Overture Makes A Bid For Greater Automation
Overture plans to automate a portion of its ad-bidding
system in the next month. Two services will be automated for
advertisers: broad matching and phrase matching. Both let
marketers target keyword-related ads to a broader set of
search queries across the Web. Overture will distribute the
service, called advanced match type, to Yahoo! and Microsoft.
Both companies had previously opted out of carrying
Overture's specialty ads. The change reflects the growing
similarity between Overture and Google, its closest rival.

Just An Online Minute... Online Job Board Revenues Grow

Corzen, a provider of market research and intelligence, today
reports that revenues for the top three online job boards rose
38 percent in the second quarter, versus the same period a
year ago. During the second quarter of 2003, print recruitment
advertising in newspapers increased just 20 percent,
according to Newspaper Association of America estimates.
In May, Corzen reported the top online jobs giants: Monster
ranked first, raking in nearly $320 million in the U.S. in 2003;
Careerbuilder, owned by newspaper chains Gannett Co.,
Tribune Co., and Knight Ridder, came in second with $160
million; and Yahoo!'s HotJobs generated nearly $90 million
for the period.
So, if online job classifieds are showing growth, is that an
indication that the economic rebound is, in fact, a reality? Or,
does it mean that companies pared back so much during the
downturn that they find themselves in a panic over recruitment?

Excel
As you work with 3-D charts, you may find that some
data is completely or partially obscured. You can rotate
the chart by doing this.
Activate the 3-D chart.
Choose the Chart, 3-D View menu command.
In the 3-D View dialog box that appears, make your
rotations and perspective changes by clicking the
appropriate controls.
Click OK
You can also rotate the chart in real time by dragging corners
with the mouse. Normally, this procedure displays an outline of
the chart's borders only. If you press Ctrl while dragging a
corner, you can also see outlines of the chart series.

MEDICAL COLUMN - - - -
Your Hope And Your Vision...Is The
Agenda You Are Following Your Own
Or Someone Else's? Recognizing
A Major Stressor In Your Life

Here in a nutshell are the suggestions I gave
Sandy.as lived by me: a reformed type A (AAA)
personality, reformed controller, multitasker, and
general gopher.
1) I studied my workload: what worked and what
didn't. I booked time for certain tasks and
eliminated several or delegated them to others. (I
didn't think I had anyone to delegate to!) I
always create a workable, daily schedule and do my
very best to stick to it. I rearranged my office
to make it work more comfortably. (I discovered
that if I was comfortable and warm, I could work
much better.) My very best move: I hired a
competent bookkeeper!
2) Then I slowed down and relaxed and started to
enjoy each activity. Slowing down was a very tough
thing for me to do. I started to say NO: another
very tough action for a multitasker
extraordinaire!
3) I made up my mind I would learn something I had
always wanted to do, but people said I shouldn't.
Daily I now study something in this area.
4) I also created a rule that if I want to do
something or go somewhere, I do it regardless if
anyone joins me. I learned to enjoy my own
company! Novel thought! (I started to apply Dale
Carnegie training to myself.)
5) I developed this huge list of goals! I won't
have time to die for ages!
I invite you to try any or all of these ideas. But
first I do really want to encourage you to
discover your passions: not your boss' or your
family's. (Let them deal with theirs.) These
passions will help you align yourself with your
talents. This is the future you are meant to live.
And enjoy. It's like being released from a
"holding pattern" for airplanes and given the "go
ahead" for your own project. It's exhilarating, a
bit scary, but vastly helpful to your mental and
physical health. Suddenly people will envy you and
ask "what's happened to you: you're so different".
Go for it! Welcome to the rest and most exciting
part of your life! It all starts with you and your
willingness to say "what if I could and how can
I". Look for possibilities, commit to following at
least one, and stick with it. And yes, YOU CAN!

