TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -

What about the second most published playwright?
How many words is Shakespeare responsible for coining?
--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
What does the K in "K rations" stand for?
No one knows for sure, but it probably stands for the "K" in
Ansel Keys, the name of the inventor. Keys, a physiologist,
developed the portions of food for World War II soldiers.
Who is the most published playwright?
This one's easy. It's Shakespeare, of course.

As You Get Older
You Go Faster!
You hear everyone say it, "The older I get, the faster time
flies."
I have no idea what the phenomenon is but it is really true.
When you get older the days fly past so fast you wonder what
happened. Now don't get to thinking it is because you slow
down.
I think folks get much more done when they are older than
when they are young. They are now more organized. They are
now well practiced at prioritizing. They are skilled at time
usage.
So, I think the older you become the more you do. If that is
true then we are all blessed, for we gain so much from doing
so much - but the days go fast.
I have just came through one of those kinds of weeks. I like
it, yet, at the end of the week I wondered where it went.
One thing is clear, even though a "senior" I sure don't feel
it. I feel more alive, purposeful, happy, busy and needed
now than ever before. I love it.
You, too, should be that way, if you are a senior, and if
you are not a senior you have a good deal of great times to
which you are headed.
Rejoice. If you are busy with purposeful activities you are
most fortunate. If you are not so, then get busy, but not
with silly stuff, useless stuff. Get busy doing things that
count for something.
Start an internet business. Help out volunteering. Serve
some purpose other than your own.
Take the grandkids somewhere where they haven't been, and
keep trying to figure out those kind of places to take them.
So what if life goes faster. The more full your life is the
more rich it is.
Think about these thoughts, put them to work. Make your
future one that you yearn for because you know it will be
thrilling.

MEDICAL COLUMN - - - -

To Be Vaccinated Or Not To Be Vaccinated
Do Some Serious Deliberation Before
You Offer Your Arm
PART 5 of 15
I have been involved with the "flu season" for several years
now. And the arguments on both sides of the issues seem
valid. If you don't get immunized and your health is not in
good shape, you could get the flu and be off for several
weeks
If you take the vaccination, you have another chemical in
your body. And we know our immune systems are already
overworked. So why add to its workload? Another argument
could be that you are only vaccinated against three strains
of the influenza virus. By some misfortune, you could be
exposed to a strain for which you aren't immunized, and you
still get a flu-like illness.
Here's what its like to have the flu. You can get fever,
chills, a headache, generalized muscle aches, lose your
appetite, and have non-productive cough (no loose sputum to
be coughed up.). These symptoms usually last for 5-10 days.
For many of us in the health care field, it's not an issue.
No flu shot: no work. Simple! But for many others, this is a
choice you don't want to make lightly. Most of us don't live
or work in such "high risk" facilities, so why might you
want to protect yourself? The decision should be based on
your own health, your family situation, and your work or
school. I come across many "new caregivers" who have been
told they cannot be allowed to look after their own loved
ones if they aren't immunized. Harsh words for many. I found
these statistics about a seniors' (long term care) facility.
out of 100 patients, 60 will get the flu, and 30 will die.
Why such a high death rate? Mainly because these residents
have really poor or unhealthy immune systems. They function
so poorly. Plus there is the added factor that there are so
many people in such close proximity. If your health is
compromised, and the virus gets a foothold in such a place,
it has many potential victims.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.
The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.
It will change your life. Go to

