ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -

Did Shakespeare really write all the plays credited to him?
There is controversy on this matter. Some scholars suggest
that William Shakespeare, whose name appears on the top of
all the plays performed at his theater in Stratford,
England, didn't actually author them all, or perhaps none at
all. Some suggest he stole the plays or that someone else,
who was not credited, actually wrote them. None of these
theories, or the evidence presented, has been firm enough to
say definitively that Shakespeare did not write the plays we
have long attributed to him.
What is the Apocrypha?
The Old Testament Apocrypha are a collection of 14 Biblical
books found in the Greek version of the Hebrew Bible, but
not found in the Hebrew Bible itself. These books are not
included in the Old Testament by Protestants, who deem them
of doubtful authorship. Eleven of these books are accepted
by the Roman Catholic Church. There are also New Testament
Apocrypha, consisting of Christian documents similar in form
and content to many New Testament books, but not widely
accepted as canonical.

CSTV Podcasts Sports Via iTunes
by Gavin O'Malley
THE COLLEGE SPORTS NETWORK CSTV--WHICH CBS just
agreed to acquire for $325 million--on Thursday said it
reached an agreement with Apple Inc. to distribute various
podcast programs via iTunes. One show, "Hurricane Hotline,"
includes segments with Miami football head coach Larry
Coker. Another, "On the Sidelines with Mike Leach," features
the Texas Tech football coach sounding-off.
Brian Bedol, CSTV's co-founder and CEO, said CSTV had begun
talks with Apple without CBS's involvement.
While the podcasts are not currently ad-supported, Bedol
said "significant sponsorship interest" exists. "No one's
going to buy space on a CPM basis right now, but there is
significant interest to sponsor these shows." CSTV's
advertisers include, among others, 20th Century, Energizer,
Nissan, and Microsoft's Xbox.
Bedol also said CSTV is certainly interested in "at least
testing" video content via iTunes.
Soon after Apple's video iPod debuted last month, CBS began
distributing its free podcasts including "60 Minutes" on
Apple's iTunes Music Store.
Earlier this month, CBS Digital President Larry Kramer told
OnlineMediaDaily he has had talks with Apple about
distributing CBS video on iTunes.
CBS and CSTV have worked together since 2004, when CSTV
launched March Madness on Demand, allowing hoops fans to
watch live CBS Sports NCAA Tournament broadcasts streaming
live through an agreement with CBS SportsLine.com.
CBS said the deal to acquire CSTV is likely to close by
early 2006, after parent company Viacom completes its
planned split into two companies. Bedol will continue to run
CSTV as a separate entity, and will report directly to
Leslie Moonves, chairman of CBS and co-president and
co-chief operating officer of Viacom.
The acquisition includes a digital cable network featuring
30 men's and women's college sports events, which Bedol
expects will have nearly 15 million subscribers by year-end.
Online, CSTV offers over 250 official college athletic Web
sites.
CSTV.com was the ninth most-trafficked sports Web site in
October with a unique audience of 5.84 million, according to
Nielsen//NetRatings. ESPN led that month with over 15
million, followed by Yahoo! Sports with over 12.5 million,
and Fox Sports on MSN with just over 12.2 million uniques.

To Be Vaccinated Or Not To Be Vaccinated
Do Some Serious Deliberation Before
You Offer Your Arm
PART 9 of 15
Who should NOT get vaccinated? When you sign the consent
form to be vaccinated, it will have a series of questions.
PLEASE read them carefully and take them seriously! Anyone
who is allergic to eggs or eggs products shouldnt have this
shot. The vaccine is made with the fluids of chicken embryos
that have been infected with the current year's virus. And a
preservative, Thimerosal, which is usually found in contact
lens solution, is another possible problem. So if you are
allergic to this solution, then you shouldn't take the
vaccine. If you suspect an allergy to formalin or
formaldehyde, dont take the shot. Some products may contain
formaldehyde as a preservative. Another possible reason not
to be vaccinated will be an allergy to Neomycin. Neomycin is
used to reduce the likelihood of bacterial contamination,
which is always a possibility.
So the allergy would be to the individual components of the
vaccine: not the virus itself. If you have had a severe
allergic reaction or anaphylaxis to a previous dose of a
virus, don't be vaccinated. Anaphylaxis is a very "severe
hyper-sensitivity reaction to a previously encountered
antigen" (intruder/foreign matter). This would create an
emergency situation. This is the reason you are asked to
stay at the clinic site for twenty minutes after the
injection. This condition, should it occur, will most likely
happen during that time.
Some people have what we call a "vasovagal" reaction. This
happens to people who are sensitive to needles or are often
anxious. It appears quite closely on the heels of the
injection. Lying down and resting will be best treatment.
This is not a life-threatening situation. For a few years, I
ended up with a gentleman whose doctor insisted I give him
flu shots with the rest of his co-workers as it was much
more convenient. We KNEW he would always faint. So after the
second year, I gave him the injection while he was already
on the floor! I don't encourage that, but it served this
purpose. When you are in some unusual situations, you have
to rise to the occasion! (Or lower yourself as may be the
case!)
I have already mentioned the consent forms. Read and
understand the RISKS of the flu immunization. We need this
information for our records. We are doing an invasive
procedure to your body, so your consent is needed. Otherwise
we don't do the injection. It will ask for your name,
address, birthdate, and phone number. And then it asks some
very specific questions as to your present state of health.
(You shouldn't be immunized if you are already ill as this
puts a further strain on the immune system.)

