thePEBBLE - 11/30/05 - Would You Rather Be Wealthy?
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
A typical, obviously American, community. Two young people
given an opportunity for an a adventure with an attainable
financial reward. Their adventure into the inkonwn, not
restrained by dogmatic rules or community restraints, leads
them to resources that change no only the two adventurers'
attitudes, but attitudes of others.
The reader will either come away with a a feeling of
wonderment or question the writer's declared source, his
Maker, for the content.
I was not envious of the characters' adventures but enjoyed
the book as it refreshed the wonderment I had as a youth and
now as a practical adult, to "think outside the box" about
powers that are within us.
Jerry Harlton
Jerry Harlton was an executive assistant to the Right
Honourable Joe Clark, the former Prime Minister of Canada
It took me back to my youth and now inspires me to "think
outside the box".

ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
According to legend, how is time different in the fairy
realm?
The two worlds, fairy and human, exist side by side, but
time can run completely differently in the fairy realm.
Generally, a few days or even a few hours spent in the fairy
realm, can be equivalent to months or years or whole
generations in the human one. In fairy stories, humans who
are enticed into the fairy world often find that after one
evening of merriment there, they return to villages that are
completely different -- where loved ones have died or grown
old. Like Rip Van Winkle, they come back to their homes as
strangers.
Who are the Hottentots?
According to Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, a
Hottentot is a member of any of a group of Khoisan-speaking
pastoral peoples of southern Africa. The name is actually
Dutch, thanks to the fact that these groups were displaced
by Dutch settlers (their descendants live primarily in
western South Africa and in Namibia). Towards the end of the
nineteenth century, when many African nations were being
colonized by Europeans, the name "Hottentot" became (to the
Europeans, that is) synonymous with "savage."

Would You Rather Be Wealthy?
Would you rather be wealthy or poverty-stricken? Not a
difficult question to answer, is it? How do you think your
thoughts impact on your financial state?
Just as the earth contains in its depths great riches--oil,
diamonds, gold, uranium, silver, gas and countless other
things--you also have the real riches of life deep within
you. Your innate intelligence and your willingness to use
your mind are precious. Begin mining within!
There is a great story about a poor miner in Scotland who
was often unable to even provide shoes for his children.
His young son came to him and told him that he wanted to be
a surgeon. His father asked him why he wanted that career
and he said that a friend at school had had cataracts. An
eye surgeon had operated on his friend and now he could see
perfectly. The young boy said that he wanted to be able to
help people in that same way.
The father told his son that he had saved $8,000 for his
education but would prefer that he worked his way through
medical school and then use that money to set himself up in
a medical practice in a fine neighborhood. The boy did so.
He worked nights and weekends and finally graduated. He
wanted to live up to his promise to his father and not touch
the money in the bank until he graduated.
When he graduated, his father told him that there really was
no money in the bank. The new surgeon was completely at a
loss for words for a few minutes. Then both he and his
father burst out laughing. The son realized that his father
had really engendered the feeling of wealth in his son and
it had given him the courage, faith and confidence to
believe in his ability to earn his way through medical
school.
The secret of success, accomplishment, achievement and
fulfillment of your goals lies in the discovery of the
amazing power of your thoughts and feelings. You must come
to a clear-cut decision that you intend to be successful.
Impress your subconscious with love, confidence, right
action, abundance, security and good humor and it will
always be there for you to "mine"! What you think and keep
in mind, you will create.

The Inflammatory Process
A Special Gift From Nature To You
PART 10 of 12
Do you wonder what happens to the intruders that should be
filtered out by the dried up sinuses and are now allowed to
run in your body? I imagine they go wherever they find a
place to park. And once again, they irritate that area and
the inflammatory process is activated once again. But now,
what if this area that they park in, doesnt leave much
room for the fluid expansion? In the inner ear for instance?
Remember the example I gave previously involving the balance
and hearing nerves? Here I am going to give you another very
simplistic example. But it is a reasonable way to see the
result. Picture a soft cable of very sensitive phone wires
on the ground. Now imagine a momentary heavy load pressing
down on it. I have to think that the result would be a
momentary interruption in the messages being sent. Or at
least a distortion of these messages being relayed. Now
substitute the sensitive phone cables for your inner ear
nerves: the balance (vestibular) and the hearing (acoustic)
nerves. Again this heavy load of whatever would also cause
irregularities or distortions in the messages to be
transmitted. Would you not be getting anxious to try and
find the underlying cause of this inflammatory process at
work?
Have you ever asked yourself where this fluid goes once it
has done its job, but now contains all the toxins? Once they
clean out the inflamed area? Thats where your lymphatic
system (this is considered one of the bodys cleaning
system) and your circulatory (blood) system come into play.
They remove as any toxins as they can and your body returns
to normal. If you suspect that your immune system is a
little overloaded or not completely capable of keeping you
healthy, is there anything you do about it? The AMA told us
you can heal your body by using optimum amounts of a
complete and balanced nutritional supplement.
http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/287/23/3127
Find yourself such a supplement. They exist. A few
companies products come pretty close to these
recommendations.
I have given you several examples of the inflammatory
process in action. Some of it is a bit controversial as it
raises the reasoning of allergy and flu shots. I beg you not
to rush you into your doctors office and wave this article
at them. If you are thinking of taking any action on what
you have learned, you must discuss it openly and
intelligently with your medical practioner. Your body most
likely has become used to its routine. Any changes need to
be done under medical supervision. But it is possible to
make changes. It is possible to review unhealthy conditions.
It is possible to think that drugs arent the only answer or
solution to any and all problems. But it takes courage and
determination and more research on your part.

