thePEBBLE - 10/27/05 - Your Attitude Can Keep You Young!
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
A typical, obviously American, community. Two young people
given an opportunity for an a adventure with an attainable
financial reward. Their adventure into the inkonwn, not
restrained by dogmatic rules or community restraints, leads
them to resources that change no only the two adventurers'
attitudes, but attitudes of others.
The reader will either come away with a a feeling of
wonderment or question the writer's declared source, his
Maker, for the content.
I was not envious of the characters' adventures but enjoyed
the book as it refreshed the wonderment I had as a youth and
now as a practical adult, to "think outside the box" about
powers that are within us.

It took me back to my youth and now inspires me to "think
outside the box".

How old are coral reefs?
Why are skimpy two-piece bathing suits called "bikinis"?
--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
If coral is alive, and animal, does it eat?
Yes. Most of the food comes from tiny algae called
zooxanthellae that live within the coral colony. But coral
also feed off plankton that are passing by. They extend
long, stinging tentacles to capture the plankton. Coral
polyps generally eat at night. During the day, they stay
inside their skeletons to avoid predators.
Do corals reproduce?
Yes. Corals reproduce through spawning, releasing trillions
of eggs and sperm into the water. No actual physical contact
takes place. The egg and sperm join to form a larva that
attaches itself to a hard surface and becomes a coral polyp.
In many parts of the world, coral spawn at the same time,
one or several nights just once a year. It's probably
necessary for them to spawn all at once to make reproduction
possible. After all, simply releasing egg and sperm into the
water isn't the most efficient way to get the two to link
up. But millions of coral releasing egg and sperm all at
once certainly increase the odds!

Your Attitude Can Keep You Young!
A 60-year-old man went to the doctor for a checkup.
The doctor told him, "You're in terrific shape. There's
nothing wrong with you. Why, you might live forever. You
have the body of a 35 year old. By the way, how old was your
father when he died?"
The 60 year old responded, "Did I say he was dead?"
The doctor was surprised and asked, "How old is he and is he
very active?"
The 60 year old responded, "Well, he is 82 years old and he
still goes skiing three times a season and surfing three
times a week during the summer."
The doctor couldn't believe it. "Well, how old was your
grandfather when he died?"
The 60 year old responded again, "Did I say he was dead?"
The doctor was astonished. He said, "You mean to tell me you
are 60 years old and both your father and your grandfather
are alive? Is your grandfather very active?"
The 60 year old said, "He goes skiing at least once a season
and surfing once a week during the summer. Not only that,"
said the patient, "my grandfather is 106 years old, and next
week he is getting married again."
The doctor said, "At 106 years, why on earth would your
grandfather want to get married?"
His patient looked up at the doctor and said, "Did I say he
wanted to?
Some have attitudes like this and their life seems to be a
constant joy. Others are afraid to express attitudes like
this and the joy in their lives is conspicuous by it's
absence.
Each of us can make a choice. We can embrace life, tackle it
like it was meant for you, wrap your arms around it with joy
and handle every problem as if it is a challenge rather than
a threat.
Or we can treat challenges like they are threats, create
problems where none exist and generally fail to enjoy life.
The choice is ours.
Some will swear that attitude has nothing to do with how
well your life goes. They will tell you it cannot in any way
make life easier, better or last longer. Those are the ones
who prefer to bring you down so they have some company.
Don't listen.
A sound, good, attitude can measurably give you both a
longer life and a much better quality of life all the way
along.
Have you ever noticed that to the one with a happy, bouncy
attitude, nothing is impossible? Have you noticed they
overcome where others struggle? Have you noticed how they
attract people and are spoken of and thought of in high and
respected terms?
Do people speak of you this way? Are you one of the ones
whose life is a joy every minute? It is a matter of choice.
Each can have this. Each can live longer, better and spread
joy wherever you go.
Are you embarrassed to try? Are you afraid people will point
fingers and say silly, laughing things about you? Then
consider it is you life, your body and you are at liberty to
spend them any way you want.
When people ask me how I am the answer is "Terrific" or
"Fantastic". It has been that way for years. Guess what? I
am terrific. The more I say it the "terrificer" I get.
Try it. Spread joy, happiness, enthusiasm wherever you go.

Power Type Your Way To Relaxation
Are you ever so angry that you want to punch someones
lights out? Has a person caused you so much stress that
you want to get back at them physically
a meeting
a
goof up
a crucial project gone wrong? A colleague taking
credit for you work?
Power type the whole scenario out: forget about the errors
and punctuation. Don't worry about word/concept flow.
Just get all the relevant information out of your head unto
paper or into the computer, no reading what you just
wrote. Just type as quickly as you can think: no checking,
no backspacing: just type.
When you're all done, stop! Then take a few minutes and
do something totally different. Now go back and edit your
masterpiece of frustration. Start making some sense out
of jumble of words. Correct the punctuation, create the
paragraphs: connect sentences and ideas in a sensible
order. Clean up the document. Now to the de-stressor
No, you're not going to send it. You're going to read it out
loud...to yourself, but with the new knowledge that the recipient
has just been told that his mother, with whom he had
very special relationship, died three days ago. Doesn't
that take the wind out of your sails? Doesn't that remove
some of the stress? Doesn't that make you a little more
compassionate? The value of this exercise is that it lets
you get the stress out of your system by typing fast:
driven by a sense of urgency. This exercise also distracts
you and thus gives your body a bit of time to relax.
Lastly, take that paper message and scrunch it up,
and hurl it around the room. We don't want you to
send it and ruin a professional relationship!

