How did alligators get in the sewers?
Well, according to the popular urban legend, baby
alligators purchased as pets often got flushed down the
toilet when they became too annoying. But there's no
proof that really happened. In the 1935 Harlem incident,
it was speculated that the eight-foot alligator escaped
from a passing boat in the harbor.
Were the sewer alligators albino and blind from living
underground?
That's what the legend says: the alligators in the New York
sewers became completely white and blind from lack of
sunlight. But there is absolutely no proof of that.

There's Too Much to Learn
With an Online Business

Argggghhhh......I've gone mad! Have you ever experienced that
before? After reading through hundreds of books and websites
on making money with a home business, that's the kind of
reaction I have.
Why? Because everybody says different things. One Guru
may say "Yes! Advertise in ezine solo ads - they're
effective," but you ask another "Master of All Knowledge"
and they'll say "Don't advertise in ezine solo-ads. No one
reads them anymore."
I'm quite amazed I haven't shot myself in the head after all
the garbage I've been through. Can't anyone out there
seriously tell me how it's done? I mean all I want to know is
how do people make money online in their business and
just show me the way.
I'm sure you feel the same way I did when I started out
attacking the world with my soon-to-be profitable business.
If you're in the majority of the people out there, you are
still going around in circles trying to find the best way to
advertise or find a good business to start with.
So what's the cure? The answer is (drum roll)...... choose the
person offering advice you're most comfortable with. Instead
of trying to learn everything, just choose one or two people
who you like and believe and read their stuff. And
finally.....do it!
A home business on the internet is like any other
business. It's not easier or quicker than a normal
business. It still requires knowledge and hard work. It's
worth noting that you should act like a Xerox machine
and copy everything your successful business
person does.
If the person you want to copy, builds their email leads
via some lead generation programs then do the same
thing. If the person thinks advertising using their
abnormal technique is better than what everyone else
uses then follow them.
Many beginners starting out with their home business
on the internet are reading so much information that
they don't do anything. They read around 10 ebooks,
read hundreds of forum posts, and after several months
they still have not done anything with their business.
Hell...they haven't even decided what to do yet. They're
so overwhelmed with the information.
What I do is choose a person that I respect and want to
be like. I look at their websites, emails, forum postings
and generally everything they do. However, instead of
just reading the materials, I also start up my word
processor and type everything I've learnt from them so
that the document becomes my bible.
For example, general points I have noted down during
the years from people I admire include:
- post on forums and include your URL in the signature...
a good way to get free traffic
- don't advertise or sell anything which you wouldn't
want yourself. A satisfied customer will get referrals for
you and also tend to buy other things you recommend
to them later on.
- testing is of utmost important. Always try and find ways
to improve your business and find out what works and
what doesn't
- persistence pays off. No one is an overnight success.
It's just that they don't advertise their failures
These are just a minute portion of the knowledge I
have gained
over the years from people I respect. It seems much
easier doesn't it? Just imagine having a mentor right at
the start of your home business. It would have shaved so
many months off your hard work and frustration.
So if you understand the main strategy that this article is
trying to tell you then please, please, please....don't wait.
Start doing what you know is right. Get out right now and
start copying people who are successful.

Here is another example and this is a very common one.
You always buy cigarettes for someone else, yet you
hate the effects of smoking. The smoke gets in your
hair and on your clothes. You make a decision that
smoking is bad for health and you will no longer be
involved. Now the usual request comes along and you
decline to cooperate. It will not be easy at first, but
it can happen. Substitute cigarettes for alcohol, or
other harmful substances…I learned this from women who
have to pay this out of the household budget. It is a
very difficult decision to stick to. But little by
little, you are trimming away excesses out of your life
by making conscious choices. And yes, you will
undoubtedly feel guilty, but not for long. The message
will be heard.

