Will anything kill kudzu?
There are some herbicides that will kill kudzu. Allowing
animals to overgraze land with kudzu will also kill the
vine. But kudzu is so aggressive that it comes back, so you
have to be certain to totally eradicate it and monitor kudzu
sites for years to prevent regrowth.
Is it true that drinking too much water can kill you?
Yes, but not easily. It may be hard to believe, but you can
actually die from water intoxication. How much water do you
need to drink to overdose on it? Well, it's not the amount
so much as what you're doing and how fast you drink it. Most
at risk are athletes who drink large amounts of water as
they complete marathons or other extreme sporting events.
Most endurance athletes need anywhere from eight to sixteen
ounces per hour, but too much more than that can be
dangerous, causing seizures and death. What happens is the
large amount of water all at once overwhelms the body's
cells, partly by diluting the body's sodium, potassium, and
electrolytes. The cells become too puffed up and disrupt
normal body functioning. Brain cells can swell, causing
disorientation like you see in intoxicated people. Athletes
are already losing salts through sweating and they need more
than just water to replace them. That's why sports drinks,
like Gatorade, are better than water when you're running a
marathon. They replace the electrolytes and salts.

Ted Koppel To End His Night Line Nov. 28
TED KOPPEL, WHOSE CONTRACT AS host of ABC's long-running
"Nightline" series expires in December, Thursday said he
would air his final episode on Nov. 28. ABC has yet to
announce succession plans. Koppel will be the fourth major
network news anchor to leave the business in the past year,
following NBC's Tom Brokaw, CBS' Dan Rather, and ABC's late
Peter Jennings. -- Joe Mandese
NBC Slates Live Episode of 'West Wing,' Will Stir Debate
IN A STUNT TO CREATE some buzz for sagging Sunday night
political drama "West Wing," NBC has confirmed plans to air
a rare live episode on Nov. 6 featuring a live debate
between two fictional Presidential candidates. NBC will
produce two separate live telecasts of the episode: one each
for East and West Coast feeds. -- Joe Mandese
Goodyear Gets A New Blimp
THE GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER Company is launching a new
airship--otherwise known as a blimp--in the spring of 2006,
to be used in its Pompano Beach, Florida operation. The new
airship has been in production for the past two years.
Goodyear's two other U.S.-based airships--the Spirit of
Goodyear, located near Akron, and the Carson,
California-based Spirit of America--were recently in New
York City to support the company's meeting with financial

A Very Simplistic Explanation of Free Radicals
and Anti-Oxidants
This is going to be a completely simplistic explanation of
these terms and how they relate to you. However, it is
important for you to have some understanding of these
mechanisms so you can make conscious, informed decisions as
to health, nutrition, and lifestyle.
Free Radicals -
are considered the "bad guys" or enemies of the body. In
medical terms, they are the "unpaired electrons". When they
are "paired" they don't cause a problem. It's only when they
are alone (unpaired), that they cause "oxidative stress" and
need to be "neutralized/made harmless".
Sources: any unusual, foreign "things" coming in the body
that isn't supposed to be there… poor food choices such as
white flour or sugar, fumes, smoking, fertilisers,
preservatives, chemicals..
Anti-Oxidants -
these are considered the "good guys" in the body. They
neutralize the free radicals and keep the body "balanced",
healthy.
Sources of anti-oxidants: your body produces some and the
rest MUST be found in foods eaten. They used to be called
vitamins and come with different names now. Foods that
supply them will be your fruits and vegetables. And for many
people this will hint at the fact that finding them in their
diet will be difficult.
Examples of degenerative conditions caused by free radicals
are Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Parkinson's, Lupus, Cataracts,
Macular Degeneration.

The two youngsters went to lay down on the
couch. Sleep came hard, excitement of the unknown
taking priority. Yet sleep they did.
Sam, Abetta and Miguele talked late into the
night. Sam, of course, could regenerate energy any
time he wanted, so sleep was not an issue with
him. The kids, not yet living by higher law needed
sleep to re-energize.
"What's the scuttlebutt around here about the
church?"
"Not too much, Sam. Folks just seem too busy
to attend and that is being accepted as a normal
and natural thing. The church is crying because
their revenues have disappeared, but the people
think nothing of it, so they do not speak of it."
"Good! I think that is the way it should be.
The church will begin to move people out of the
area, keeping only a bare bones staff around.
That, too, is good. It would appear that for the
moment the church is not any longer placing guilt
trips on people. Maybe, after a time they will
begin to see what the church has done to them and
rebel completely. Anyway, for the moment, the
church is not digging into the people's hard
earned cash and they will begin to prosper.
Prosperity is not a follower of the Catholic
church. There are many many lands dominated by the
church where poverty is the order of the day, even
where prosperity abounds all around."
"Are not all churches the same, Sam?"
"Yes, Miguele and if you step outside the
Christian religion, then you can find all other
beliefs doing the same to their people. Worse yet
there are some who, while teaching there is a God
of love, insist that fighting and killing in the
name of God is the way to expand the religion.
They don't say that to the people. They just stir
up all sorts of fuss to turn the hearts of the
people against a group. Then they look aside when
the killing starts. Yet in the overall they look
to this activity to expand their boundaries and
make the religion dominant."
"Will the people ever see this, Sam?"
"Yes, Abetta. In time and when the
circumstance is right the people will see that all
organized religions are working on their own
agenda, which agenda is using the people, not
caring for them."
"We will have to leave that to the youth, Sam.
There is no way we will change the mind of those
over thirty."
"But that is true of all things, Miguele. We
know the young will come up filled with ideals and
will be willing to look at new ideas and
ideologies. As time goes by that is how man has
evolved into what he is today. Without that
element, built into the system, man would still be
learning how to build fire. Within the next 1000
years, Miguele, you will see much movement toward
living by higher law. The churches will be seen
for what they are and the young will put
continuing pressure toward higher law. This is the
millennium for spiritual growth.d"
"I am glad, Sam. I look forward to working
with people genuinely interested in spiritual
growth. The world is not a nice place when money
is people's God. And when it isn't money it's
religion. Both cause wars, terror, killing, death
and pain for the people."
"Such is the way, Miguele. Yet the people, not
having an alternative to look at, at least in
their minds, continue on the same path as usual.
It will take great catastrophic events that will
have the people begin to look elsewhere for truth.
They will see it lays not in religion or money."
"What makes you think they will see it in
higher law, Sam?"
"Because in the breast of every person beats
this inexorable pull toward your Maker. It has
been there since the beginning of time and will be
there through infinity. Those who learn higher law
now are those who pay attention to this pull and
follow it as far as they can. In doing so they
come to see higher law. Those are the people we
work with presently, as you know. Slowly this
expands the network of knowledge and will serve as
the foundation for future growth."
"Sam you make it sound just like the church
you spoke of earlier."
"There are some noticeable differences,
Miguele. We are not taking from the people, but
giving only. We have no expectations of the
people, neither do we pass judgment upon them or
put them into guilt trips. We only show them the
truth and it is up to them to proceed in any way
they wish. You know the law keeps all things in
line. We serve to have the people see their Maker
lives within their own breast and that
establishing a communication with that source is
the way of life their Maker wants. Each is and
always shall remain in charge of their own
decisions. None are forcing or requiring any
specific action from them. We serve the people
without taking from them."
"That's true, Sam. The entire thrust is
opposite of today's organized religion."

exam because of a funeral. "No problem," I told him. "Make
