Cornpone and Treewood

Cornpone Taggart and Hamstrung Treewood are a
couple country hicks. Cornpone, known as "Pone" or
"Old Pone" earns his living on the internet, and has
since he left what schooling he had. He's a lazy cuss,
and figured the internet was the way to earn the kind
of living he wanted. He thought it beat the backbreaking
sweat soaking work that was the kind you could
get in his town.
Hamstrung Treewood, didn't pay much attention to
computers in school and went out to work in the
backbreaking world in town. He had been without
work for a while and Pone was teaching him how to
set up a business on the internet.
The story continues.

"Hi Strung. How's yous all adoin' this week. Theys shore
lots adoin' what with Thanksginin' an' all." said
Cornpone Taggart as his buddy Hamstrung Treewood
came running up.
"I's adoin' fine there Pone. How's y'all?" asked Strung.
"I's fine. Misses is fine. Kids is fine, Strung. Thanks
fer askin'." said Pone.
"I's ahopin' yous an ever one has a good
Thanksgivin'. " said Strung.
"Thanks Strung. Thanks. Ya know I's was agonna talk
ta yous 'bout yer writin'. Does yous 'member?" asked Pone.
"I's sure does Pone. Tha's why I's come over her ta talk
wit yous." said Strung.
"Well, Strung I's bin a watchin yer writin'. I's athinkin'
yous is good enuf ta start sendin' yer stuff ta other
ezines." said Pone.
"Wow, Pone! Yous means tha'?" asked Strung.
"Sure I's means it Strung. Does yous knows why yous
should be asendin' yer stuff ta other ezines?" asked Pone.
"Not ezactly Pone. Why?" answered Strung.
"Cause'n tha's where yous starts ta git better known. Not
all ezines is agonna run yer material jus' cause'n theys
got it. But they agonna use yer material when the occasion
fits. Tha' means tha' folks alookin' at yer material will likely
come visit yer site 'causin' of the information in the credits
box. Tha's a good way ta build suscribers ta yer ezine,
Strung. The more yous does that, the more suscribers
yous is agonna git." said Pone.
"Pone, I's wan's ta talk ta yous some more on this, like
hows I's agonna git names o' places ta send my material,
an' all, but I's agotta git agoin. See yous nex' week."

And that opens up another set of questions, because
what we get now in our foods as nutrients, is about half
of what we got twenty years ago. Sunshine is of course
another source. Another way is by parenteral application
such as an intravenous medication. Many people do
what I call piecemeal application. They go to a health
food store or pharmacy and read the information on the
bottle's label or ask a specialist in the store for this
information. Chances are they will get a bottle for one
condition and another bottle for something else. My
personal belief is quite different. I believe the body is a
lot smarter than I am, and will know what it needs, IF I
give it all the required elements I know it has ever needed.
Chances are that if I offer my body a supplement from a
reputable company who specialized in putting all the
right ingredients into a product where I don't have to
guess, my body will not need anything else. But a
caution is in order. This industry is not regulated and
there are many products, which would never pass
any qualifying standards. So be careful what and
where you buy. One vitamin IS NOT like another
vitamin. They are just like chocolate or pop. Just
because the name is the same, does NOT mean
and will not mean that the ingredients are the same.
I can bake good, wholesome bread, and also poor
quality bread, but I am baking bread. This is crucial
to understand as you expect to receive excellent value f
or your investment, and it is an investment in your
health. So don't scrimp on the quality. As I have said
several times here in this column, the American
Medical Association now recognizes the value of
OPTIMUM nutritional supplementation for healthy
bodies. They suggest complete: not piecemeal
supplementation.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

