Can anything go faster than the speed of light?

Well, we always thought the answer to that was a definite
NO. However, scientists reported in 2000 that they had
exceeded the cosmic speed limit. In a landmark experiment,
they caused a light pulse to travel at many times the speed
of light, so fast that the peak of the pulse exited a
specially prepared test chamber before it even finished
entering it. According to the scientists, the results are
"not at odds with Einstein," though on the surface they
appear to contradict his theory of relativity, which holds
that the speed of light in a vacuum (about 186,000 miles per
second) is the fastest anything can go. Said Lijun Wang, one
of the scientists at the NEC Research Institute in
Princeton, NJ, who conducted the experiment: "Our experiment
does show that the generally held misconception that
'nothing can move faster than the speed of light' is wrong."
Nothing with mass can exceed the light-speed limit. But
physicists now believe that a pulse of light, which is a
group of massless individual waves, can.

Who discovered the speed of light?

French physicist Armand Fizeau was the first to approximate
the speed of light. In 1849, he obtained a value for the
speed of light that was about five percent too high. Jean
Foucault obtained the first accurate measurement (within
just one percent of the correct speed) in 1862.

Here's To Think On ...
with Ken Darby
------------------------------------

You Thought You Had It Right!

St. Peter and Satan were having an argument one day about
baseball. Satan proposed a game to be played on neutral
grounds between a select team from the heavenly host and his
own hand-picked boys.

"Very well," said the gatekeeper of Heaven. "But you
realize, I hope, that we've got all the good players and the
best coaches."

"I know, and that's all right," Satan answered. "We've got
all the umpires!"

How many times in life have you felt all things were running
right only to suddenly have disaster hit and you lose it
all?

That's what happens in man's world. Life is going along just
fine and you are happy and content and then, from out of
nowhere, you get hit.

That could be anything from the bank telling you that they
have made a big mistake and have been depositing someone
else's money in your account, to a tornado ripping through
everything you own, to being told you have a fatal disease,
to your partner telling you they are leaving, to being about
to retire and the company goes bankrupt.

Just when you think you are about to enjoy all you have
worked for, just when you think everything is finally okay,
just when you least expect it, something comes along and
let's you know you must start over.

Life is like that. And it is so for a very good reason.
These things happen to teach us that our relationship with
our Maker starts on the inside. The sooner we realize that,
the sooner we avoid all the difficulties life throws at us,
or are forewarned they are coming so you can prepare, or are
shown the way to recovery.

Life can never and will never be perfect until you develop
that one on one real relationship with your Maker, inside
you. Learn to still your mind. Learn to quite your "inner
conversation". Learn to listen to what you are being told on
the inside and then life can throw no curve you cannot, with
ease, handle.

Some people become impatient, because reaching this "place"
takes time and work. It does not just "happen". It must be
learned, like going through the school system from grade one
to grade twelve. It takes a commitment.

Spending just one hour a day, in quiet meditation, will
result in miracles. Learn to sit quietly and have no words
flowing through your mind, just watch, see, look, search,
you will find what you are looking for - peace, contentment,
"knowing" and the resultant power to accomplish.

It takes many days, weeks, months of daily practice. Nothing
you could ever do with your life will ever result in more
for you than this daily expenditure of time. Indeed, when
the practice becomes a habit you are well on the way.

Some of you may say you have not the time. Then you will not
receive the rewards. The law is that "What ye give, ye shall
receive." In all things we must pay a price. Pay this one
and your life will become much more than blessed. Fail to
pay and you subject yourself to that old condition -

You Thought You Had It Right!

Some Thoughts On Chelation Therapy
Learning About Possible
Metal Toxicity In Your Body
PART 3 of 11

If you are honest with yourself, you are already doing
things that are somewhat similar. Any drug you put into your
body via a medication uses the concept of changing the
internal chemistry of your body. In this case, you are not
drawing out, but I think you are binding to other chemicals
to get a different outcome or result. These could be
alcohol, cigarettes, antidepressants, sleep meds, high blood
pressure meds or cholesterol lowering drugs. They would
include all prescribed, over the counter ones (OTC) and
recreational ones. It would include herbal products as well.
You really can’t get away from the idea that you are
altering your internal reactions. Chelation is another way,
but it’s a little scary in that relatively few people have
participated in the procedure, and some have not had good
outcomes.

So in considering chelation, it’s not as though you are
doing something unusual: just something uncommon. And that
would also have originated with someone taking a risk to try
this, to start the whole concept.