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

While some in the group found it odd that Sien was
requiring they meditate, they accepted the idea. They each
knew, deep in their hearts, that meditation here was a
special thing. It was a privilege and they actually wanted
to partake. Little did they know they were in for a new
experience.
They returned once more to the fourth level and Sien
showed them each a room. When they entered they swung the
small flag out so it was visible up and down the hallway.
Tlang was given the first room. She entered and caused
light to be sufficient to see. She settled herself down
campfire style in the centre of the room. Once settled
she caused all light to disappear and she was in darkness.
She could hardly believe the quiet, the stillness, the
darkness. Nothing could be heard. She was alone unlike she
ever felt anytime in her life before. For a short while it
was frightening, then she remembered who she was. She knew
she could have light anytime she wanted. She knew she could
get up and leave anytime she wanted. She knew she could
travel anywhere, anytime she wanted.
She settled back into her meditations. With her mind and
heart having been cleansed of all negative the night before,
and with her heart being of a loving nature, she immediately
went deep. There she communed with her Maker. They did not
speak as humans speak. They did not "talk" in the mind as
humans are prone. She corresponded with thought. She had
learned to have a thought on a subject without putting words
to it. It was in this language they communed.
Tlang would have a thought about a thing of condition
and the immediate response would be either a yes or a no, or
sometimes an alternative was offered. She would then look at
and think about the new condition offered by the alternative
and look for approval, which would be forthcoming in her
knowing it was right or wrong.
This was breaking into the most productive meditation Tlang
had for a very long time. She could see how her relationship
with Tom was interfering with her relationship with her
Maker. She promised to do something about that. She could
see, too, that her Maker approved of the relationship.
To Tlang this was a most sought after approval, yet she
also saw how, when she thought of Tom, she was taken off
track, that her meditations took a while to come back to
where she was. She resolved to correct that. Even now her
sexual feelings were beginning to cause her trouble. She put
an end to them.
Suddenly Tlang was taken to a place of brilliant light .
It was so bright she wondered how she could see. There she
saw herself doing things in the future, under the auspices
of the White Brotherhood. Then she saw Tom, Tim, Sharon,
Eloise, Mazunta, Mr. and Mrs Henry. All were present in the
light. All were shown a future with the White Brotherhood.
Tlang knew this was a special moment. She knew she was
being given an appointment, and a lifelong task. Then it was
over as quickly as it had begun.
After about an hour of close meditation, Tlang knew
it was over. She stirred, rose and walked to the door way,
through the maze and out into the hallway. There was Tom,
waiting for her. He had just come out of his meditation room
as well.
"That was some meditation. We have been given work to do
my dear."
"Yes, Tom, I know." Tlang responded softly as she took
Tom's arm and hugged it. "There are many things happening
fast. You don't look like the man who went into a meditation
room. Somehow you have matured more."
"I notice the same of you. Your countenance has a light
shining from all over. The light stands out from your body
about a foot. You are beautiful."
"Tom, I feel as if every thing that has happened to me
in my short life has all been for this time. I started out
in the middle of corruption. I was being used and abused.
Yet somehow that taught me things and made me strong. Now it
is coming to me I must use that knowledge for the good of
man. I don't yet have a job given to me but one is
forthcoming, that much I know. I know you and I are to be
together and that I have been asked to join the White
Brotherhood. I know you have been asked too, for I saw you
there. All this was done that we may understand your Father.
It is another progression in higher law."
"Me, too, Tlang. These things I know. I am so filled
with love and fullness thereof I could not be more
complete."
"Maybe we should go join the others."
"Good idea."
Together they walked to the end of the hallway and there
found the huge door that swung open at Tom's push. They
entered and then closed the door, then walked down the
stairs.
Upon reaching the bottom, they again pushed open the
door and walked out into the large room that served as a
mustering room before supper.
Tom closed the rock doorway, ensuring it was perfectly
shut, then the pair walked to the room where they had eaten
meals.
When they entered the eating room they soon saw they
were the last to come from their meditations. They joined
the others. All of them had changed. All were giving off a
brilliant aura that stood as far as a foot out from their
bodies.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?
In the Same Boat: How die "all in the same boat" come to
mean equality of opportunity - or lack of it?
The allusion is to a shipwreck. When a ship is wrecked and
has to be abandoned, all distinction of class must be
abandoned as well. Each man must accept and share the common
fate - they're "all in the same boat."

although there was ample room in the back. Then the bus
driver took over.
"Excuse me, Ladies and Gentlemen," he shouted. "Will all the
beautiful, smart people please move to the back of the bus,
and all the ugly stupid people stay up front?"
