How many books has Isaac Asimov written?
Is it true that Charles Dickens once lived a life similar to

ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -

Why do we say we "make the bed" when we fix the covers on
it?
We say "make the bed" because at one time we really DID have
to "make" it. Up until the fifteenth century, people
literally constructed their beds each night by placing straw
into a cloth bag. The bed had to be emptied and then
reconstructed each day in order for the straw to remain dry.
Was Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond novels, ever a
secret agent himself?
Yes. Ian Fleming was Britain's director of Naval
Intelligence during World War II. Later in the war, he was
put in charge of an assault unit that became known as
"Fleming's Private Navy." They say "write what you know,"
and Ian Fleming apparently has.

Here's To Think On ...
with Ken Darby
------------------------------------
Tell It Like It Is!
A man takes the day off work and decides to go out golfing.
He is on the second hole when he notices a frog sitting next
to the green.
He thinks nothing of it and is about to shoot when he hears,
"Ribbit. 9 Iron"
The man looks around and doesn't see anyone.
"Ribbit. 9 Iron."
He looks at the frog and decides to prove the frog wrong,
puts his other club away, and grabs a 9 iron.
Boom! He hits it 10 inches from the cup. He is shocked. He
says to the frog, "Wow that's amazing. You must be a lucky
frog, eh?"
The frog reply's "Ribbit. Lucky frog."
The man decides to take the frog with him to the next hole.
"What do you think frog?" the man asks.
"Ribbit. 3 wood."
The guy takes out a 3 wood and Boom ! Hole in one. The man
is befuddled and doesn't know what to say. By the end of
the day, the man golfed the best game of golf in his life
and asks the frog, "OK where to next?"
The frog reply, "Ribbit. Las Vegas."
So, they go to "Las Vegas and the guy says, "OK frog, now
what?"
The frog says, "Ribbit Roulette."
Upon approaching the roulette table, the man asks, " What do
you think I should bet?"
The frog replies, "Ribbit. $3000, black 6."
Now, this is a million to one shot to win, but after the
golf game, the man figures what the heck. Boom! Tons of
cash comes sliding back across the table.
The man takes his winnings and buys the best room in the
hotel. He sits the frog down and says, "Frog, I don't know
how to repay you. You've won me all this money and I am
forever grateful."
The frog replies, "Ribbit, Kiss Me."
He figures why not, since after all the frog did for him, he
deserves it. With a kiss, the frog turns into a gorgeous 15
year old girl.
"And that, your honor, is how the girl ended up in my room."
I think it was Churchill who was credited with the saying
"You can fool some of the people all the time, all the
people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people
all the time.
I don't know how many judges would buy this man's story, and
neither do I know if folks buy your story.
It is always a good idea to shoot straight, and give folks
the real goods.
While I know you know that, I also know it is so easy to be
tempted. My experience is that one little slip has a
tendency to bring in rewards you don't want.
Pay attention to the the details, the little things, and
ensure they are correct, right in line with your policies,
and can stand the test of truth.
Doing business on the internet is a long process. It takes a
great deal of time to have customers want to deal with you
on a long term basis. Customers become friends just like
they would if you were in a brick and mortar store. Treat
them that way and they will be back.
When you walk into the brick and mortar store, are treated
with untruths and shown they only want your money, not a
long term relationship with you, what do you do? The chances
are you walk out without any purchases.
What you say, and what you do on the web and through email
is the same.

The Inflammatory Process
A Special Gift From Nature To You
PART 6 of 12
Here is an example of the inflammatory process occurring in
a confined space. The inner ear is one place where there is
very little room for fluid expansion. So anything in the way
of extra fluid creation, has to find room to spread out, but
where? Obviously, it will have to press down on the soft
tissue in the area. Bone cant be compressed. The soft
tissue in that area includes the balance (vestibular) nerve
and the hearing (acoustic) nerve. So if there is unusual
amount of pressure, it follows that signals to and from the
nerve(s) would or could be distorted and incorrect.
For many people with this kind of error, the resulting
symptoms would naturally have to do with balance: vertigo or
dizziness, hearing: fluctuations and noises (tinnitus). That
is what these nerves are related to. Does it not also then
follow if the resulting pressure is relieved in some way,
the symptoms would go away?
If all is well, and your body is healthy, this swelling will
subside, with few long-term affects. Remember that no part
of your body is exempt from this process. As already stated,
this is automatic and consistent. It happens in your brain
and in your toe, and anywhere in between. You have no
control over its start or its completion.
However there are drugs than can influence the inflammatory
process not to work as effectively as nature has meant it to
do. These chemicals (drugs) are used when you want to get
rid of the natural results from the exposure of the
irritant: from the inflammatory processs natural healing
function. For instance, I know with Menieres sufferers, the
normal treatment is to try and reduce the pressure in the
ear, by inserting tubes to act as conduits. But from what
you have already read here, you know that this produces its
own irritation and most likely will result in more
inflammatory process at work. Often drugs are instilled to
reduce this (natural) pressure, and may be creating more
irritation. Also drugs such as very strong antibiotics are
injected to reduce the effectiveness of the IP. That term is
called ototoxic. And it means something is supposed to be
harmful to the ear.

