TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -
-----------------------
What color diamond is the rarest?
Do eyes change size as we age?
--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
Are diamonds the most valuable gemstone?
This is another myth. Diamonds are very valuable, but they
are not the most rare or most valuable gemstones out there.
A large pure red ruby is actually more rare and valuable
than a large diamond of any color.
If you burn a diamond, will it turn to coal?
No. Diamonds do not revert to coal when burned at a high
temperature. They simply burn up and disappear, forming
carbon dioxide gas. You won't even find ash.

STRANGE BITS AND PIECES!
In 1952, Private George Jorgenson was the first person to
receive a sex change. The US army soldier thought he was a
woman that was trapped in a man's body. Christian
Hamburger, a Danish doctor performed the sex change, and
George Jorgenson changed his name to Christine Jorgenson.

Apple, Motorola & Cingular debut world's first iTunes mobile
phone
Apple, Motorola and Cingular Wireless Wednesday announced
the availability of the world's first mobile phone with
iTunes, enabling music lovers to transfer up to 100 of their
favorite songs from the iTunes jukebox on their Mac or PC to
their mobile phone. Apple's iTunes software on the Motorola
ROKR features easy to use menus, simple navigation and
playback, and the ability to simply switch from phone to
music and back again with the push of a dedicated music key.
The new Motorola ROKR is available today at
http://www.cingular.com and will be sold exclusively in all
Cingular retail locations beginning tomorrow.
"We've worked closely with Motorola to deliver the world's
best music experience on a mobile phone," said Steve Jobs,
Apple's CEO in the press release. "We're also thrilled to be
working with Cingular, the largest wireless carrier in the
US, to bring this pioneering phone to market."
"The ROKR brings music to the mobile phone in a way unlike
any other, with the unrivaled ease of use that has become
the signature of iTunes," said Ed Zander, chairman and CEO
of Motorola in the press release. "We predict that the ROKR
is going to be a hit this holiday season."
"We're excited to be the first wireless carrier to offer the
world's first phone with iTunes to our customers
nationwide," said Ralph de la Vega, chief operating officer
of Cingular Wireless in the press release. "This innovative
product represents a world class handset, connected to a
world class network, delivering a world class application."
The new Motorola ROKR has a color display for viewing album
art and features built-in dual-stereo speakers, as well as
stereo headphones that also serve as a mobile headset with
microphone. Music fans can randomly autofill or manually
fill the mobile phone with playlists from their favorite
music, audiobooks and Podcasts from their iTunes library via
a USB connection. The Motorola ROKR pauses music
automatically when users take a call and offers the ability
to listen to music while messaging with friends or snapping
a photo.
The new Motorola ROKR with iTunes pre-installed is available
for $249.99 (US) with a two-year commitment at all Cingular
stores nationwide and includes stereo headphones and a USB
cable. iTunes for Mac and Windows includes the iTunes Music

What Is Health? What Is Wellness?
Some Concepts To Consider
PART 3 of 5
If you have kept abreast of environmental information in the
last few years, you would be somewhat concerned. Our air and
water pollution has increased. The sun is much stronger and more
harmful as its rays are not filtered as much by a shrinking
ozone layer. The use of pesticides and antibiotics has
increased. Fast-paced lifestyles require prepared
(over-processed foods) that have little or no nutritional value,
and lots of preservatives and additives. We wash with chemicals.
We brush and shampoo with them. We drink them and put them on
our skin all day long. Busy lives are stress-filled and leave
little room for relaxation. The list can go on ...these tax your
immune system tremendously.
So good nutrition has become a very important part of your
everyday decision process. It will provide your body with the
energy and strength, and the building blocks it needs. As well
it will provide the means or the ability to heal and fight off
infections and diseases. Poor nutrition causes fatigue, weight
loss, and subsequently you are unable to give your best effort.
It allows the degenerative process to get a foothold.
There are many nutrients that your body needs every day. Can you
figure out what is missing? I can't. If you can't get all the
required nutrients through diet, nutritional supplements may be
needed to support your body against these chronic (degenerative)
diseases that are just waiting to attack. Maybe you are just
hoping to get back some energy. When you provide your body with
nutrients at optimal levels, the body is able to function at a
high level and it will result in better health.
Biochemical research now enables us to determine what is
happening in every part of every cell. The very essence of
degenerative diseases is coming to light. This same research is
also revealing that oxygen that is so necessary for life has a
dark (or less pleasant) side to it. In many ways, our activities
end up as oxidative stress. This is now being recognized as
causing one or more of these degenerative diseases. It is also a
well-known fact that degenerative diseases are preventable. The
prevention of the progressive discomfort and end stages of many
of these diseases makes it well worthwhile for you to consider
some preventable measures now. Even the American Medical
Association has published some interesting studies.