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.
The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure

In the flash of an eye Maz was up to Miguele. He caused
Miguele to become whole and to rise. This was hard for
Miguele to take. He had never been in such a situation
before. He came around slowly but remained surprised and
pensive.
The pair of them walked down the stairs to the doorway.
The men who had rushed him were now trying to steal parcels
out of the truck. Mazunta yelled and each of them was frozen
in their tracks.
Maz was able to get all the parcels back. The men were
shaking and scared. What was going on here. This man was
stabbed to death. What was he doing walking around as if
nothing was wrong?
Maz told them he would be back here at the same place
tomorrow at 2:00 in the afternoon if any of them wanted to
talk about how this man lives. Then Maz told them they were
free to go.
Miguele really didn't know what went on from that time.
He just went back to work as usual. He was fine, with no
after affects.
Some months passed before he saw Maz again and this time
there was a big surprise.
Maz appeared at the door one day and they invited him
in. Maz was reluctant, saying he had a guest he wanted the
family to meet. Miguele and Abetta bid them come in.
Then it happened. Miguele remembered instantly. The man
Maz brought over was the man who had stabbed him and left
him for dead.
Both men were in a state of shock. Neither knew what to
do. Miguele looked at Maz. Maz winked, "All is well,
Miguele, all is well."
Miguele settled some and bid the man sit.
Romano did, yet was himself uneasy.
"Miguele, over the last few months I have spent time
with Romano. When I said i would be there the next day at
2:00, he was the only one to show up. For the benefit of the
rest of the family, this is the man who stabbed your Father
and left him for dead. Since that day I have worked with
Romano and he has now left the gang and learned higher law."
Miguele looked at Romano. "How can that be?" was the
thought going through his mind.
"Mr. Miguele, I was a gang member and thought like a
gang member until your friend came to talk. I listened and
he was speaking right things. He was not like the
missionaries who come and try to convert us for their sake.
This man wanted nothing. It was my choice all the way. I
began to see gang life would lead nowhere and I became
interested in what he had to say. Then I decided to leave
the gang. They did not want that. They grabbed me and tied
me up. Then they proceeded to cut me up until I was bleeding
to death. They stabbed me as I had stabbed you, then they
hauled me, naked, out tot he garbage dump to die. All I
could think of was Mr. Mazunta, and I called him, in my
mind. That was all the energy I had left. He came
immediately, with his wife, Missy Eloise. They made me whole
and clothed me. Then they worked with me and I learned
higher law. Today I can do as your daughters do. I follow
the directions of my Maker."
Oomano looked at her Father and nodded her head. She was
struck with the man and right before Miguele's eyes a
romance was taking root.
The mood around the table softened. Love was everywhere
present. Miguele knew, from what his daughters had told him
that living by higher law one cannot do evil for it will
come back to harm them in a big way. Miguele relaxed and
decided to make Romano welcome. After all he was only a kid
sent awry by circumstances and no training or leadership. He
was just a big orphan. That Maz had been working with him
meant the boy was no all right. Miguele made him welcome.
Abetta, as usual, set a fine table and they all ate. The
meal was wonderful. After the meal the girls took the kids
outside and invited Romano along.
"This man is a fine man, Miguele. I am glad you invited
him to stay. It was important the pair of you meet. He had
to see you again face to face to clear up some of the left
over baggage he was carrying. Thank you for your
hospitality."
"I have nothing against this young man. All I am
concerned about is the safety of my family and as you vouch
for him, as does my daughter, he is welcome without
limitation. He is only an orphan who is much bigger than
most I bring home." He laughed.
Abetta and Maz laughed too. "That is right, Miguele.
That is right. However, I think there was a spark of love I
detected as between Romano and Oomano."
"I saw that. I trust my girls. If that is to be, then so
be it."
It was to be. The young couple spent all their time
together for nearly a year. Miguele and Abetta watched them
and wondered when they would want to marry.
One day Romano came to Miguele and asked for his
daughter's hand. Miguele was so excited he gave Romano a hug
and his permission. When Oomano came in Miguele offered them
both his blessings. It was a happy day in Miguele's
household.
The kids planned a big wedding. The wanted to invite all
their friends in higher law. By this time Riata had the
orphanage going and she wanted to bring all the kids. Oomano
and Romano wanted to have Eloise and Maz, and Eloise's
family Sam and Alewka Henry and the boys.
For a short instant Miguele saw all his money going for
a wedding.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?
On the Carpet: How did "on the carpet" come to mean a
reprimand?
Originally, only the boss's office had a "carpet"; the other
offices didn't. So, to be called "on the carpet" was to be
called into the boss's office - and this usually meant a
reprimand.

HA! HA! HA!
A farmer finally decided to buy a TV. The store assured him
that they would install the antenna and TV the next day.
The next evening the farmer turned on his new TV and found
only political ads on every channel. The next morning he
turned the TV on and found only political ads again.
When he came in to eat lunch he tried the TV again but still
only found political ads.
The next day when he still found only political ads he
called the store to complain. The owner said that it was
impossible for every channel to only have political ads, but
agreed to send their repairman to check the TV.
When the TV repairman turned on the TV he found that the
farmer was right. After looking at the TV for a while he
went outside to check the antenna. In a few minutes he
returned and told the farmer he had found the problem.
The antenna had been installed on top of the windmill and
grounded to the manure spreader.