I spent some time on the website just now hoping to
bring you the precise link, but I couldn’t find the
article. I did have permission to use it, but it is too
long. Please do yourself a favour and find it. You can
do that by contacting the webmaster. I think it will
give you some very profound ways of dealing with
situations where most of us get caught up in “should I
do this even if I don’t really want to” guilt trip.
This could well help you find some hidden courage to be
yourself.
As you learn to trust yourself and your decisions, life
becomes much easier and more fun. It also allows you to
follow your own goals because you now have some. (And
please remember if you get closer to a chosen goal and
you find you don’t really like it, abandon it and
choose another.) And in many cases, this new courage
and goal releases the ties that have kept you from
moving toward your chosen, but probably silent dreams
or wishful thinking. Once you feel more enlightened and
courageous, you almost resent others when they give
“free” advice. In your newly discovered freedom of
choice, you also no longer expect the government to
look after you. Now you are ready to be completely
responsible. Scary but exciting! And this leads to

"Shing Li you must consider that when you live
by higher law it all happens at once. The moment
you are committed enough that you accept no
alternative, and the moment you learn the laws and
the way to implement them that is the moment you
have crossed over the veil, so to speak. At that
moment all of higher law is available to you. It
is only a matter of belief. It is as Jesus has
said "Whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer,
believing, ye shall receive." It is only that
simple. When you believe and doubt not, then all
these things shall come to pass."
"Mae taught me how to manifest food for
myself. I guess I have not thought about making it
work past that. Look at how you are providing food
for all the people here hundreds of them. That is
the same thing isn't it? It is just that you see
no limitations on what you can do. Isn't that
right?" Shing Li was opening her eyes. She was
beginning to see the full scope of what living by
higher law could mean.
"That's right" Riata agreed with her. Riata
knew what was going on in Shing Li's head. She
knew the growing that was going on, for she
remembered herself when Eloise had shown her the
way. The human mind takes a little while to absorb
the concept of having such power, absolute and
always available. The adjustment from wanting to
defend oneself against others, to one of wanting
to help others in spite of circumstances was a
hard concept to accept, absorb and practice on a
moment by moment basis at all times. Once one gets
their mind and head wrapped around that concept
and accepts it then things happen fast. But there
can be no residue left. It must be all love toward
your fellow man. There can be not one shred of
concern for your own life or things thereof.
Riata had projected those thoughts to Shing
Li. It was plain to see Shing Li was taking them
all in. It was also plain to see she was
enthralled by all she saw at the orphanage.
"Hello Shing Li. I see you are having a good
look at all that goes on here. Neat isn't it?"
Shing Li turned around to see a woman she had
never met before. "Y... you're, you're Mary, no
Maria, Maria Sanchez. That is what I am getting in
my mind. Your name is Maria Sanchez. Hello."
"Very good Shing Li. You and I have never met.
I am impressed how you listened to your inner self
and trusted. Yes, my name is Maria and I am happy
to meet you." Maria held out her hand.
Shing Li took it and was again impressed at
the power she felt from this hand. "I am just new
here. I am new to higher law. I am impressed with
this orphanage. Reno and Amenti have come from
good place."
"Oh, you know Reno and Amenti?"
"Yes. They are in my homeland running an
orphanage just like this one. They are doing well,
although they would like to have some visitors."
"I will go there right after we part. I miss
Reno. She is the little girl whose faith was so
strong it taught me the truth. I love that little
girl and I miss her not being here. I will go
visit her, right away."
"So, Riata, this place just never stops, does
it. So long as I have been coming here I have
never seen it any different. It's wonderful how
the people love to worship at the shrine."
"I think it's wonderful too. Hello girls.
How are you?"
All three turned to see Eloise. Riata and
Maria ran to her and hugged her. Welcome Missy. It
is so good to see you. What are you doing here?"
"Oh, I heard you using my name and I thought I
would come visit. I haven't seen you for so long I
wanted to see how you were. And you are Shing Li,
Mae's friend. My name is Eloise. Most of these
folks call me Missy. I'm glad you came here with
Mae, Shing Li. I haven't seen Mae for a while
either. I might just go over to the house with you
when you leave."
Shing Li took Eloise's outstretched hand.
Again she felt the power. It ran throughout her
body, energizing her. "Miss Eloise, I have heard
about you from Miss Mae and from Miss Susan. You
are their friend. They have come to my home and
helped me out. I was without husband, food, money,
home. They helped me much."
"Yes, Shing Li. They are fine and wonderful
people. They help many, just as I hope you will.
That is our work. When you live by higher law that
is what you shall do, help others, the world over.
Nothing will give you greater pleasure than to
help mankind in his time of need. Occasionally
you will find someone who will listen and you can
show them the way. Your life will be forever
changed, Shing Li." Eloise broadcast a strong love
unto Shing Li.
"That is what I want, Miss Eloise. I want to
be like Mae and Miss Susan."
"That decision is yours alone, Shing Li."