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.
The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure

As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .
----------------
That was the very first orphan Miguele picked up. This
little guy was the first of many that came to Miguele's and
Abetta's house through the following years. The couple
didn't look upon it as paying back for the bounty they
received. They just plain and simply couldn't stand to see
kids go hungry and did what they could to help. It never
even occurred to them they should be thanked for doing such
a task. To them it was the only and natural thing to do.
Then, one day, Missy came back.
The day that happened was another highly significant day
for Miguele and his family. The girls were well into their
high teens, quite capable of living on their own if that was
the way it had to be. Missy asked if she could take the
girls with her for a couple days, that they would be safe
and that the trip would be good for the girls.
Miguele and Abetta looked at one another, not knowing
exactly what Eloise had in mind. Yet they knew this was a
time to trust. This lady, after all, was the one responsible
for the years of prosperity the family enjoyed. The pair of
them agreed to Eloise's request.
That night it seemed kind of lonely without the girls
there to help with the kids. By now there were near a dozen
around, but the absence of the two oldest ones was noticed
by all. The next day, too, seemed to be directionless
without the two girls, and so was the next evening.
Miguele and Abetta were beginning to wonder what had
happened to the girls when suddenly they appeared in the
living room.
Oomano and Riata were completely excited about their
journey and they were talking about something called higher
law.
Miguele and Abetta were still trying to get over the
fact they just suddenly appeared. They didn't come in
through the door, they made no noise, they were just
suddenly there.
Upon inquiry it was suggested they all sit down at the
table and talk about it. It was that night Miguele learned
about higher law and the power it gave to those who
practiced. He was told of the great law "As ye sow, so
shall ye reap", and he was shown how his girls could
manifest the things they needed.
All this was a very hard pill for Miguele and Abetta to
swallow. It explained how Missy knew their names, where they
lived, and the "special truck". He understood how all that
could come about, but he could not believe the ability to do
this was available to everyone, even himself.
That his girls could now do all the things they had seen
Missy Eloise do, was something that went far beyond his
comprehension. Indeed he was beginning to look upon it as a
threat, an invasion of his family, an invasion of privacy.
Then the thoughts hit him. "Miguele, this is about your
Maker. The girls made a decision they wanted to live the
life their Maker wants for everyone, and I showed them how.
It is especially easy for those who love mankind as they do.
Think not this to be evil. It is of your Maker and mine.
That they will do the work of their Maker is an honor and a
privilege. It is not what you will be told in church. It
will be frowned upon there. Yet it is what Jesus said to
do."
Miguele looked at Eloise, without saying anything. He
looked long and hard to see if these thoughts were really
sent unto him by Eloise and that they were true. "Yes,
Miguele, I sent them unto you. Yes they are true", were the
thoughts he received again. Missy nodded her head.
As a parent, what, now, was he going to do with this new
condition? He loved his girls so purely and deeply he only
wanted the best for them. Yet he knew not of this new life.
He finally decided he would wait and see.
Over the next coming days, weeks, months, the family
learned that what the girls did was alright, that it aided
the family and that they spread love not only throughout the
family but wherever they went. It was the same kind of love
the family had felt early on when Eloise had first made
contact with them.
The years passed. Riata had moved out of the house
because she found a whole bunch of street kids, downtown,
that were starving, robbing, stealing and doing anything to
survive. In addition to the street kids, she found an old
vacant lot. It was completely unsightly, being filled with
trash that passers by would dump in there. Over the years it
not only grew to be an unsightly mess, but was a breeding
place for disease. Here this lot was right in the middle of
a business district and neither the city nor the nearby
merchants did anything about it.
Riata simply moved in. It was subtle and effective. She
happened to be speaking with a group of street kids. She was
one who could. She never passed judgment on them. She never
told them what to do and all she really did was broadcast
love unto them. She knew they needed direction and
leadership.
While speaking with these kids on the street one day she
casually began walking toward the garbage dump in the middle
of this business district. Once there, she waved her hands
at the entire lot and in that instant it became clean and
clear of any and all garbage. Then she waved her arms again
and in that instant there was a roof over a large part of
the land, supported by tall wooden posts. It was strong
enough to withstand any storm.
"Why don't we stay here and learn to live as part of
this community?"