There was no need for lanterns here. All present were
able to manifest light as they needed it, so the stairway
was easily negotiated.
Upon arriving at the second level they were met by two
more men. Each was a member of the Temple of the White
Brotherhood. One was dark skinned and one was Chinese. Each
held out their hands to greet the guests.
Sam recognized these men immediately. Although he had
never seen them before there was an instant bonding because
of the Brotherhood association. There were no words spoken
between them. None needed to be spoken. Each knew the other
and each, through thought greeted each other.
For those other than Sam there were handshakes. "Come,
follow us."
The men lead the group through some rooms, none of which
held any furniture. The idea here was that if you needed or
wanted furniture you could manifest your own and then send
it back to the ethers when you were finished with it.
On one side of the present room, Sam could see some
light. Behind a huge stone wall, was another wall in which
there had been a hole cut. The hole was a window to let in
both light and air. It was cut to irregular proportions to
look from the outside as if it were no more than a crack in
the rock. The reason for the rock on the inside was to give
strength to that illusion. Sam stood at the hole and looked
out over the world they had just traversed.
Next, they were lead to yet another room, this time a
very large room and again, at a completely inconspicuous
place there was another stairway, just as well hidden as the
first.
The ascended the stairway and at the top were met by a
considerable group of people, men and women, all living by
higher law.
This is the level where Mae and Susan were given lunch
and shown to a room in which they could sleep. The stairway
opened up into a large room and off it were several smaller
rooms, but for one. As they approached that one they saw it
was a very large room lined with tables. There were men
seated already as if in expectation of a meal.
Sien explained these, already seated, had just returned
from a three day, non-stop vigil, over a trouble spot that
was requiring more attention than it should.
"Come, we will eat." Sien led the way to the head table
at which there were just enough seats for the guests plus
himself. Sien took centre and the others broke into
appropriate couples on either side of him.
He motioned with his hands for all to sit. The room now
filled up and not one seat was empty. In all there were more
than 150 persons.
Sien rose. "From time to time we are privileged to have
with us guests who have done well in the work. That is to
say they have exceeded in the work. The people you see
seated at the head table this day are members of the Sam
Henry family from Pinehill, Pennsylvania, in the United
States. Many of you know Sam for you were watching over him
until he lived by higher law. Allow me to introduce you to
them. Sam is sitting on my immediate left. Next to him is
his wife of many years, Alewka. Next to her is their
daughter, Eloise. It was my job to aid Eloise in her infant
years in the law.
Sitting next to Eloise is her husband Mazunta, whom you
all know, has been learning higher law over many lifetimes
and if it were not for the beautiful young lady sitting
beside him he may still be trying. Mazunta fell in love with
Eloise shortly after she had learned higher law. He knew he
didn't have a chance to marry her unless he could become her
equal, intellectually. He worked hard until he came to
realize higher law. The rest is history. They married and
have two charming children who themselves have recently
graduated to be children of their Maker.
On my right is the Henry's oldest son, Tim and next to
him is his wife of just one year, Sharon. In this case it
was Sharon who fell in love with Tim and wanted to be with
him. She saw it an impossible task unless she, too, learned
higher law. The road for Sharon was not an easy one. She had
no example in front of her but Tim, and her family did not
support her efforts. It took a great deal of courage for
Sharon to stand up and declare her intended direction and to
take the action subsequently necessary for her to realize
that direction. She succeeded and eventually married Tim.
Sharon is with child and will give birth in about six
months. Many of you know already who has chosen to live in
the body of the child she bears. She is a blessed woman.
Next is Tom, the youngest son and the youngest of the
three Henry children. Tom met Tlang, the young lady beside
him, at Tim and Sharon's wedding. These two fell in love and
i suspect it will not be long before they, too, will wed.
It was my wonderful pleasure to preside over the
ceremonies of both the Henry weddings, and it is a
particular pleasure for me to welcome them to our table.
You all know Sam is a man of particular courage, that is
why he carries the mark of the Brotherhood. There are others
in this family who shall likewise bear that mark.
Let us welcome this fine family into our midst."
With that there was a roar of clapping that reverberated
off the rock walls of the room. The love that filled this
place was nearly palatable. It was intense.
Tlang, the youngest in the law, was nearly overwhelmed
by the little history bite, the welcome, and the amazing
love she was absorbing from all in the room.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?
Half-Cocked: Where doe the expression "go off half cocked"
come from?
From hunting. A gun at half cock is in the safety position;
it cannot be fired. But a hunter many, in his excitement at
sighting game, raise the gun to his shoulder and pull the
trigger while still "half-cocked." Nothing happens. And so,
"To go off half-cocked" means to attempt something in a
hurry without proper preparation and to fail in achieving
the end.

THINK ABOUT THIS TODAY!
"Some men have thousands of reasons why they cannot do
what they want to, when all they need is one reason why
they can."
---- Mary Frances Berry
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
HA! HA! HA!
There was an Irishman, a New Zealand man and an American man
standing on the roof of a building, with an awning below
them.
The American said to the Irishman: "I bet I could jump off
this roof, land on the awning and bounce back off." So he
jumped off, hit the awning, and was soon back on the roof.
"There. Now you try." he said to the Irishman.
So the Irishman jumped off, and fell SPLAT on the ground.
The New Zealander said to the American : "Jeez, Superman,
you are a real jerk sometimes!"
