Who are the six wives of Henry VIII?
Who are the "Fantastic Four"?

ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
Did Cleopatra have children with Marc Antony?
Yes, she did. There were three: Alexander Helios, his twin
sister Cleopatra Selene, and Ptolemy Philadelphus. After the
deaths of Marc Antony and Cleopatra, it's thought that the
children were raised by Marc Antony's third wife, Octavia.
Cleopatra also had a son, Caesarion (Ptolemy Caesar), by
Julius Caesar. Since he was viewed as a threat, he was
murdered by the Romans after Cleopatra's death.
What are the ten systems of the human body?
All the organs and processes of the human body belong in one
of ten anatomical categories. They are (in alphabetical
order): Circulatory, Digestive, Endocrine, Excretory,
Integumentary (skin), Muscular, Nervous, Reproductive,
Respiratory, and Skeletal.

Online Traffic Surges In Katrina's Wake
by Shankar Gupta
HURRICANE KATRINA FUELED TRAFFIC TO news and
weather sites as well as blogs this week, with millions
flocking to such sites to learn more about the category five
storm. MSNBC.com reported a record 9 million individual
streams of video footage of the hurricane. The previous
single-day record was set by the space shuttle landing
earlier this month, which was streamed 5.3 million times.
Weather.com also reported high traffic numbers--according to
their internal reporting, on Monday, the site saw 7 million
unique users, the second-highest day in the history of the
site. The highest traffic numbers in the site's
history--7.15 million--came during hurricane Ivan in
September of last year.
Both MSNBC.com and Weather.com ran their regularly scheduled
ads on the sites. An MSNBC.com spokeswoman added that no
marketers voiced objections to having their ads run next to
coverage of the devastation.
Research company Keynote reported Tuesday that Weather.com
saw a slight reduction of availability--some missing graphic
content pushed the site's full content availability down to
62 percent for 35 minutes at around 7:00 a.m. on Monday.
Availability of the base page remained between 98 and 100
for the duration of the readership surge. Keynote's Tuesday
report corrected one issued the day before stating that
Weather.com was largely unavailable for several hours on
Sunday.
The blogosphere also covered Katrina extensively. According
to Intelliseek's BlogPulse tool, Hurricane Katrina was
discussed in roughly 2.5 percent of all blog posts on
Monday, and four out of the five most-linked posts and three
of the five most-linked news stories on Monday were about
Katrina.

Your Immune System: Delicate Yet Critical
How It Serves You And Why You Need To Keep It Healthy
PART 8 of 12
The immune system also plays a crucial role in your ability
to weather exposure to parasites, bacteria, viruses, toxins,
and other hazards that interact daily with your body. Your
body's struggle against disease is played out twenty four
hours a day, seven days a week, in each and every individual
cell. Your immune system meets innumerable challenges and
overcomes countless enemies throughout your lifetime.
Although your Immune System is seen to be completely
supportive, it does have a negative component. This it the
"auto-immune" activity. This occurs when the body doesn't
appear to like itself and tries to attack its own cells, as
in the case of lupus or scleroderma. There is controversy
about its possible existence, cause, and treatment.
Traditional treatment calls for more chemicals, resulting in
more free radicals. Are you beginning to see the
connections? There are children who have a very limited
(compromised) immune system. They have to spend their entire
lives in very protective environments so as to avoid
exposure to potential life-threatening organisms.
How would you overload or cause your immune system to
malfunction? Simply by using up its supply of antioxidants
at a rate higher than what your body is being supplied with.
In other words, what you eat doesn't supply enough nutrients
to power the system consistently or adequately. So the
carrot you eat, provides some antioxidants. The chocolate
bar you snack on provides elements that the body wants to
get rid of, especially sugars.
Unfortunately, you are not the only contributor to "neglect"
in your body. Other situations that add to this
deterioration are chemicals, and irritants such as molds,
pollens, etc. These are not natural to your body. They may
be common, but they are not "of the body". They may be going
into your body, on it, or being inhaled. Your eyes, nose,
throat, skin, etc. are all entry points. They are those
unpleasant "noxious" smells you breathe, your headache
medication, your calorie-reduced drinks, surgery and all its
related drugs, some types of fillings in your teeth, the
implants in your bones, the fluorescent lights in your
environment...the list goes on. They all contribute to this
unwanted demand in your body. And what about the unnatural
amount of salt or the preservatives you find in your
prepared foods that enhance taste, freshness, and
appearance. (We ask for them because we want our foods to
look great and be tasty.)

