Single Mindedness Of Purpose!
While walking through a parking lot, I tripped and fell flat
on my face. As I was lying there, a woman stopped her
car and called out, "Are you hurt?"
"No, I'm fine," I said, touched by her concern.
"Oh, good," she continued. "So will you be vacating
your parking space now?"
"Gee! Thanks lady!", is my immediate reaction. But it
shows this lady is going to get done what she started
out to do. She is single minded in her purpose and is
not going to let much get in the way.
That is actually the way to get things done, although
there are some times and places where we need not
be as obvious about it as the lady in the joke.
Keep in mind that the best way, indeed the only way
for some, to reach a big objective, is to keep it in
mind to the exclusion of all else. Focusing on that
objective and never giving up will cause it to come
into reality. No other manner is given to man. That is
the only way.
So how do you reconcile that single mindedness of
purpose with your other chores, tasks and duties,
such as those at home?
Separate your day into "time capsules" within which
is the task for the capsule. Concentrate on that capsule,
while there, until that task is complete, then move to the
next capsule. Do not carry over events from one
capsule to another. Keep them clean and separate.
That way you will be able to enjoy the events of each
capsule.
Doing this will contribute much to your health,
happiness, prosperity and your day.
Remember to enjoy all things in each capsule. If I am
correct it is likely your major objective will occupy the
largest capsule of the day. That's good. That is to say
it is good if you are concentrating on reaching your
objective all during that particular capsule. If you use
it for play and other things then you need an attitude
adjustment regarding single mindedness of purpose.
Thus man progresses. Without single mindedness of
purpose he is floating through each day subject,
entirely, to the whims of others. Developing single
mindedness of purpose the route to happiness and
prosperity. There is no other.

Anaphylaxis: A Medical Emergency

The reason I want you to understand this whole process
of reactions, is because while this is the body’s
normal reaction to an intruder, sometimes it reacts
very quickly and very seriously. That is called
anaphylaxis. Sometimes, exposure to what is normally a
harmless substance or intruder, such as pollen, causes
the immune system to react as if the substance is very
harmful. The body will shut down if the intruder isn’t
given certain chemicals (drugs) to render this reaction
harmless. You might think this is an overreaction of
the body to an intruder, but as it presents such a
strong and life-threatening reaction, it is crucial to
recognize it. And recognize it quickly! This is all
done automatically by your body.
Have you ever sought out medical help and been asked
about “allergies”? It’s an automatic reaction with
nurses, and I would imagine it’s the same with many
other health care professionals. (I catch myself asking
people this in a general conversation! It’s second
nature to me.) Allergies are not a problem until you
are exposed to the culprit, and your body has already
determined it doesn’t want it in you. Then it sends a
very clear message. “Get it out of here”! Often you
aren’t even aware that something unusual or potentially
harmful is brewing, until you can’t breathe and feel
panicky!
People often already know their allergies. No health
care provider would give them anything related to that
allergy. I am sure you are aware of the problems some
people have with sulfa drugs and penicillin. Many
people wear bracelets announcing them and know all the
antidotes to prevent further body damage by carrying
certain drugs at all times such as Epi-kits.

There will be some changes in this column folks. It will
become less regular. I find myself busy with too many
things. That is one of the reasons why I stopped the story
The Saga of Pinehill. I ended up too busy and the story was
not progressing, but rather repeating some of the points it
contained. This column will not be as regular, for the same
reason.
What I will do, however, is at least put a title or headline
in the table of contents area so you will know if there is
an article or not.
My wife and I are at that age where we would like to do some
traveling. I intend to buy a laptop computer so I can do
some work but that does not mean I can be a regular
contributor to this column - Perspectives.
This is just a little forewarning. The ezine will go out
every weekday as usual. It is just that some days I may not
be able to write this column. Many thanks for your patience
and understanding.
I see more anti-American feelings being expressed by the
left wing leader of Venezuela. This poor man sounds as if he
is angry all the time. He is one of those who sure does like
the color of American dollars and the development they help
create in his country but he sure talks against America.
Another tyrant it sounds like.
One problem, though. The more tyrants we have around the
world the thinner US resources become to defend against
them, especially when other countries don't feel like
participating.
It almost appears as if the US really is the world's
policeman. Yet some of the world doesn't see it quite that
way and are not thankful for it. They see it as the US
trying to gain control of every country.
Here we go again, right? Here we have all the reasons why it
is almost impossible to live a life of peace. It is ongoing
folks. It never ends - except - it can end for an individual
person. Each person can make a decision to be peaceful and
at peace within themselves. At that point they change their
lives. They no longer have to compare themselves to their
peers. They can take charge of their own life and prosper
because of it. Peace is a personal decision and can be yours
right where you are. That is what the story The Saga of
Pinehill is about, a blueprint for you to follow. If you
want peace and prosperity within your own life then get the