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.
The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.

"Tonight, ladies and gentlemen we are going to do
something a little different. With the children learning
higher law and coming away with me and Mr. Sam, several
things occurred. First, for you parents, your children
learned a great deal and are much more prepared to live
their lives today than they were before they left. Second,
to you children. You have each been so wrapped up in
yourselves and the things you have seen that you forgot your
parents. While we were gone only two days, none of you have
stopped to consider the terrible ordeal your parents had to
endure in your absence. When two or three of you left, that
would be okay. However, all the children in this village
left. There was not one remaining in this village. I think
it is time you children search deep into your hearts to
consider what a trauma that condition is, to have a village
without the laughing, screaming, crying of youngsters. So
tonight I am going to ask six people to get up and speak of
what happened in the last two days. The children will speak
first and will tell what they saw and did while they were
away. Speak of the friends you made in China. Speak of the
herds of animals you saw in Africa. Describe for your
parents the story of the last two days. Parents, when it is
your turn I ask that you describe for us the conditions you
saw and felt having the village empty of children. Kids, you
pick your speakers and adults you pick yours." Mazunta
lowered his hands and returned to his seat.
The mood was somber. All at the fire were now thinking
deeply on what had happened. Some broke into groups and
began choosing who would speak and on what topics. It was
nearly an hour before folks appeared ready to speak.
They all looked at Maz at the head of the the circle. He
nodded his head in response to the unspoken question.
One young man rose and came to stand in front of
Mazunta. That was the expected position from which he was to
share his story.
"When we left here we went to a monastery high in the
Andes mountains about 1500 miles from here. At first it was
cold, so we learned how to control the environment around
our bodies. Before that we learned of a way we could travel
to such a place and from there we learned how we could
travel anywhere.
While we were there Jesus came to speak to us and
welcomed each of us into higher law. He touched each of us
on the arm and there left a heart shaped emblem on our arms.
Only those with pure hearts can see them." He raised his arm
and showed the heart to the village. All the rest of the
kids showed their parents. Each adult in this village was
able to see.
"Next we went to China to visit Riata, Miss Mae, Miss
Susan and Mr. Sams son Tom. They were at an orphanage where
parent-less children come to live. The adults have been
teaching these children higher law so they were very much
interested in how we were able to travel and do the other
things we did. We made many good friends there.
Then we went to a place called Africa where Miss Sonora,
here, lives and Mr. Hemno, here, lives. They live on a hill
that slopes down for about two miles onto a long, wide
plain. The plain is rich in grasses so there are many
animals there. In one glance we could see thousands of
animals, all different kinds While this may sound like a
far fetched story it is nonetheless true. You must ask and
talk with each one of us and you will get the same story. I
have never seen so many animals. There we learned to
broadcast love. We learned how we can keep our persons and
our clothing clean. We learned how to manifest the food we
needed and we learned that if you want nice sweets then you
must go to Miss Sonora's place where her Mother makes a good
cookie."
There was laughter all around. A cheer went up for the
young man and for Sonora and Hemno.
Next came a young woman just barely into her teens. "I
learned of love while I was away. I speak not of the love as
between a boy and a girl, although I saw that in China
between Mr. Sam's son and his girlfriend. They are very much
in love and will marry soon.
The love I want to speak of is the love that gives us
life, prosperity, protection, motivation, peace. While I was
away I watched how our Mr. Mazunta carried himself. I
watched how our Mr. Sam carried himself. I saw in both of
these men a love that went beyond all things. They broadcast
love unto all with equal zeal. None are exempt from it's
influence. They have no enemies because no enemy can stand
up against the love they broadcast. We saw that to be true,
too, of the dangerous animals in Africa. The big cats,
though ferocious were as little kittens in our hands, much
the same way as the love of everyone in this village for
Midnight kept her wanting to protect this village from harm.
I learned that it is in loving all men, women and children
with that pure, sweet love that offers the highest regard
for each person as being the son or daughter of the same
Maker that lives in our breast, that is the way our Maker
wants all mankind to live.
I learned there is no exception to that rule, that it
must be applied to all and all the time. I am honored to
have the privilege of knowing and working with two such
eminent men as those who led us on this journey."
The young woman sat down. There was a loud cheer went up
for her and for Mazunta and Sam. Each of them had a tear in
their eye. That they were observed this closely was only
confirmation they lived their lives as their Maker wanted.
The cheering did not stop. It kept on going. The village
was looking for someone to honor, to look up to, to lead at
this moment. They were all with hearts so full of gratitude
their children returned safely, and learned so much of
life's important values, they just kept on with the
cheering.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?
In at the Death: What is the origin of the term "in at the
death"?
In fox hunting it's considered very desirable to keep up
with the dogs - or at least to have arrived by the time the
treed fox is killed. Every fox hunter tries to be "in at the
death".
