We don't know. The original 1621 feast took place
sometime between September 21 and November 11.
Unlike our Thanksgiving celebration, it was three
days long.
Did they eat turkey and pies?
They MAY have eaten wild turkey, along with a number
of other wild fowl, such as goose, swan, eagle, duck, or
partridge. The might also have eaten venison or seal, or
seafood such as clams or lobster. They almost certainly
did NOT eat corn on the cob (it was kept dried out at that
time of year), pumpkin pie (no recipes existed for it at
that time, though they might have had stewed pumpkin),
or cranberry sauce (they had cranberries, but no sugar).

Consistently Insist on Persisting!

A policeman pulls over a driver for swerving in and out of
lanes on the highway. He tells the guy to blow a breath
into a breathalyzer.
"I can't do that, officer."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm an asthmatic. I could get an asthma attack
if I blow into that tube."
"Okay, we'll just get a urine sample down at the station."
"Can't do that either, officer."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm a diabetic. I could get low blood sugar if
I pee in a cup."
"Alright, we could get a blood sample."
"Can't do that either, officer."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm a hemophiliac. If I give blood I could die."
"Fine then, just walk this white line."
"Can't do that either, officer."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm drunk."
The police officer was clearly going to get his job done.
Notice how he persisted. Finally he got to the bottom of
the issue. It might also be noted the drunk was pretty
persistent as well. He just ran out of answers.
Most folks don't realize the value of persistence. Poor is
the man who knows not it's value. It is only by keeping
on that we achieve. Those who want instant gratification
are those who end up followers, not leaders. The leader
is one who recognizes the value of persisting, of daily
trying to achieve, of planning the work and working the
plan.
One must decide what one is going to do. Adopting the
attitude of persistence will certainly bring on the success
for which one is looking. I read the other day a saying by one
of America's success teachers. He said that "Success
must be paid for, in full, in advance." He's right. Until you
pay that price, and that takes persistence, success will
elude you. There is no other way. Winning a lottery
is not success.
So make your choices. To consistently insist on
persisting is a formula that will cause you to achieve
your objective.

Find The Courage To Be Yourself, Make
Your Own Decisions, and Reduce Stress

This is where “ground rules” come into play. I’ll share
as few of my personal ones. But in order for you to
develop a set of your own, you first need to know who
you are and what your future is all about. And that
“future” doesn’t have to happen tomorrow, but it will
change because you are changing. And that future is all
about your talents, feelings, abilities, skills, and
many other things. Consider how families are so
different. One may want to have talents in the realm of
art and another in sports. Same parents: different
skill sets. Discovering all this is not an easy task,
but unless you make a decision to do it, you will drift
into oblivion. Or worse still, someone else will
dictate your entire life for you. It happens every
single day.
What are some examples of ground rules? They would
include, but would not be limited to your values. Some
of my values are loyalty, punctuality, self-respect,
acceptance, self-reliance plus many others. And my
ground rules are adapted from these. For instance if
someone keeps me waiting, it will happen once. They
will be gently reminded that I value punctuality and
would they would please let me know if they are going
to be late next time. Next time, if I don’t get a
warning, there will be no further rides or whatever.
Last week I was reminded how strong this value of mine
is. I was five minutes late for a nursing clinic.
Whereas my normal journey would take 20 minutes, this
one took me over an hour! There was nothing I could do
about it. I was stuck in traffic. Once I reached the
clinic and explained, no one cared…EXCEPT ME! I kept
wondering why I held others up. I knew 5 minutes wasn’t
a lot, but I pride myself on being punctual and
reliable. I realise others don’t have this strong
aversion to being late. That’s the point here: you may
hate seeing an injustice done: someone else may not see
it the same way. You might love loud music and someone
can’t stand the vibrations in their ear. We are all
different. And that’s perfectly OK. So just for now,
don’t speak out and up about your desire to make some
serious changes in your life. Keep it to yourself. And
as you get more comfortable, you will become much more
confident. Your frustration is a sign of not being in
control of your own actions…of someone overruling your
planned activities.
I’ll share another personal example here. A few days
ago, we had Chinese food. I picked up the order that
included enough egg rolls (Mmmm) for everyone. It was a
delicious meal, and I was too full to eat my egg roll.
A few hours later I found out someone had eaten my egg
roll. Fine. I announced that I was going for more egg
rolls and would this person like one as well and maybe
more for the next day. “No, thank you”. I bought some
more and lo, and behold, this new egg roll disappeared
as well. I didn’t see this as being funny; it was a
nuisance. This had been my planned evening snack.
Through no control or desire on my part, my snack was
now gone. I spoke up. This will not happen again.

stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,

anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.

