ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -

Who invented the "self-cleaning house"?
You probably don't have one of these yet, but inventor
Frances Gabe hopes you will someday. As a busy, working
mother, Frances knows housework is time-wasting and
thankless work. So she's modified her house to clean itself!
Each room has a "Cleaning/ Drying/ Heating/ Cooling" unit
attached to the ceiling. Simply pressing a button causes the
unit to spray the room, rinse it, and blow dry it. The
floors are slanted to allow water to run off into drains and
(fortunately!) the furniture is coated to be water
resistant. Frances keeps valuable items that might be
damaged by water under glass. Her house also has nearly
seven dozen unique inventions, some of them patented, to
make cleaning a breeze. These include kitchen cabinets where
the dishes are washed and dried and put away, and closets
where the clothes are washed and dried and left to hang! The
toilets, sinks, and bathtubs in the house clean themselves
and the bookshelves dust themselves! The house isn't just
for too-busy-to-clean parents. It would also make life
easier for disabled or elderly folks.
Who invented the brassiere?
Mary Phelps Jacobs, a New York socialite, patented the first
brassiere in 1914. The garment, made out of ribbons and
handkerchiefs, was made for her own personal use as an
alternative to the corset.

Judging A Book By It's Cover.
The bank manager was in the final stages of hiring a cashier
and was down to two final applicants -- one of which would
get the job.
The first one interviewed was from a small college in
upstate New York. A nice young man, but a bit timid.
Then he called for the second man, "Jim Johnson!" Up
stepped a burley young man who seemed quite sure of himself.
"He looks like he can take care of any situation," thought
the manager, and decided, there and then, to hire him.
He turned to the first applicant and told him he could go
and they would let him know.
Turning to Johnson, he said, "Now Jim, I like the way you
carry yourself -- that's an important asset for the job as
cashier. However, you must be precise. I noticed you did not
fill out the place on the application where we asked your
formal education."
Jim looked a little confused so the manager said, "Where did
you get your financial education?"
"Oh," replied Jim -- "Yale."
"That's very good ... excellent. You're hired!"
"Now that you're working for us, what do you prefer to be
called?"
Jim answered "I don't care... Yim... or Mr. Yonson."
Wow! What a pickle the bank manager is in now. Judging his
man by appearance never gave him a clue the man spent time
in jail. (I had to think about this one for a while too.)
Hence the need for consistency. Yes, consistency. If you are
going to succeed at internet marketing, the first rule after
honesty and integrity is be there all the time.
Had the bank manager followed his rules, consistently, he
would have been more thorough, and far more knowledgeable
about his applicants.
You, in internet marketing must be there all the time so
your clients can get a chance to know you. Then, those who
wish may purchase.
You can put on a good show, for a while, like the bankers
applicant, but sooner or later you will show your customer
who you are. Be there. All the time.
The same rule applies for the philosophies you read in THE
PEBBLE®. They are lifetime philosophies. They are not just a
good idea for this week. They must be applied every day, for
a lifetime.
Success can be yours as easy as getting out of bed. All you
need do is follow the rules every day, allowing no thought
to the contrary.
And, so, you must ask yourself, are you who you say you are?
Are the contents of your inner book the same as your public
face? Are you consistently showing the kind of character
people want to deal with, want to be with, want to learn
from?

Some Thoughts On Chelation Therapy
Learning About Possible
Metal Toxicity In Your Body
PART 9 of 11
Some other points to consider: it is important to know that
many studies echo the point that chelation does not improve
atherosclerosis (clogged arteries). By now you will
understand the concept behind chelation: it is to bind and
isolate a metal, and to get it out of your body. So in
conditions where there is no metal, why would someone use or
propose to use this treatment? That makes no sense to me.
The American Heart Association does not recommend chelation
therapy for arteriosclerotic heart disease (damaged artery
walls). People with heart conditions should be evaluated by
a qualified health care professional.
Studies suggest that chelation does not improve peripheral
vascular disease, or claudication (exercise-induced pain or
fatigue in the legs caused by clogged arteries). If you are
considering chelation for heart disease, it is advised to
start with the traditional treatments as well. Continue your
research. My research mentions that repeated chelation
therapy may improve kidney function and slow down the
progression of renal disease. You need to study this further
to confirm these results.
You may recall earlier articles in which I brought to your
attention the American Medical Associations (JAMA)
recommendation for the use a certain configuration of
nutritional supplements to reverse or prevent heart disease
(degenerative conditions.) Here is the link to that report.

