
level two basements. It was very rare that anyone went down
to either level, but certainly not even once a year was the
second level visited.
He knew just what he was going to do with the kids when
they arrived. He would keep them down at the second
level in the dark. He, himself would bring food down here
once every two days. When he came he would bang doors,
drag keys, clink metal cups on steel door knobs and the
like. It would not take much time before the children would
do his bidding. Hunger and thirst alone would soon have
them begging to do his bidding.
To ensure their cooperation he would be rough with them,
in the dark. They would not see or know who he was or
where they were. He would beat them. He would wake
them at all hours of the day or night. Each would be in a
locked room by themselves. They would have no company
to speak with or hear or see.
He reckoned that after two or so beatings they would be
quite willing to do as he asked.
He smiled, while standing there on the steps of the church.
He was smiling at the vision he saw within his mind. He felt
that soon the kids at the orphanage turned shrine would
be willing to listen to him.
"What are you so happy about Bishop? You have a smile
as wide as a Cheshire Cat." asked a passing worshiper.
"Oh, I was just thinking of what a wonderful day our Lord has
given us, sister. I am always pleased to be in His service
on days as bright and cheery as this." he lied to the inquirer.
He turned and walked back within the church and to his
office. There were pastors at this church who tended to
the business. So he was free to sit in his office and
plan away.
Knowing how he would handle the kids when they arrived,
he must figure a way to ensure the kidnappers would
speak to no one. He calculated that if he had them
thinking they were sincerely on a mission in God's service,
and that secrecy was not only mandatory but severe
punishment would be meted out in breach thereof, he
would likely have his secret kept. Yet, men of little
conscience thought nothing of revealing secrets. That
was their stock in trade. That they would have a lot of
money suddenly, plus having tongues loosened with
liquor, posed not a bright future for the keeping of secrets.
He pondered for hours. He was trying to avoid the inevitable,
but he kept coming back to it. The only way the secret
could be kept would be if those tongues were silenced
forever. That meant one of two things. Either he had to
have their tongues removed or he would have to cause
them to be killed.
The Bishop decided the latter was the simplest and surest
method. He sought out another man, one with whom he
had dealings on many other matters. This man, he already
knew, would keep his mouth shut. He calculated he had
one day after the children were in custody, and then he
would have to have the deed done.
Through another source, he summoned this other man.
He spoke with him, late at night and in the deepest of
shadows where they were not seen by anyone.
