Why is the ozone hole over Antarctica?
No, it's not just chance. During the Antarctic winter, a
extremely cold oval-shaped polar vortex forms over the south
pole area, bringing ozone rich air from above and pushing
ozone poor air out. The extreme cold causes large nitrogen
oxide-absorbing clouds to form. As these clouds of water and
nitric acid form, they can enlarge to the point that they
cover the entire Antarctic region. When sunlight then passes
through the clouds, chlorine and chlorine oxide, which
destroys ozone, is formed.
What is the largest man-made construction on earth?
The Great Wall of China. The Great Wall is called the Wall
of 10,000 Li by the Chinese (a li is about 1/3 of a mile).
Wide enough to accommodate ten people walking abreast, the

A cannibal went to the tribe's witch doctor.
"Doc, I've been feeling lousy lately."
"Hmmm," replied the witch doctor. "Let's review your diet.
Are you eating man or animal?"
"Man, doc. We're eating those Catholic missionaries we
caught last week."
"OK, tell me how you cook them."
"Same way as always, doc. We boil them up in the big pot."
"Hmmmm," pondered the witch doctor. "Tell me more about
these Catholic missionaries."
"Well, funny thing, doc. They all look alike! They're short,
fat,
wear long robes, sandals, rope for belts, and are bald with
a fringe of hair."
"Well, that's your problem right there," responded the witch
doctor. "Those guys aren't boilers! Their friars!"
Wow! This guy sounds like the kind of connoisseur I don't
want to meet.
Still, like all jokes it brings out a point. It explains
that often
when we are striving to reach a goal, we don't "cook right".
Oh! We have all the right ideas. We have the right products.
We have the right audience to reach, we have found our
niche, but somehow it isn't quit working just right.
So many try and fail because they don't properly assess
the circumstances, the conditions or how they are reacting
to them. They simply draw the conclusion their attempts
don't work and they move on to try something altogether
new and different, or quit.
You know, we would likely not have the telephone if Bell
took that attitude. He knew he was in the right arena. He
knew he was on the right path. He knew he was close.
Yet somehow it wasn't working just right.
Then, one day, one of his assistants had an accident that
changed the world forever. He spilled some fluid on vital
equipment, and his voice was heard over wires.
That is what we must do. We must not give up. We must
try the same old thing in different ways. You KNOW, deep
inside you that you are doing right, are in the right place.
All you need do is sometimes change the way you cook
to have the meal turn out right.

The Make Up Of Your Body And How It Functions
Most books on the body have an atlas or a diagram, a
roadmap. These usually present two genders: male and female.
Why? Because bodies are similar in actions, but not totally
similar in structure. All are identical except for the
reproductive system: each gender has its own. Being small or
large boned or being overweight or very tiny, doesn't really
present a major challenge. The underlying organs are
essentially the same. Generally the female body has smaller
features.
Do you ever look at pictures in medical books or sites and
wonder why the patient is always facing to the front, in an
upright position? That's called the anatomical position.
From that viewpoint, everything is identified. So a medical
person anywhere in the world can relate to the picture or
person. It allows everyone to determine how "deviant" the
situation is from the normal. Everyone in the medical
community studies this in detail. It is the roadmap for
their decisions. Each must learn and understand and then
apply this knowledge.
And remember that when a health care professional is
checking you in person, they are facing you. This image of
you is the same as the person in the picture. So the
doctor's "left" is actually your "right". They will
immediately "translate" this to the correct side. There are
other imaginary lines drawn all over your body. This is
medical terminology. (It is a universal way for all health
care personal to relate to each other.) This way of teaching
describes different parts of the body in quadrants or
planes. Each has a specific meaning. So if you directed me
to a pain in your left upper quadrant, I would know what
structures lay underneath that point. Cavities ("hollow" or
"unoccupied" spaces) exist in your body. (The term
“cavities” is not solely used to describe holes in your
teeth.) Everyone has an anterior and a posterior side:
front and back. Because everyone's anatomy is virtually
identical, you can see how quickly someone can make a
medical assumption. Granted, once in while, someone has an
anomaly or an unusual position or no organ at all, but here
we are only dealing with the normal anatomy for the general
population.

There Are Reasons To Look At World Affairs And Rejoice
Some of you wonder why I keep on talking about the state of
world affairs which, at the very least, appears negative -
very negative.
Rejoice. Think of the poem Desiderata. The world is actually
unfolding as it should.
The important thing is for you to find your place in it and
contrary to the way you have been taught that particular
answer does not lie in money, prestige, or even being able
to provide for your family. That answer lies inside you.
Yes, your Maker beats the drum you follow. It is in your
best interest to go inside and determine who and what you
are. You do not know what is going to happen in world
affairs. The only thing you have control over is how you
will react to them.
That is why you go inside to find peace, prosperity and
power. Stop looking to external forces, material goods and
good times to be your answer. It is inside you and it
behooves you to take the time to find it.
Only when you do this shall you begin to feel peace. Only
when you do this will you be able to see your path clearly.
Only when you do this will you find the answers you need to
govern and guide your future and that of those around you.
The state of world affairs is not negative for the one who
has found a relationship with his/her Maker inside. Those
are the ones who know who they are and will be the survivors
when the events in the world overtake the majority.
No amount of food and water stored up will allow you to
survive. Only by doing what you are told from within will
cause you the peace, prosperity and survival you seek.
Fear not world events. Fear only your own ignorance. Fear
your lack of peace from within. Fear your own decision to
live in the world and follow what the world does like
lemmings.
It is your choice. You can be a part of the squawking
seagulls on the beach of you can be Jonathon Livingstone
Seagull. The choice is completely and exclusively yours.
Probably the single most important thing you can do for you
and your family is to find a way to peace of mind,
stillness, being calm. When you do that you have
great strength with which you can lead your family and be an
example to your neighbors. Peace comes from within and has
to be worked on before one finds the formula.