The children wandered away from the group and
began to play with the younger kids at the
orphanage. Little Tsung even crawled away and was
quickly taken up by some of the girls.
They sat and talked for a good couple hours
just catching up with old times and being made
aware of each others adventures in the time that
passed since they last saw each other.
Suddenly Shing Li turned and looked at Mae.
Mae had been sending her the thought question
"So how do you think we were able to travel here
so quickly? This place is a good 2000 kilometers
from your home."
Mae smiled. Shing Li had recognized the
question and the source. That was good. More and
more Shing Li was tuning in to what was her deep
inner self, and paying attention.
"Psong, Susan, can I ask you to stay here for
a while, maybe even a couple days, while I take
Shing Li for a trip?" Mae knew that now she could
deal with Shing Li. The "euphoria" was wearing off
and Shing Li had been doing some deep thinking.
Now was the time she would be receptive.
The answer came back from Psong and Susan that
they would be happy to stay. They would look after
the kids.
Reno and Amenti also knew what was up and
agreed to aid with the kids if needed.
With that Mae stood. "Come Shing Li, let's go
for a walk."
Shing Li stood. She had a perplexed look on
her face.
Mae laughed. "Don't worry Shing Li. We aren't
going anywhere dangerous."
Shing Li laughed too. "I know. I just don't
know what you are up to."
"Remember a while back I told you it was the
teacher who knew when the student was ready?"
"Yes."
"Well now I think we can do some things.
Come."
The two women walked down the road, slowly,
casually, talking all the way. After about a half
hour they were out of sight of the orphanage.
"Do you think the kids will be all right?"
"I can guarantee it, Shing Li. Would you like
to see where Reno and Amenti came from? They spent
a good deal of time in just such an orphanage
themselves. That is where they learned higher
law."
"I would like to see that."
"Hold onto my sleeve." The words were a
command.
Shing Li took hold of Mae's sleeve and the
instant she did the couple vanished.
They appeared at the home of Abetta and
Miguele in Matto Grosso, South America.
"Where is this place?"
"This is in South America, Shing Li. This city
is on the Amazon river. We are about half way
around the world from your home."
"How did we get here? How can we travel that
fast?"
"Do you remember how to manifest food?"
"Yes."
"Well, when you travel all you need do is see
the place you want to be, or see the person you
want to join, or tune in on the thoughts or
vibrations of a person or area you want to get to.
Then it is the same as manifesting food. All you
need do is see yourself in that place, believe it
and be there. I'll have you try taking us home. In
the meantime, I hope you like traveling that way.
It is sure easy."
"Yes, I like it. This is a foreign land to me.
Are the people nice?"
Just then the door swung open and Abetta came
running out. "Mae, Mae! It is so good to see you.
How are you? Come on in and have a cup of tea."
Abetta came running up to Mae and hugged her. "Who
is this pretty young lady?"
"Abetta, this is Shing Li. We just came from
China where Shing Li lives. Shing Li is learning
higher law. We were just over to visit the
orphanage where Reno and Amenti are working. I
asked Shing Li if she would like to see the
orphanage where those two kids came from and she
thought she might. Is Riata around?"
"Yes, yes. Come in. She is inside."
The three of them walked into the house which
was much cooler than the hot sun in which they had
been standing.
"Hello Riata!"
"Mae! How are you?" Riata got up from the
chair in which she had been sitting and came over
to kiss and hug Mae. "Shing Li, it is nice to meet
you. I hope you like our home. I'll take you over
to the orphanage later. I'm Riata."
Shing Li shook Riata's hand and felt the
powerful energy coming from it. She almost stepped
back from the shock of being called by name
without being introduced first. It surprised her.

railroad, and is told to meet the inspector at the
signal box.
The inspector decides to give Tom a pop quiz, asking,
"What would you do if you realized that two trains were
heading towards each other on the same track?" Tom
says, "I would switch one train to another track."
"What if the lever broke?" asks the inspector. "I'd run
down to the tracks and use the manual lever,"
answers Tom.
"What if that had been struck by lightning?" challenges
the inspector. "Then," Tom continues, "I'd run back up
here and use the phone to call the next signal box."
"What if the phone was busy?" "In that case," Tom
argues, "I'd run to the street level and use the public
phone near the station".
"What if that had been vandalized?" "Oh, well," says
Tom, "in that case I'd run into town and get my Uncle Leo."
This puzzles the inspector, so he asks, "Why would you do
that?"
"Because he's never seen a train crash!"