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.
The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.

"What do you mean big disasters?"
"Oh! That's right, Sammy. You have never seen
an earthquake, raging forest fires, wars,
hurricanes, tornados, tsunamis. The next time your
Granddad is called away to help, ask him to take
you with him. Your Mom and Dad too, for that
matter. Tell them you want to see, experience,
what they do." Sien knew this would be the way
Sammy would step across the veil into living by
higher law. At the moment his life was so isolated
he had no idea how the rest of the world lived.
"I will take you the next time I am called,
Sammy." Sam reassured him.
"Me, too, Sammy, if you want."
"Oh, yes, Mr. Striker. I would like that."
"And what is this shrine you speak of?"
"You see Oomano over there?" Sam pointed to
Oomano.
"Yes."
"She has a sister, Riata, now looking after an
orphanage in China. Your Aunties Mae and Susan
have been over there to visit her, and you
remember the lady who was playing the piano at
Tim's and Sharon's wedding? That was her. She used
to look after an orphanage in Matto Grosso. The
church wanted to control the orphanage so it
conspired with the city to take it over. Riata
foiled that. Then the church conspired with some
unsavory characters, asking them to kill her.
Riata knew it was coming, yet she permitted it to
happen. The men came into the area of the
orphanage and one of them shot her. She had some
friends standing by, Oomano, your Mother and a
couple others. They appeared out of nowhere and
took Riata away as if ascending in a cloud. From
that day to this the place has been thought of as
a Holy place. The orphans built a shrine and
today, as for the past years, there is a steady
stream of people who come to seek the blessing of
the shrine."
"But that's crazy. No material thing like a
stone can give blessings."
"Be careful, Sammy. The shrine was imbued with
a power. The people feel it when they come by.
Many are healed. Yet it may not be the shrine but
only the people's thinking. What does it matter if
the people are helped, without any cost to the
people?"
"I guess you're right, Grandpa."
"Tomorrow, Sammy, after you have spoken with
Romano, I'll take you there so you can see what is
happening. Then you will know."
"Can I come too, Grandpa?" AliAnn had been
listening to every word of the conversation.
"Yes, my sweet. You can come too. You might
also want to go with Sammy to hear Romano's story.
It would be good for you to know that many people
have different lives."
"Do you think Mom would let us go with you?"
"If not then I'll spank her, how's that?"
The kids laughed at the idea of Grandpa
spanking their Mother. The whole idea was
preposterous and funny.
"I heard that. I'll scream and holler and cry
so much the whole village will come and see what
you are doing." Eloise added her part to the
conversation.
They all laughed.
"Mom, can we go with Grandpa?"
"Certainly. He looked after me when I was
young. He can certainly look after you two, but
you must behave for him or he'll tell me and your
Father when you return."
"Oh Mom, of course we'll behave. We know what
you taught us."
"Yes, Sammy, I do. You make me very proud. I
know I have no worries at all. You go and enjoy.
You'll see other kids at the orphanage, too.
You'll like it there. But remember your Grandpa is
taking you there so you might see and learn
things. You pay attention. It will be worth your
while. He might even take you to other places. So
you listen and have fun."
The kids were excited. They chattered on the
whole evening, and kept the adults busy answering
questions. They were keen on learning.
Eventually the fire came to an end. All
attendees left for their huts and sleep. Half the
kids were already asleep in their Mother's or
their Father's arms.
The next day broke clear and warm. Even before
breakfast Sammy and AliAnn were over to the guest
huts looking for Romano.
"Whoa! You two are early this morning, aren't
you? I'm hardly even awake yet and you want me to
tell you stories."
"No, Romano. We don't want stories. We want
the truth. Grandpa says you were a gang member
when you were young. We don't know about such
things so we want to hear."
"Okay, sit down and I'll tell you what
happened."

"No sorry, we certainly don't stock it. What is it anyway?
Some foreign beer?"
"Well I'm not sure," admitted the man. "It was my doctor
