ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -

Is there any group of Christians that does not celebrate
Christmas?
Jehovah's Witnesses do not. They don't celebrate any
holiday that is not mentioned specifically in the Bible.
The Puritans were not fond of Christmas either. They
even made it a crime to sing Christmas carols, hold
Christmas church services, bake mince pies, or have a
Christmas tree. In fact, Christians did not celebrate
Christmas for at least 200 years after the blessed event.
The Church at one time said that celebrating the birth
of Christ "as if he were a pharaoh" was sinful.
Who is "Bells Nichols"?
According to Pennsylvania Dutch and French tradition,
"Bells Nichols" is Santa Claus' brother. He is said to visit
every home on New Year's Eve and fill empty plates with
cakes and cookies. Guess he's making up for all those
sweets Santa took on Christmas Eve.

STRANGE BITS AND PIECES!
For 47 days in 1961, the painting "Matisse's Le Bateau (The

New York. Apparently none of the over 116,000 visitors seem
to have noticed.

Study: One-Third Likely Voters Online Go To Political Sites
By Gavin OíMalley
Friday, October 29, 2004
A BURST! Media survey released Thursday found that
one-third of likely voters who regularly use the Internet
have explored a politically related site during this
election season.
The company surveyed more than 1,500 likely voters
online; subjects, all over 18 years of age, said they
would "definitely" or "probably" vote on November 2,
according to Chuck Moran, manager of market
research at BURST!
But, despite the voting public's apparent interest in
seeking information online, both parties' Web advertising
was modest. Experts now predict that the total won't
surpass $6 million--mainly in the last month of the race.

Study: Internet-Savvy Business Pros Use Local Search
New Kelsey Group survey data from a representative
panel of BizRate.com users revealed that 74 percent
perform local searches--and that of those who do,
27 percent of their search behavior is for local
information. Seventy-five percent of survey
respondents also said that the local information
they search for had either somewhat or significantly
improved over a year ago. The BizRate.com study
asked 3,887 online consumers questions on a
broad range of shopping and search-related topics.
Respondents were 64 percent female and
36 percent male; seventy-nine percent have used
the Internet for over 5 years, and 72 percent access
the Internet with a high-speed connection. The
average age was 44, and the average income
was $64K.

Do You Have Trouble Staying Awake After A Meal?
This Might Be The Reason...
(Healthy Habits Aren't Convenient . . . They're A Choice.)
PART 3 of 6
Try this method as a natural weight-balancing regime: eat
the protein meal at lunch and the starch meal at dinner. If
you go out to lunch, why not try an "open face"
sandwich...remove half the bread and remove half
the problem! A small salad substituted for the fries, and
another benefit! Many restaurants offer this kind of choice
without any question. I am going to touch very lightly on
the glycemic value of carbohydrates. There are many
books and good web sites available on the subject, but
there are still people who don't recognize the value of
this information. It does serve a great purpose and you
should be aware of this concept. Imagine the ratios for
the proper amount of macronutrients as this on your lunch
plate for your protein meal: 5 grams of carbohydrates
(this translates to 2 soft balls or 2 fists or water based
carbohydrate like fruit or veggies on your plate). 3 grams
of protein (or the size of a deck of cards or your palm on
your plate) 1 gram of fat (or the size of your pinkie finger
of good oil or fat on your plate) When you are having
dinner, then the "deck of cards" would be your starch
based carbohydrate. Please use this as an awareness
indicator ONLY. High glycemic foods tend to spike the
blood sugar levels in your body. Low ones keep it even.
So try to avoid high glycemic ones like white bread, white
pasta or white potatoes and focus on low glycemic ones
like pumpernickel, rye bread, and yams). But if 80% of
your diet is starch, regardless of what kind (high or low
glycemic), then tiredness can be the result . . . as well
as weight gain.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET
<><><><>
THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