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

"There shall be no transfers, either of a
priest or of any of the women. If you have called
for one within the last two months, then that
person shall be called back and fully restored to
their position."
These men were not trying to be "good". They
knew the cardinal had transferred a nun. She was
the prettiest of them all and they wanted her
back. They also knew the cardinal was making plans
to have each of them transferred. That was the
cardinal's way of maintaining control. It was the
old "divide and conquer" principle used by many
leaders, especially dictators. The principle
merely said that if people can't get together to
talk and make plans they cannot then become a
force. Keep them separated and you have control.
It was even taught at seminary and it was how they
controlled their "Boards of Elders", those people
elected to oversee the operations of the church.
So long as you could keep those people busy
thinking they were of service, good. But if one
became knowledgeable and saw through the control
structure, and was disenchanted, then you
implemented the divide and conquer principle. All
these things a priest is taught that he may
maintain what Rome wants.
The cardinal was sick. He had a knot in his
belly that felt like a lead weight. He did not
know what was next although he did know he was
lost. He thought to fight, but knew he was
outnumbered and that they would use his guilt
against him as they had been taught. Now his
jurisdiction would be run by them. He would
be a figurehead and that only so long as they
wanted. They may well put him in retreat and hold
him there for years.
He began to think on that one point. He had
fears of being locked up, of being alone. He
wanted to run.
"You will run this church as you have always
done, but before you take any decision you will
speak with us. You will carry out the decisions we
give you. That you dislike them is of no import.
You will do as we tell you. If you do not, then we
have many ways to deal with you. You will suddenly
become ill and have to go on retreat, or we will
simply advise Rome of your actions. Regardless
your authority is over. Is that understood?"
The cardinal lowered his head and nodded. He
knew it was over.
The church carried on like that for months.
There was still no revenue. The young idealists
were becoming agitated and angry. In the outlying
parishes the young priests were looking into the
teachings of Jesus. They were all studying,
reading, trying to understand. They had a huge
mountain of indoctrination to overcome. Yet they
were looking.
From time to time one would show up,
unannounced, at the shrine. They were seeking
council, peace, answers. Each left the shrine
feeling they were gaining ground. They had no
examples in front of them, that is to say none
they were yet ready to believe. They were
wrestling within themselves about whether the
sighting in the chapel was a dream or was it a
true spiritual event. One thing was clear to them.
The more they began to explain to their
parishioners what they thought Jesus taught, the
more their parishioners attended and the more
their revenues were. Eventually one of them had
enough money to send some up the line to the
cardinal's office.
The instant that parcel arrived it was known
throughout the office. The cardinal knew that
finally some money arrived. So did his bosses.
The bosses decided to have one of them visit
the parish from which they received their first
monies in months. They wanted to find out what
that priest was doing.
Sure enough he was moving away from the
doctrine of the church. He was teaching forbidden
teachings. He was going against Rome. They were in
fear of him teaching the people how to think.
Thinking people do not need the church. They soon
come to see the church for what it really is and
they leave. That did not seem to bother this
particular priest. He was finally feeling he was
doing what he joined the church to do. It was the
church that was behind, not him.
The emissary scolded him, advised him to get
back to doctrine. He threatened the young priest
with obscurity if he did not follow the dictates
of Rome and from the cardinal's office. As of yet
neither the young priest or any priest within the
cardinal's region knew of the present leadership
condition.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?
Rabbit Punch: why do we call a punch behind the ear in
boxing a "rabbit punch"?
Because at one time a poacher catching a rabbit in a snare
which in itself had not killed the animal would kill it with
a blow on the back of the neck.
Tomorrow: Sabotage: Where does the word "sabotage" come from?

HA! HA! HA!
One summer evening during a violent thunderstorm a mother
was tucking her son into bed. She was about to turn off the
light when he asked with a tremor in his voice,
"Mommy, will you sleep with me tonight?"
The mother smiled and gave him a reassuring hug. "I can't
dear," she said.
"I have to sleep in Daddy's room."
A long silence was broken at last by his shaky little voice:
"The big sissy."