having sex until you marry." Romano went straight
to the point. "Oomano and I went through that. It
was tough. I had had many girls in my former life,
but Oomano and I did not have sex until we
married. There were many nights and times when we
touched each other, and even went further than
maybe we should have, but we did not have sex. We
didn't even bring each other to a climax, until
after marriage. Now, here's why. You know and I
know that all of us can have sex. Once our bodies
are ready it is hard not to. Yet, rightly or
wrongly we live in societies where we are expected
to marry, then have sex and the resulting
children. By following the expectations of
Oomano's Mom and Dad, we gave them a fine time,
worry free, at our wedding. But more important, we
could stand tall, knowing we had controlled
ourselves. It is a terrific and completely
unbeatable platform from which to start a
marriage. It's wonderful. If you have sex, you
will always wonder about it." Romano gave them the
whole spiel.
"But all sorts of kids, even younger than I
are having sex any time they want it, back home."
Sharon was attempting to justify her thinking.
"Sure. They are following man's way. I know
that. We have all sorts of kids who think of
nothing but sex, here too. But it doesn't do them
any good but for the pleasure of the moment. It
does not build their character. It does not make
them strong. They give in to their every whim,
exercising no self control, and as a result spoil
all their lives. It is only in self control that
love and beauty flourish. Wanton behavior makes
people weak. Self control makes people strong.
Once practiced you will know. And then, after you
wed, if that is what you decide to do, you will be
forever glad you took the hard way."
"Oh you guys, you make everything look so
hard. Why can't we just have sex and then get
married when we want?"
Romano was right back at her, "You can. Go
ahead. But think that through first. Any fool can
have sex. It takes a man to be responsible and do
it when the time is right. Let's say we aren't
talking about sex here. Let's say we're talking
about having candy, or smoking. We do know that
neither is good for you. We know that you can
break either habit and be much better for it,
would you agree?"
"Well, yes, I guess so."
"Sex is just the same only the passions one
has flowing through ones veins make it very hard
to stop. It is like the habit of smoking or
drinking. You get only so far when trying to stop
and then all the forces of habit kick in and it is
very hard not to reach for that smoke. Yet if you
are determined to stop smoking and you resist that
urge then it gets easier the next day, and easier
the next. When done you will have achieved
something of which you are proud. It enhances your
self confidence. It makes you strong. If you give
in to your urges it is true you will enjoy them,
but you will never be able to hold your head high
and state that you resisted until you were wed.
That will weaken you in a thousand ways. Trust me
you don't want that, not among us."
Sharon was listening intently. She knew Romano
was right.
"Something else, Sharon" said Oomano, "It
means that your man respects you and your wishes.
I know how proud it made me of Romano, knowing he
held back even when it inflicted physical pain on
him."
"Tell be about it!" Tim had just gone through
that and was acknowledging the point.
"I don't understand" said Sharon, completely
naive.
Oomano answered her. "When a man is sexually
aroused to high intensity and fails to complete
the act, then his testicles swell up and cause him
much pain. Many men try to make you think it is
your responsibility to service them to avoid that
occurrence. A man who truly loves you will never
do that."
"You mean it hurts a man not to have sex?"
"It does if he has been highly aroused for
quite a while and had no finish to it." Romano
knew what he was talking about.
"Has that happened to you Tim?" Sharon was
quite surprised about all this and was asking out
of a genuine need to know.
"Yes. That day we were at Eloise's. We spent
all that time inside and did not complete what we
were doing. It hurt for about five hours after. I
did not tell you because it was not your fault."
"Oh, my. There are a lot of things I must
learn, reality being one of them. I'm sorry. I
didn't mean for that to happen" she said to Tim.

TODAY'S REPORT:
Boy! Confusion today. Our power went out and 2 A.M. last
night and didn't get hooked up again until 4 P.M. today. That
means the work I usually do in the mornings must be done
now, before supper. A little bit of a rush. Would you believe
we had a very wet snowfall last night and trees were falling,
breaking and bringing down power lines. Oh well! Every
day on this side of the grass is still a good one.
