TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -
-----------------------
What was Martin Luther King Jr.'s name when he was born?
Why exactly is a bruise?
--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
When was a holiday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
first proposed?
On April 8, 1968, just four days after Martin Luther King Jr.
was assassinated, a holiday to commemorate his birthday
was proposed by Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich.
How long before the holiday was made official by the
Federal government?
It's not an easy thing to get a holiday, much less a Federal
holiday! It took nearly two decades to make Martin Luther King Jr.'s
birthday an official holiday. January 20, 1986 was the first
federal observance of the holiday, though some states began
to observe it earlier. California was the first to do so, making it
a school holiday in 1970.

Reclaiming Your Power.
A Powerful De-Stressor!
PART 2 of 5
When I see this "usual" behavior with friends and family,
I may gently ask "why do you give that person so much
power over you?" Many times they don't realise that they
have allowed it, but they did! Think of it as a headline
"Heart Attack Caused By Stranger" or "Fatality At Checkout
Counter" or Multiple Car Crash Caused By Driver 10 Miles
Down The Road" or "Child's Spilled Milk Causes
Mother/Dad's Stroke". These are silly headlines, but the
idea is very real and this is a daily occurrence. It's a matter
of letting someone else have control over your life and in
most cases it's a total stranger who you will never see
again! You wouldnt allow them to choose your clothes or
hairdo for you. Why would you then allow someone to
choose your attitude? Do this enough times, and you will
be dealing with some sort of health condition, and a serious
one. So as you sit quietly and reflect on each situation, try
not to let the emotion of that moment, recur. The danger is
gone, so don't be affected by it physically again. But use
this time to prepare for the next time, as it will surely come
again. To make these changes, draw on your own past
experience or someone else's. You obviously survived... do
you recall how you handled it? What would you change?
Another really good way to prepare yourself is to put yourself
into someone else's place. How would they react or handle
the same situation? If it's about driving, interview a driver
for executives. If it's about kids, find yourself a couple of
good parenting sites on the Internet with qualified leaders
and pose the questions. Use common sense doing this.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET
<><><><>
THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

On the Serengeti plains in Africa Hemno was
just waking from an excellent sleep. He had been
contemplating the joys of living by higher law
late into the night. His heart was full, happy and
immensely confident this day. He knew he could
handle anything.
One of the reasons Hemno felt confident is
that he finally felt he had control of his sexual
urges. He had a better understanding of what was
happening to him and having crossed the veil into
higher law he now had control of his urges. That
caused him no end of happiness for it meant he
would no longer be embarrassed by his bodily
functions acting outside his control.
Hemno had been out on the plains now for a
good seven months. He knew he need not stay out
that long, having learned higher law, but he did
not want to go home too early for fear he would
not be believed. Additionally it was this sex
thing he had to control before he had any desire
to go back home. Now he was ready.
For the last six months Hemno had been living
by higher law alone. He did not hunt game nor seek
water. He was able to manifest all he needed. The
first month had been a rough one. He had nearly
lost his life during that first month because he
was doing things the way man does things. Now he
was a Master and no longer thought as the young
boy he was.
He thought of Sonora and sent her his
thoughts, "I think I will begin my journey home
now. I think I have mastered myself and have a
good grasp on higher law. Do you think I've been
out here long enough?"
The answer came back almost instantly. "Yes,
we'll all be glad to see you. How long do you
think you will be?"
"I think I'm about 18 days out by walking, and
I think I'd like to walk. I love this land, the
animals and the rhythm of the land. I'll see you
in a couple weeks."
With that Hemno stood, stretched and was on
his way. He still had his staff and his cup. That
was all he took with him.
On his way he decided to go down onto the
plain and walk amongst the animals. He liked being
amongst them now that he was able to broadcast
love toward them all. Doing so caused the animals
to remain calm, even calm enough that he could
walk up to any one of them and pet them, which he
did often.
The day was going to be a hot one, cloudless
and with the sun shining from high in the sky,
directly down. The day would likely top out at 130
degrees, maybe more.
Walking along he spotted a pride of lions
lying down in the shade of a tree. They all had
their tongues hanging out, panting. That was one
of the ways they attempted to keep cool in this
intense heat.
Hemno was in fear of no animal. Even the
ferocious lion or the hyenas, even cheetahs,
none were dangerous to him. Broadcasting love unto
all he met told the animal it had nothing to fear
from him, indeed they welcomed him.
So happiness, joy, singing, humming were
things that this day lightened his step and put a
spring in it. He covered ground at an amazing pace
without even realizing it..
It took Hemno 15 days to get back to the place
where he fell and broke his leg. It was in this
place where he finally stopped and committed
himself to do the bidding of his Maker. That was
the moment of change for him. With a broken leg,
although he had proved to himself he could hunt
and eat, he also realized the futility of doing
things man's way. He well knew the advantages of
living by higher law. However, up to that moment
he had been taking those advantages like a leach,
from the goodwill of Sonora, Kenyata and Mombudo.
Being out on the plains, alone, he had decisions
to make himself. He was very thankful he made his
stand.
He was on his way home triumphant. He well
knew that the village expected him to return as
most lads do when they go through this ritual.
However he also knew none in the village would
expect him to have learned higher law, only his
own immediate family.
Sonora had taught him early in his youth that
one does not flaunt higher law. It is to be used
only to aid mankind when called upon to do so. It
was not to give things to the villagers in an
attempt to impress them. These things he
understood. Living on the plains, alone, he had
much time to think and had come to an
understanding of why he must not "toy" with higher
law for the sake of popularity. He knew that all
men would become takers in the presence of any
abundance offered.
On the 21st day Hemno walked up the long hill
toward the small hut at the top.

Robert goes golfing every Saturday. One Saturday, he
comes home three hours late. His wife asks him, "What
took you so long?"
The guy says, "That was the worst game of golf I've
ever had. We got up to the first tee, and Charlie hit a
hole-in-one and immediately dropped dead of
a heart attack."
The guy's wife says, "That's terrible!"
The guy says, "I know. Then, for the rest of the game,
it was hit the ball, drag Charlie, hit the ball, drag Charlie,
hit the ball, drag Charlie..."