The two kidnappers were pretty drunk now they had the
money from the church, too. They were still spending
like drunken sailors, and, they were still being watched.
The silent man in the corner expected to hear from the
church anytime today or tomorrow, giving him instructions
to proceed with his task.
The drunks at the bar were oblivious to even the concept
that the church might want them to be permanently
silenced. They drank and talked all night.
Most would not believe them, but a few of their "buddies"
paid a lot of attention to them so long as they were doing
the buying.
It is both typical and pathetic the way man follows those
who have money. It is as if they have no imagination or
creativity, speaking nothing of confidence, to proceed
with projects of their own to their own glory and prosperity.
Too many, when they see money will follow like gulls
over scraps on the beach. They hope some of it will fall
off and then they will grab for it in a squabble with others.
How predictable. How sad.
And so the night wore on. Like the night before the
drunks had to be evicted from the bar, unceremoniously
by being thrown onto the sidewalk.
The following day was much the same. When the bar
opened the two thugs went in and drank themselves into
stupidity once more.
The silent one was still in the corner. This day, however,
he was becoming more and more frustrated. He had not
yet heard from the Bishop. As he was now in need of
money he was becoming anxious.
The kidnappers were boasting more than usual this night.
They were proud the church asked them to do the job, and
their boasting was by now, tiring.
However, the story they told was pretty consistent this day
with the story of yesterday. Some were beginning to
believe it. They seemed to have money alright, that they
would not have gotten any legitimate way. And so the story
began to stick.
On the third day the silent one in the corner had not yet
heard from the Bishop. He rose and spoke up. The entire
bar went silent.
"These two speak the truth. I was supposed to hear from
the Bishop this day. He wanted me to kill these two to shut
them up. The Bishop did not call me. It looks as if I shall not
get the job. So now I will tell you these men did what they
say. They kidnapped four of those kids and delivered them
to the church. I do not know what the church is up to but they
are not beyond killing, murder, thieving, kidnapping to get
their way. And we believe them. The church is misleading
you all, big time. They are not the holy representatives of
God. They are lying, thieving, human beings like a lot of the
rest of us."
That put a dampening effect on things in the bar. However,
it did go a long way to boosting the reputation of the two
kidnappers.
Just as Riata had predicted, the story was out. And, just as
she had predicted, there was a reporter present that night.
He saw an opportunity to get a big story and began to ply
his trade. If he could only supply evidence of what the
church was doing, he would be able to sell his story for a
great deal of money. This was a big opportunity.
He immediately began to interview all people who knew
anything about the kidnapping. He was especially interested
in the corroborating story from the silent man in the corner.
This man had not been drinking, was not drunk, and was a
somewhat reliable witness.
The two drunks were hardly able to speak. They had been
at the bar too long. But this new and serious attention was
getting them very interested. Suddenly others were now
buying them drinks, and asking questions.
This shed a whole new light on the events. The drunks told
of the struggle the kids gave them, of the clandestine
meetings with the Bishop at the back door of the church.
The silent man in the corner told of hiding in the bushes to
see the two kidnappers, in order that he might recognize
them for when the time came for him to do his job.
The reporter couldn't write fast enough. He was asking
questions of the kidnappers and the near assassin. The
more questions he asked the more incredulous he became.
The story was taking on proportions even he had not thought
about.

More planning today folks. It is interesting the little
challenges that arise as one perfects a product. I look
on each challenge as a way to improve.
Some of you are wondering how all this relates to our
original point when we started this column last year,
eleven months ago, actually. The point was to see if
Kevin Bidwell's course could be of any help in getting
me to a point of $5000.00 per month income. Kevin
said yes it would. And now I say yes it will.
You see, I can see where this newsletter project can
carry me. I am presently working with a customer, who,
alone, could take my income to double my target.
The plan is beginning to work and I fully expect it will
bear the kind of fruit I have been expecting.
There will be those of you who say it isn't strictly internet
marketing. I say to you, "Is that right?" As I see it this plan
brings internet marketing right into the average business
and gives them horrendous advantages they never had
before. It think that is both empowering and internet
marketing at its finest.

At a recent COMDEX, Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer
industry with the auto industry and stated: "If GM had kept up
with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be
driving twenty-five dollar cars that got 1000 miles to the
gallon." In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued
a press release stating: If GM had developed technology like
Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following
characteristics:
1. For no reason whatsoever your car would crash twice a day.
2. Every time they repainted the lines on the road you would
have to buy a new car.
3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no
reason, and you would just accept this, restart and drive on.
4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn,
would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in
which case you would have to reinstall the engine.
5. Only one person at a time could use the car, unless you
bought "Car95" or "CarNT." But then you would have to buy more
seats.
6. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun,
reliable, five times as fast, and twice as easy to drive, but
would only run on five per cent of the roads.
7. The oil, water temperature and alternator warning lights
would be replaced by a single "general car default" warning
light.
8. New seats would force everyone to have the same size butt.
9. The airbag system would say "Are you sure?" before going
off.
10. Occasionally for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock
you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously
lifted the door handle, turned the key, and grab hold of the
radio antenna.
11. GM would require all car buyers to also purchase a deluxe
set of Rand McNally road maps (now a GM subsidiary), even
though they neither need them nor want them. Attempting to
delete this option would immediately cause the car's
performance to diminish by 50% or more. Moreover, GM would
become a target for investigation by the Justice Department.
12. Everytime GM introduced a new model car buyers would have
to learn how to drive all over again because none of the
controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.
13. You'd press the "start" button to shut off the engine.