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .
----------------
It was obvious the cardinal had a problem, a
big one. He had no idea what was happening or of
the extent of the problem. At this point he felt
it only involved him and his office. He decided to
attend upon the church attached to his office. as
he did he met a priest and their shields melded.
"Father John! What is happening? Where are the
others? Why can we not speak to the people?"
"Sir, there are others in the chapel. They
await your instructions." The priest did not tell
the cardinal of tribal like warfare that was
mounting within the chapel.
The cardinal entered and at first did not
realize what was happening. Then his shield melded
with those of others. The entire room was filled
with priests. The fear was so prevalent it could
be felt.
The cardinal remembered back a few years when
this kind of thing occurred to his predecessors.
The fear was king then, too. Today he could hardly
believe his eyes and ears. His priests were
fighting like they were children, right down to
slugging one another. Fear came upon him as if it
were a cloak, covering him and all that was his.
His heart fluttered, his stomach wretched.
Instantly others were on him. If anyone cold
lead them out of this mess, he could.
In truth he was weak and completely powerless
against this force that confounded them. What was
this force? Because he did not know what was
happening, he appeared, in his mind, foolish. This
compounded when the priests began demanding
answers. One would think they would be reasonable
and be able to form cohesion. They were not. Each
was fearful and did not trust the other. Hence
chaos.
The chapel was filling up more and more.
Priests from miles around were making their way
here as if by prearranged signal. They somehow
felt there would be answers here. Each was
disappointed. None of those they saw as leaders
had any answers. None knew where to go or what to
do. Finally the chapel was full.
Suddenly the building was lit up as if the sun
was inside. That stopped everyone in their tracks
and actions. Sam was doing what Riata did so many
years ago.
The collection of priests saw nothing but
light. Sam caused himself to be at the front of
the chapel. He raised his arms and the light
subsided enough that the priests could see him.
Some priests had been here for years and
remember when this happened so many years ago.
The bulk of the men were afraid. That also
included the cardinal. He, too, remembered the
last event.
He cowered. He did not know what to expect. He
thought he should stand and exercise his authority
but he was fearful. He stood anyway and began to
speak. Sam pointed at him and the cardinal fell as
if hit by a hammer. He collapsed where he was, yet
remained fully conscious. No one came to his aid.
"Under the guise of doing God's work you have
milked the people of prosperity, That which God
gives you take away. You are all false prophets.
The shrine gives without asking. You give but your
hand is out. You lead the people on by guilt. You
know not love and you know not your Maker's ways
or will. You are charlatans, each of you. Your
cardinal has plotted against mankind for the sole
purpose of gathering as much money as he can. That
way Rome will think well of him and promote him.
He is a lame excuse for a man. He is no leader,
has no morals and causes you to follow his
dictates only that he might gain. He has no
interest in serving the people. Neither has any in
this room. None of you follow what Jesus told you
to do. None in this room listens to their Maker,
within. None here wants anything but for
themselves only."
Sam brought his hands together and there was a
ferocious noise. None were left standing when it
subsided. "Some in this room remember the last
time an event like this occurred. You knew then
and you know now it happened because you were
plotting to take over the shrine and the orphanage
against the will of those involved. Indeed, your
cardinal here resorted even to murder, which is
how the shrine got it's beginnings. Your plotting
to take the prosperity from the people by
surrounding it with places to consult the people
and require money from them has now come to an
end. You, from this day shall have no parishioners
in any of your churches, except only when you
serve without any thought of what you might get in
return. It is only those of you who give this
freely, wanting not even so much as a 'thank you'
for your efforts who will begin to gather a church
around you. Make one request of the people and you
shall lose all you have gained. Further, each of
you has taken a vow of celibacy. That was a
serious matter for unto that you pledged your
life. Not one in this room has lived up to that
vow. From this day you shall have excruciating,
unbearable pain in your groin if you even so much
as appreciate the idea of sex in any of its forms.
That pain shall remain five minutes the first time
and shall increase one minute for each time you do
it." Sam's voice was that of authority.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?
Kangaroo: how did the "kangaroo" get its name?
Captain James Cook, who discovered Australia, asked the
tribesmen of the Endeavor River region the name of the
animal. They answered "Kangaroo." Whether that was the name
of the animal itself or just an answere signifying "I don't
know" is something that we don't know.
Tomorrow: Lackadaisical: Why do we say a lazy, dawdling person is
"lackadaisical"?

HA! HA! HA!
An old Wild West fort is about to be attacked. The wily old
General sends for his trusty Indian Scout. "You must use
all your thirty years of skill in trying to estimate the
sort of army we are up against here."
The trusty Indian Scout laid down and put his ear to the
ground. "Heap large war party," he says, "maybe three
hundred braves, four chiefs, two on black stallions, two on
white stallions. All have war paint. Many many guns.
Medicine man also with them."
"Good grief!" exclaims the General, "you can tell all of
that just by listening to the ground?"
"No," replied the Indian, "I can see under the gate."
