Who is the "Soap Lady"?
No, she doesn't collect soaps. The "Soap Lady" IS soap.
You'll find her on South 22nd Street in downtown
Philadelphia's Mutter Museum, located inside the stately
College of Physicians and Surgeons. The museum is a
repository of America's most bizarre medical oddities. The
Soap Lady was an obese woman who, underground and buried,
decomposed into a waxy gray substance called adipocere. She
was purchased by the museum for $7.50 when Philadelphia's
old cemetery was moved in 1875. Chemical properties in the
soil of this particular Philadelphia graveyard turned its
corpses into soap. "Soap Man" from the same graveyard is
stored at The Smithsonian.
Does hair grow in darker after it has been shaved?
This is a common myth, but not at all true. Hair color is
determined by genetics, and shaving can't change that.
However, your hair may APPEAR darker after shaving if the
hair you shaved off had been lightened by age and exposure
to sun. The shaving didn't darken the hair, but the new hair
hasn't been around long enough to fade. Shaving also does
not affect the THICKNESS of hair. That's genetics too.

Go Big Or Go Home!
"Make no little plans, they have no magic to stir your
blood... MAKE BIG PLANS. Aim high in hope and work.…" So
wrote Daniel H. Burnham in the last century. The big plans
are important. They capture your vision. The next step is to
break them down into "do-able" chunks, chunks that can be
done in even one day. That is what gives you a definite
sense of accomplishment, isn't it? The big plans are
necessary, the baby steps, imperative!
My daughter shared a marketing tip with me the other day.
She said, "Go big, or go home". I thought about this quite a
bit as it seemed so brash and arrogant. Great slogan, but
what about the little guy? Then, it all made sense. Each
person has the opportunity to define ‘big’ for herself. If
we are to live our dreams and visions about how we want our
lives to be, how we want to be remembered, what our
contribution to our daily world could be, it IS true. Go big
or go home!
Have a vision. Have a master plan for your whole life as you
presently see it. What would you like to be doing,
experiencing, being or having in your life, sometime in your
life? What are the things that are most important,
significant and valuable to you? That's big!
After you have created the "big picture" then you can decide
what you would like to create immediately and pay attention
to that. Timing is only one difference between short and
long term goals. Another important difference is that short
term goals lead directly to long term goals which fit
perfectly into the master plan. And the good news is....you
are in charge! You can change your master plan, and your
approach to it, as your interests and priorities shift and
grow. You are not locked in. A master plan is a plan for joy
and passion, not a plan for duty and obligation.
It is useful to break your goals down into three categories:
current, near future and far future. Once you have put your
future goals into your subconscious mind, they are begun. It
is not only action that is required. Keeping your goals in
the forefront of your mind is key. Thoughtfully craft your
current goals. Know how you will measure your success and
plan for it.
Think big! Think limitlessly. Think "out of the box". People
are often limited by their minds unwillingness to stretch.
Remember what Napoleon Hill said: "...if you can conceive
it, and believe it, you can achieve it!"
If you find yourself surrounded by people who are ‘thinking
little’ it might be difficult to find support and acceptance
for your big plans. You may have to include some new
associates who want to play ‘big’, too! You have probably
heard that, if you want to run with the big dogs, you have
to get off the porch! Jump off that porch and get running!
Reflect on the biggest view of your life--your master plan.
Is it big enough for you? Does it cause you to stretch to
get your arms around it? If not, think a little bigger and
see where it takes you. If it does, be sure you have planned
the route that will get you there. Then, follow it. As you
embark on each task today, ask yourself, "Am I on the road
to my vision by doing this?" If not, make a correction.
Go big or go home! That one little phrase keeps me on my
toes.

Let me ask you some questions. Do you think a doctor
knows all his mechanic tells him about his car when it
goes in for repairs? I doubt it or they would fix it
themselves. Do you not think the doctor asks many
questions in order to understand what might happen to
the car if repairs are needed? Or not done? Of course.
What is the point of all these questions between the
doctor and the mechanic? To ascertain if the mechanic
is qualified to work on the car. Do you not think your
health and body might be a whole lot more important
than a car? Thrust me, it is! Would the doctor allow
the mechanic to work on the car if they didn’t have
faith and trust that it would be done correctly? Never!
Questions and answers allow for trust and faith and a
degree of comfort to be shared. How can the doctor know
you don’t have this faith and trust in their ability of
you don’t question anything? Ask permission and explain
why you need to understand. Remember it is your right
to know: to UNDERSTAND what it all means. You don’t
need to understand all the complex details. You simply
need to figure out that this person knows what they are
talking about and can make you feel they have your
interest in mind.
When I work with people who have symptoms that gather
under the overall term of “Meniere’s”, I wish I had a
dollar for every person who tells me they are under the
care of the top “so and so” in North America or of this
hospital or this medical center. That is fine; just
have them explain what is happening to YOUR body. Base
your decision on your own findings.

I see President Bush is a little concerned about having a
house led or dominated by Democrats. Some say he fears
impeachment.
As I look at the press today it is filled with stories of
how 9/11 was not what we were led to believe. There are
stories of where President Bush has done and said things
that are not correct.
The overall scene is somewhat disconcerting for we not only
have war overseas but it would appear as if there is an
ideological war coming to our homes.
All this is unsettling. I had a discussion with a young
friend the other day and he was visibly upset over the
possibility 9/11 was an "inside" job. He was just coming to
terms with the notion that money people, power people may
well have set that up to create more money. War makes money.
Unrest permits control of the people. Power brokers have
understood that since the beginning of time.
That is one of the reasons why you have organizations with
secrets. That very point permits the organization to have
power and control over the rest of us. It is being done by
religious institutions, by government and by anyone who
wants to control the people. Another and obvious method of
control is by the gun, but that is done mostly by the
ignorant who have little or no intellectual capacity.
Get in a place where you can create unrest and you control
the outcome. It's a derivative of the old "divide and
conquer" principle.
The Democrats will do all in their power to gain control of
the house. Then look out. I see them as doing everything in
their power to impeach President Bush. That will occupy the
airwaves and all of our time for the next two to three
years. In the meantime the war in Iraq will not go well,
there will be trouble with North Korea and likely with Iran.
The US will be weakened from without and from within and all
the while those living in North America will have that
little gnawing knot of fear in their belly, not knowing
which way these things will settle out.
That means you. It means you will not properly rest at
nights. It means you will have more things to worry about
and you will always have this thing gnawing at your psyche.
It means you will not have peace and you will not be able to
make clear headed decisions because you will always be
looking at the world through these "tinted" glasses. The
"tint" will be fear, worry, concern created by all these
events, and you will be unable to get away from it.
Learn the lesson that peace is available to you in your time
and that once you make the decision to find inner peace,
peace of mind, then your life will go better and be more
prosperous.
Peace and prosperity can be yours right where you are. That
is what the story The Saga of Pinehill is about, a blueprint

Handicap: Where does the word "handicap" come from?
The word comes from the usual procedure in drawing lots.
Slips of paper are placed in a hat or "cap" and each person
in turn draws one out by placing his"hand i' the cap". This
practice is still followed in drawing for position in a
horse race. Slips bearing the names of the horses are drawn
from a hat and the first horse drawn gets the position next
to the rail, the second horse gets the next position and so
on.