"That would be fine Eloise. This is a very
nice place. I can see why you want to live here. I
appreciate you showing us around. This has been
some trip" Evelyn responded.
"Thats fine Eloise. I'm ready. Thank you for
bringing us. I enjoyed that."
"We'll be back in a couple days, David. See
you later" said Eloise.
With that the group said good bye. Eloise and
Mazunta each took a hand of Darryl and Evelyn. The
two of them felt an immediate love surge through
their bodies. They were made well and healthy with
that grasp and, in a flash, were once more in the
Henry household, in the living room.
"That didn't take you guys very long. I was
wondering if you were going to stay for the
evening fire. That would have been nice." Alewka
was sitting on the couch with little AliAnn.
"My goodness. I had no idea we could travel
like that. It is instantaneous. Thats terrific,
scary the first time, but terrific. What a nice
little village. The place is warm, the people are
wonderful and friendly and its in a very nice
setting. I can see why Eloise likes to live
there."
"You bet Evelyn. We go down there as often as
we can, without being the overbearing parents. Did
you meet Mazunta's folks?"
"Yes we did. They are nice people."
Hilda White spoke up, "Were you frightened at
the idea of travelling by higher law? This is your
first real experience with it isn't it?"
"Yes Hilda. When we left I was not aware we
were going so I guess I wasn't afraid of that, but
when we were suddenly someplace else it scared me.
I didn't know how we got there. It was like a
dream. It was impossible for me to think we had
travelled. Then that big cat, Midnight, came up to
us and I didn't know what was going to happen."
There was laughter amongst them. They had all
met Midnight.
"Sam, how do you do that? How is it possible
for people to travel like that? That's unheard of.
Man will not believe that possible."
"Darryl, I think you are asking me with the
inquisitive mind of a reporter, not really wanting
the details, but an overview. Man has continually
overlooked the obvious with regard to spiritual
law. He trips over the simplicity of it to the
point where he is absolutely certain this cannot
be done. In doing so he is preventing himself from
doing it. I well see in all mankind the 'I'm from
Missouri' attitude. Men all say 'show me and then
I'll believe', yet, like you having been shown you
still don't believe. The law is Darryl, 'As ye
sow, so shall ye reap'. When you know your Maker
has set up these rules and that once you learn
them you can do these things, then it is possible.
It is just that simple. Try to make anything more
of it and you lose. What you think and believe,
without doubt, shall come to pass. It is nothing
more than that."
"But Sam, we travelled over 2000 miles, the
whole group of us and in an instant!"
"Darryl, you didn't hear me when I answered
you. You are continuing to argue your own
ignorance. I just told you that whatever you
think, believing, shall come to pass. If you heard
that then you will no longer question. It is that
simple. Believe it."
"Sam, I want to believe that, but it can't be.
There must be more to it than that. I can see
myself in that village now. I can believe it and
I'm not there."
"That's right, Darryl, because you think you
believe it. You are using your conscious mind and
imagination like it were a toy. Yet underneath you
have this doubt that says it cannot be done. The
doubt has been there far longer than your present
thought and it is deeply seated in emotion. You
KNOW it can't be done. So a simple little
experiment like 'seeing yourself in that village'
will not produce the results you think. You must
learn the laws of your Maker first. You must meet
your Maker first. You must go inside yourself and
come to that point where you see, know, hear and
understand your Maker. At that point you can do
any of these things you see us do."
"But Sam, that could take forever."
"If you say so, Darryl. That is the choice of
every person. They can do with it what they wish.
If you want it to take forever then so be it."
"You aren't being very cooperative here Sam."
"Darryl, the words that proceed out of your
mouth shall come to pass. The more you argue for
mankind not being able to do this, so long shall
mankind not be able to do it. The choice is yours.
You can either decide to do it or you can argue
against it. It has nothing to do with me being
cooperative. The law says that 'As ye sow, so
shall ye reap.' I have no control over that,
Darryl, I merely learned how to use it. You can
too, It is your choice. But first you have to stop
arguing for your position and begin to argue for
the opposite stand."

TODAY'S REPORT:
Another week and more things to do. This week I'm planning
my database situation. I have databases coming to me that
include all the newspapers published in the U.S. plus all the
magazines and all the radio stations. I plan to reach these
folk to talk about my book, The Saga Of Pinehill. It is my
hope I can work this all into a marketing strategy.

HA! HA! HA!
A grandfather was walking past his young granddaughter's
room one night when he saw her kneeling beside her bed,
with head bowed and hands folded, repeating the alphabet.
"What are you doing?" he asked her.
She explained, "I'm saying my prayers, but I couldn't think
of just what I wanted to say. So I'm just saying all the letters
of the alphabet, and God can put them together however
he thinks best."