I wanted to find out what sorts of things could be “handled”
by chelation so I took the phrase "uses for chelation
therapy" and found a few more defined sites. I don’t know if
you have ever done this, but I find the HTML codes a bit
distracting when I want pure information. So in this case I
copied the entire Google.com page of sites into Outlook
Express, converted it to plain text and then re-converted it
back into HTML. (I thought I was really clever to discover
this procedure! I still have the URLs in case I want to go
back for more details.) Then in several further steps, I
proceeded to delete all the extra words and spacing, and
came up with a more complete list of conditions that suggest
a use for chelation. If you are interested in the
information, use this link and do the same.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

<><><><>

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby

--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts

The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.

"You know, Sam, even already. Yet you will
find more and more situations as you go along.
Your idea to have these orphanages exchange visits
was brilliant. It will go a very long way to
having these young people live by higher law, in
peace and prosperity. Thank you, Sam."

"Thank you Sien. I am not, however, the
inventor. I am and always will be only the
messenger."

"I know, Sam. Yet you implemented the idea and
it is working great. Even look at the kids here
now, from Matto Grosso."

"He's right, Sam. That was a terrific idea. I
love to work with these kids. Each is so keen on
learning and finding things out. Good work."

"Thank you, Ben."

The three men chatted away for hours. It was a
real bonding session where each loved and
respected the other and all had much in common.
Even Ben Striker, who had not yet blossomed out
into doing a lot, toward aiding mankind in all his
troubles, was now taking an interest in the
affairs of which Sien and Sam were speaking.

Ben's wife, Helen, was off with Eloise and
Alewka doing something. Ben assumed it would be
something to do with kids and family.

As they were speaking Boolanga walked up to
them and joined in. Later they were joined by
Mazunta and Romano. David Wiley had finished his
chores and witnessed the group of guys that had
gathered. He sauntered over to join in the
conversation.

"Hi, David! It is good to see you. Say, I
wanted to compliment you on that terrific statue
you created in Pinehill. I hear people talking
about it and it is doing a fine job of bringing
folks closer to their Maker. Thank you that was
wonderful work."

"Thanks, Sien. I had almost forgotten about
it. When the city fathers asked I guess I just
used it as an opportunity to give back to the
community that raised me. The statue will serve
them forever and will always be a centerpiece in
town."

"You're right there, David." Ben was affirming
what David had said. "Everywhere I go folks are
talking about the statue and how Old Pete is still
serving our community. I hope they all learn the
lessons that statue has for them."

"That would be great wouldn't it." David
responded.

"So, Dave, it looks like your Mother has
developed a wanderlust. She and Susan Miles have
sure walked China. They seem to have enjoyed it."

"She has and they have, Sien. Mom was telling
me about your place in China. Sounds like a place
I'd like to visit."

"Come anytime you want, David. You are always
welcome. Not a day goes by without us having
visitors from all over. Please, you and Pam, come
visit. Bring the kids. Hey! Good work with those
children. They will both live by higher law within
the year. Good work. You, too, Boolanga. I've been
watching you and your family. They are all
developing just as you want. Good work."

Boolanga did not know it, for Sien kept it
from him, but the purpose of Sien's visit was to
help Boolanga's oldest son, Boolong, cross over
the veil of simplicity into higher law. It was his
time.

From time to time folks wonder why they
encounter the problems and difficulties in life
that they do. Sien was about to place an
impediment in Boolong's way that he would be
forced to make a decision, old way or higher law.
Sien knew which way the boy would choose and now
was the time he would have to make that decision,
much like Hemno so long ago in the plains of
Africa. As nice as it was to live in this village,
there were too few problems. The kids would
usually get into nothing worse than stubbing a toe
or getting an insect bite. Sien knew that for
Boolong to grow he needed a challenge and he
needed to be resourceful enough to take action.

The conversation between this group of men
continued. Before long it was suppertime. The day
had passed so quickly they hardly knew it. It had
proven to be one of those rare times in a man's
life when, somehow, his soul was one with the
others in the group. No one wanted that to stop.

However, just as you might expect, being
suppertime, there were some women looking for
their men. The ladies knew where their men were
and what they were doing. Eloise had sent them all
a message so none would call out to get the men
home for supper. Instead they had all gathered
down at the river and filled containers with water
from the river. Then they all, with the containers
hidden behind their backs, walked casually up to
the men.

REMEMBER! - IF YOU SEE IT IN thePEBBLE - IT IS SO!

Man must learn to step out of his present rut. To look at all the
things that are possible, to glance, even once, at the glories
that are available to him, can show him his possibilities. Take
that chance to step out of yourself into the realm of possibilities
and then make your choice on who and what you shall be. Let
us pray that money is not the object of your dreams for that
will limit you severely.
